Write a ReviewSo many hard working folks working too hard and not smart. Things that should be quick take hours. There is way too much bureaucracy and not enough common sense. This hospital is not able to safely and efficiently serve the community. …
Went to Kettering General Hospital yesterday in the waiting area with a lot of people staff are running round, trying their best you can see that clearly the lady on reception as you go in needs to be a little bit more kinder to people …
Could not fault the chronic pain ward clinic. The nurses and helpful and cheerful, the space is spotless. The ward is split into men and women’s spaces, the loos are very clean. The doctor had a great bedside manner. Also really quick!
I had accident with the garden shears, on arrival the receptionist lady was very pleasant and professional. …
I must say the two ladies that took care of me were lovely and very supportive however… I had eye surgery here and they lost all my paperwork. They had to redo some paper work that I came in a week prior to do and then my surgery had to be …
Over the past 11 days I have two visits to the Miami ward and two days in Ashton ward to fix my broken leg. The care, attention and professional conduct of every member of staff has been superb. Considering how poorly these staff are …
The professionalism of the staff is second to none. Absolutely fantastic, reassuring and helpful. Unfortunately they are also very understaffed and overworked which can result in long wait times and is not the fault of those who work here. …
The TIA clinic staff and Dr, were reassuring and explained why they were confident that I was not at risk of a stroke and did not believe I had had a stroke, although no cause could be identified for the symptoms I had in December, if I …
I cannot praise the endoscopy staff enough for the treatment and care I received recently. Thank you each and everyone of you and in particular I would like to mention Shannon. Her kind, bubbly, cheerful personality. Dawn x
Just a disaster. I had my newborn under a treatment and they needed blood count so the specialists from London can keep an eye on the cancer cells and liver. These tests are very important as we need to make sure that either we stop the …
Shockingly bad experience after being rushed to A&E after being in a car crash and then stuck on a ward for 14 hours surrounded by old dying people with nurses who seemed more interested in gossiping amongst eachother rather than caring for …
My sister Elizabeth mumford was a patient in ITU and sadly passed away. I can’t thank all the staff on the unit , for their excellent care, treating her with kindness and dignity throughout her time in the unit. They were all very kind …
Paid parking at a hospital makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. People aren’t intentionally hanging out at hospitals, they are there to support family that are in need. By all means validate that each user is using the parking for the …
Commanding immediate action, a dear friend is experiencing severe neglect at the hands of Poplar Ward. On one occasion they stripped off her Oxygen supply unlawfully for Two Hours with no explanation as to why despite mandatory …
Terrible attitude from staff, lack of communication between departments, incorrect information given to patients. Urgent cases left for hours unattended with no help or supervision. Errors in paperwork and even when they acknowledge …
Utterly vile hospital. Neglect is at the forefront here. Pretty B ward predominantly show lack of care and leave patients unfed and with lack of fluids. No documentation to show fluid intake when asked for it. Lost my father’s wheelchair …
Would like to thank this hospital with my partner who helped him with reassurance after his heart attack. As he had chest pains, they were thorough with tests and monitoring him. Seeing the cardiologist who was great and the nurses especially the paramedics who treated him
Superb today looking after my mum, thank you so much.
Yes we had to wait but all the staff were outstanding, so kind and helpful.
Absolutely wonderful, couldn’t have done a better job.
Thank you everyone.
I had to go to A&E today as slipped and needed 6 stitches on my brow. The care was amazing I was in and out in about 40 minutes, the staff were lovely and so well organised and the nurse that stitched me was absolutely wonderful I think her badge said Shelli so thank you Sheli
Kettering General Treatment Centre. No disabled parking as MRI and Breast Scanners in spaces. A lot of building work going on, seems to be never ending. The staff are lovely in the Day Ward.
Everyone here was really helpful and kind. I was in and out within an hour. Very friendly staff who know their stuff, much better than the hospitals where I used to live 🙂
Went to a&e with a broken foot. They dint even show me my X ray said fracture clinic will ring me in a couple of days and I’m still waiting such a shambles of a hospital won’t be going to the place again and they dint even tell me it’s broken.
I was petrified having an angiogram but can’t praise the.staff in the cardiac unit enough
They are brilliant caring professional and reassuring. Felt totally relaxed in the.first few minutes.
THANK YOUXX
I have seen on the BBC news about kettering hospital being slated for poor sepsis care, I had sepsis 5 years ago, went to kgh, the service I received was second to none, was in a bed and on treatment within about 3 hours, they saved my life, cannot praise them enough
We had to attend A&E this weekend . Was dreading the wait period .
From entering department at 9.10 am to leaving at 11.45 my husband was treated with the upmost respect from nurses to the wonderful doctor attending him . …
This hospital is an absolute disgrace. It was unable to give my terminal mother even the most basic of care. Food was just dumped on her table and she can barely see due to Diabetes. She had a plaster removed and the nurse was asked to stop …
6 hours of wasted time sat there to not be seen and just go home and be told after getting a covid test 4 hours after arriving that I’m positive… doesn’t look very positive to me !!! Also failed to mention the abandoned sick bowl just left under the chairs for hours!!!
