Write a ReviewToday Monday I was told to go to the Walk-in centre there. Driving to the car park was Horrendous. Cars parked all around on the pavements on corners had to struggle to go round the corners no spaces at all. Couldn’t even stop for cars …
The hospital and staff are great. My only downside to report is the parking. Although it looks like there is alot of parking it is extremely difficult to get a parking space close to where your going. We have used the a&e facility a few …
I was in Ward 3 yesterday for day surgery, a busy place with lots of patients. I have to say from the moment I arrived I was met with nothing other than kindness, compassion and utter professionalism. The nurses, surgeons and admin staff …
fell down the stairs and injured my back. The ambulance came because my heart was hurting and took me to another hospital. Unfortunately, the ambulance easily left me in the wrong building without any help or report, and I was without a …
Sharon Turnbull- an exceptional nurse, looked after my fathers today and my family and I will be forever in her debt. She was so friendly, calm and professional in what looks like a war zone, with so many patients needing attention. In all …
My husband was admitted to Ward 7 via A & E and Rochdale Infirmary during Easter Monday and spent a total of 5 days in the hospital. We cannot praise highly enough the efficient care and treatment he received in all areas. We would like to …
The parking is absolutely dreadful. Tiny small car parks, people parking their cars on curbs and hardly any spaces. Much more staff parking. I get this hospital must have a lot of staff but what about patients? The parking has really put me off wanting to come back!
The hospital is not too bad and the staff are ok but terrible for parking , sometimes there’s no space at all to park , they need to sort the carpark out as its cramped and its hard to drive around looking for space . I took my mum today …
Called the outpatients department to book an interpreter for my mother as I am not allowed to interpret on her behalf. I was asked for her NHS number, DOB, address etc. Once I confirmed all these details, the receptionist asks if my mum is …
Be prepared for a wait with A&E but no different to any other hospital. Always found treatment to be pretty quick once you’ve been assessed. Doctors / Nurses are always helpful and professional. My go to hospital.
I was on ward 2 after a heart attack. The care I received from all the staff was outstanding. They are very skilled and professional. The kept me going with , fun, laughter, inclusion, and care. They are fabulous
I was in hospital recently, the consultant m Dowling was amazing, kind and reassuring the staff on ward 12 looked after me extremely well ,obviously nobody really wants to be in hospital but the whole experience was made as pleasant as is possible,I just want to say a massive thank you to all the doctors and nurses xx
In and out in 4hrs…for A&E departments,success.
Had expected a more traumatic experience. Thanks to the staff who were professional and personable ..smooth transition throughout. A special shout out to Chris in UTC. Could not complain about anything. Keeping the faith in the NHS.
I went here at 9pm after a call with 111 about my endometriosis pain as it was unbearable , they told me to go to Fairfield hospital as it would be under appointment and would be less wait time than Bolton A&E. The moment I got there I was …
Great people work here! I’m in ward 12 right now, everyone is very helpful, answers questions, is interested in the condition of patients. I feel safe and taken care of.
Not a nice experience last time. Waited 7 hours to then be told to go to a different hospital. Absolutely ridiculous. Wouldn’t go here unless my life was in danger, which it was last time. The NHS need to sort the hospitals out.
Serious review needed.
I called 111 for my brother, they called 999 ambulance required brother was having heart attack. …
Well with out going into much detail,
I was there for a outpatient appointment and it wasn’t the sort of one you talk about but even though it was my first time, …
Thanks to the nurses and staff in the silver heart unit ward one especially nurses Lynn Sophie and Charlotte and John the porter
He made me feel at ease down in the theatre you are all a credit to the hospital the nurses kept me well informed couldn’t have asked for more well done you are stars
It is the worst hospital to go to in emergency. As my mum was treated as nobody while she is a cancer patient was suffering a chest infection. I would rate zero. The date was the 8th of April at 8.30pm which ever nurse came to look after rashta parveen did not do her job properly. She expected me to do everything.
Took my daughter to A&E yesterday to see if her apendix had issues. Only to be sent away saying its proberly just a stomach bug. I’m now sat in A&E in Oldham with her being operated on because of her appendix.
Parking is horrendous. I spent nearly 30 minutes trying to find a parking space. Eventually I gave up. I parked in a side street opposite the hospital only to get a parking ticket as its permit holders only. The day after I parked on Aldi car park and walked the 1/2 mile.
Do your best to avoid their A&E!
I had an 8 hour wait, with agonizing pain and fever, left on my own in the waiting room, without anybody checking on me, only to be sent to their UTC in the …
This is my own opinion which I would like to share. I stayed at Fairfield Hospital Ward 14 for just one day.A small surgery.

While my friend was in a lot of pain, they made the patient wait for 7 hours and after that long just one nurse who doesn’t know about anything see and didn’t do anything. They have the worst service and do not respect people’s time and …
If I could ZERO stars I would. Went for bloods. Some girl, I’d like to say nurse, but that was questionable, plucking her eyebrows in the mirror, in the same room I was having bloods done, while the other one was booking a holiday on the …
It is ridiculous that an hospital has 99% of the car parking reserved for staff only and 1% for patient. Spend more then hour to look for a park and obviously I missed my appointment. What a disappointment.
Great staff so caring and helpful. Made me feel looked after . Will be visiting for a few more times . Only issue is parking . building a multi-storey would be an advantage
“I have had more experience of, ‘The Irwell Unit, Signet North & South Psychiatric Ward’s,’ Than I Have Of The Main Body of The Hospital. I Have Had A Few Times Over The Years Where I Have Had To Pay A Visit to The, ‘A&E Dept.’ In Cases …
Thank you to the Fairfield and Salford ICU teams, the job you do while providing as much dignity, reassurance and care that you do is absolutely out of this world. Thank you for everything you have done, it will forever be appreciated.
Paeditric A&E- you’re a wonderful bunch! My daughter was starting to get a bit scared with her breathing today- by the time she was transferred to NManc today, she was saying how much she liked it and wants to come back! You definitely put …
Was in ward 14 for a new hip, just over a weeks ago not impressed, to be quite honest couldn’t wait to leave. Cleanliness was a big issue with me. Staff ok but Cleanliness was laughable. Couldn’t wait to leave. Not impressed.
I went there this morning for a gastroscopy and was treated from start to finish with the best care and attention ,the staff were friendly and made me feel relaxed

You can always tell the strengths and weaknesses of a hospital by the way its A&E service is run. Oddly, I am not a local resident, what happened to me is that my main local hospital was over subscribed on a Friday night and the ambulance …

Beautiful Nurses, Beautiful Doctors thank you for making a Hospital Phobic patient feel less Anxious. These people need Medals as well as Pay Rises.
Do not bother with AnE. Came in with chest pains and had coughed up blood. 6 hours later I had to discharge myself because I wasn’t being seen by a doctor and it was starting to affect my mental health
Avoid as much as possible. 9 hour wait times but when you ask how long it will take they say 1 hour to stop you from getting up to leave. 9 hours is a absolute joke.

My 2 years old boy had a blood test in the outpatient pediatric unit and from the beginning to the end, nurses were absolutely brilliant. They put him at ease, distracted him with toys and books and job was done very quick and easy. He just had a tinny little cry and that was that.

My daughter with special needs went in today on ward 12 for her teeth cleaning, xrays, possible extractions. I would just like to say how professional and friendly all the staff were, from the ward staff, porter and to the anesthesiologist. What a positive outcome. Thank you all so much.
Just had the most exceptional care for 3 days in ward 7. The staff were excellent made you feel better with their cheerful attitude. Clinical care was top notch. Although you pay to park it is reasonable.
