Write a ReviewArriving in the early hours I thought I was having a mild heart attack and was worried about worse to come. I saw a nurse quickly and tests were carried out. There was then a long wait and results came some hours later and I was seen by a …
Absolutely outstanding care by all the staff I came across In endoscopy at furness general. I am not from Cumbria originally and was nervous attending a new hospital but they were fantastic, friendly, very professional and made me feel so much better than I anticipated. Amazing set up and teamwork…. Thank you so much!
My elderly mum broke her hip. A & E were absolutely phenomenal. Which actually puts the rest of the hospital to shame. The food i would not feed to my dog. She left without actual being reviewed properly. Her own doctor has never told half of her problems .
Was in A&E with my elderly mother for 15 hours, whilst this is a horrendous time to be stuck there all the nurses were fantastic in particular Angelo and Ashleigh. We were predominantly looked after by a Dr in her GP training, (going to be …
Firstly I have had nothing but 1st class care from Furness General.
I came in to A&E with a sore eye and was in and out in just over 2 hours, which I didn’t think was too bad, and definitely less time than I expected. …

Arrived in A& E and was seen in 10 minutes for BP, blood test and ECG. But then I sat waiting for 4 more hours . The waiting room was hot and busy and nobody was wearing a mask. I finally asked at reception and was told that the ECG …
Just wanted to say what a fantastic experience we had at the paediatric outpatients department this morning! We traveled up from Lancaster as My little boy was booked in for some tests and honestly the doctors and nurses were simply amazing …
Absolute embarrassment to the NHS this hospital, me and my partner were rushed and fobbed off when going for a 30 week growth scan. The specialist said they would ring us to review some medication in 2 days. (5 weeks and we’re still waiting) changed to lancaster and couldn’t be happier with the care we got there
Currently a patient in fgh. Why do they take your medication from you..lock it away..and make you wait over 2 hours to get a prescription from the doctor to give your own meds back to you?? Beggar believe
I’ve been told about the lovely sausages and excellent beer garden. Couldn’t fathom why there is a dedicated bin for mashed potato but I look forward to seeing it with my own human eyes. (Not to be confused with potato eyes) #savetheNHS
My 81 year old mother was a day patient at FGH having a hernia op. All the staff who looked after her were great, and helped her overcome her fears. Not easy times for NHS staff, and they were all kind & courteous. Well done!
I cannot fault the care I got from all the staff in the gynecology unit from the receptionist to all the nurse, they really put me at ease
Spent 3 hours in a and e and minor injuries for ear infection on Friday with suspected piercing jewelry in my ear! Don’t like to complain but a and e staff not particularly friendly and guy on minor injuries desk positively surly. After 2.5 …

Went for a tour round birth Centre, absolutely phenomenal from the staff right through to the rooms. Amazing place, knowledgeable and friendly staff. Felt right at home, the birth rooms have a pool in them. Everything has been thought …
Absolute Angels can not do enough for you. I was in A&E recently and although it was very busy everyone worked their little socks off, it took 4 people, fluids, medicine and lots of kindness and hardwork to get me better so I could go home. Thank you so much xx
This week we had to take my Mother to A&E twice with dementia related issues. We were treated with exceptional care by the staff: Kerry, Alison and Karen. They showed my Mum kindness and compassion. Our family are extremely grateful for …
Great atmosphere, good sausages. Idyllic beer garden. Was left wondering about the mash potato bin. Fried egg available on request. #SaveTheNHS
If I could give 0 stars I would. Staff just dont care, my mother went in with heart and lung problems, she was not given her medication that would save her life, which was prescribed by experts in the field. When she pressed the panic …

I can’t compliment the team at A&E enough. I injured my knee whilst jogging. The team from start to finish treated me like royalty. 5 stars are not enough. Thanks guy’s
Their efforts to turn this place into a prison look almost complete. Even the staff have to ask permission every time they want to take a patient from A+E for an x-ray or other scan. It was a great hospital (atmosphere) for the first 20 …

After still feeling pain after morphine, the A&E Dr basically said I was making …
I have been a ‘guest’ here on many occasions over the past 2 decades. I have always found the experiences to be positive and friendly.
My husband, Geoff Rose, was taken by excellent paramedics from Seathwaite, Nr Broughton to A&E, after collapsing suddenly on Bank Holiday Sunday 1/4/18 afternoon. We were given amazing support and medical attention throughout our time …

Had my son in Barrow due to there being no space in Lancaster to be induced and all I can say is WOW, it was like a hotel. The maternity care I recieved was excellent especially Edith and Tandy who looked after me so thank you x
For me is tha best 👌 hospital 🏥, best doctor and best nurse ❤️! …
Absolutely disgusting. My wife is very ill and they cast her off saying go see your GP and the GP does nothing. I need help to look after her but I am struggling on my own! The reception staff are ignorant and the doctors do not listen. The nurses are clueless and seem to think they are better then doctors. An utter joke!
After visiting A&E this morning 9th mar 19 the staff were outstanding even the lady cleaner had time to talk to me. The African lady Doctor( tila ??) who treated me was superp she had time to explain everything clearly and fully, she was understanding and compasionate. Priceless
Great staff in A&E ,x ray department.very polite and helpful.but in Minors area receptionist is very rude (feels bit racist). This man worked on 11/07/2022 around 2.30.

Marvelous staff on Ward 9 so incredibly very supportive and compassionate. Superb consultant Dr.Stokes. You are a credit to the NHS. Thank you all!
my brother went in last Saturday 28th Feb and his son and i cannot find out very little information, and what we get is generalisation and no real news have asked for the name of the consultant to get any real information , but the sister would not give it. we are truly worried but no one cares.
Had excellent care on every stay in FGH, staff in A&E are so kind and diligent. Maternity care was fantastic, gynae and surgical have been brilliant.

AMU’s staff were brilliant with mam
The waiting time for management and treatment is freaking horrendous. Ive been waiting for more than 4hrs yet nobody sees me. I even work as staff in the hospital. Worst experience ever. 👎 …
Yet again excellent and effective care in A&E for a mere nosebleed – although one that refuses to stop & had to be cauterised. Everyone so kind and supportive as well.
Lots of space in the pay and display car park, I was seen quickly and the staff were all fabulous.

I have been waiting 22 weeks to have Laser treatment after my new lens have clouded over.Spoilt my holiday because I couldn’t see what I was doing.
Not impressed with On site Manager hospital transportation, really messed 82 year old dad around after cancer surgery
Ward 5 staff were lovely though,
It would help if girl on switch had information on pharmacy opening times for folk who have to travel in for their prescription. As it is she knows nothing!
Thanks so much to the emergency department staff, ex-ray staff and doctors and nurses for the fantastic care and support.
