With an interesting and modern range of goods, Dawson’s is like a small department store, with Maxwell’s cafe bar selling THE BEST COFFEE for when you need to take a break. Food also is excellent.

Always work hard on price, stocking & service. Their discount for account holders is very attractive.

Great products great place to shop.

Ordered an expensive BBQ that took several weeks to arrive. On arrival it was dropped off looking like it had been dropped off the lorry and kicked onto the drive. After contacting customer services they responded to say it is only the tape on the box and I will have to pay for a courier to return.

Their courier sent our order to a neighbours address without confirming this was appropriate, where the package was stolen from their porch. Refused to provide a refund or replacement contrary to their legal responsibilities. Refused to share complaints policy and were unhelpful over email. Avoid.

Terrible customer support. After delivering a badly damaged Weber BBQ (broken grill and bent shelving) and initially saying they would sort by referring to Weber, I have not had any response to any of my follow emails for 3 weeks now.

Fantastic store for anything you need at all. Even while the main shop is closed due to covid the downstairs staff in the hardware shop will go and get you what ever you need out of the main store. They sell the most beautiful items to make your home a dream and every thing you could ever need for any DIY project.

I like old fashioned shops. The price of their ironmongery (STOP USING THE AMERICANISM ‘HARDWARE’) is very competitive. Their nails are about 25% of the price at (‘always cheaper’!!!!) Homebase down the road. Staff always obliging.
Now things are getting back to normal (?) get back to Dawson’s.