Been today at this hospital for day surgery on my finger and all the nurses and doctors were very nice and friendly .
The long wait in A&E coffee machine set to half a cup @£1.50 a pop the Costa cafe nearby by is much better two deck parking on the way in.
disabled ♿ parking on the old original carpark out front 2 hrs free parking see …
Absolutely the worst hospital ever I ws admitted for mental health issues got told by a nurse I was nuts. They treat patients horrific Clifford ward was amazing .
Arrive early for my barium meal x ray was called in straight away treated with the best respect thankyou so much.
My mum just turned 80 and is in Twywell ward due to having brain cancer and seizures. I couldn’t thank the hospital enough for taking care of her while being a patient. Sadly though for what ever reason she caught *hospital covid* and got …
Not bad care but not the best, went to A&E for bad kidney pain was seen but had to wait the entire day for blood test results. Should have been kept in due to temperature, low blood pressure and dehydration but they discharged me without …
Do not, under any circumstances, come here. Staff are incredibly rude and doctors are not competent enough to interpret the most obvious, first year textbook, clinical signs. Seriously, even your pet labrador could do better.
Thank you all on the Lamport Ward for your care and attention to our Father Thomas Benson.
Let’s save the NHS the staff are FANTASTIC!
A particular thanks to Dr Joshi for his prompt response and his many years of my care. The one Dr who was able to diagnose my underlying condition after many years of seeing different Drs here in the UK and abroad and put things into place …
I was taken in and had emergency surgery at 2am – a team was assembled once the seriousness of my illness was established. Fortunately I became prioritised amongst many in a and e. The op went well and I woke up in an acute surgery ward. …
All staff very good, but alot are working too hard in a place that should have been modernised decades ago.
The Hospital Building is not suitable for purpose at all and wants pulling down, having dwellings built on the land and a new hospital built somewhere close by.
The last 2 years this hospital had been worse than ever, giving wrong medications to people and getting peoples notes and identity mixed up and also any complaints are not properly investigated so they just get away with it and it’s such a …
I have to say how wonderfully caring and informative the team at ENDOSCOPHY DEPT have all been. I had a rather tough time family wise and anxiety wise and throughout my proceedures the team were so supportive and showed patience. I have …
I had a growth on my neck which was removed on the day surgery unit, the care I received was exceptional, the nurses and surgical team were amazing.
Doing well. Needs a lot of updating. Little bit tired a building. Good nurse and doctors I sense. Great professional atmosphere. Not so sure if the chariots that bring in the covid are upto the task much. They could do with a bit of an update in technology. Coffee & parking ££££££££+££££££
My partner had to have laser eye surgery on Spencer ward this afternoon. The nurse, Mandy, was absolutely brilliant. She could see how nervous my partner was and did everything she could to help make his experience as comfortable as …
Really excellent and efficient care. We were seen very quickly after my Fiancee fell and fractured her ankle. I cant praise the professionalism and care of the staff enough, especially from the MiaMi department. Thank you so much.
The staff were wonderful in MIAMI. Thank you to you all. First a delightfully bubbly ‘can do’ lady in a maroon coloured top, Christine Smith, found a wheelchair, helped my Mothers’Union friend, Elizabeth Anne McQuistan (Anne), into the …
Absolutely disgusting place . I thought consultants/Doctors were supposed to sign an oath to care for patients? Oh I forgot only private paying ones more likely! Complaining gets you nowhere! This Hospital has been on special measures on numerous occasions- hardly anything to boast about! They just do not care!
They are very hardworking folks and very helpful but the people who are dispensing the medication needs to be proffessional sometimes. They was a girl dispensing the medication busy chatting instead of serving customers and she was on her phone. They need to be proffessional and making sure customers come first not phone’s.
Every time I have been in something has gone wrong, either the doctors are clueless and seem too lazy to figure out any problems, or the wait time has been ridiculous or we’ve missed appointments due to no parking spaces, it’s not great
Excellent care. Good communication. Decent selection of food choices.
This place is useless. The staff are rude and ignorant, when they answer the phone they are rude, discriminatory lying midwives and you can never get through to the department you need and they don’t ever respond to voicemails and have …
Attempted to get in touch with radiology through the operator at KGH and once I explained what it was for I was hung up on! Very rude person! They certainly need more training in dealing politely with the public who pay for their salaries!
Have been in and out last 3 weeks, 2 visits to A&E, around 8 nights on separate occasions on wards. The hospital is actually fantastic – the ward staff are so lovely and caring. I used to live in Northampton – anyone who complains about …
My Husband was taken to A and E after a fall we cannot thank or praise the staff enough was there about 3 hours was treated with care and kindness. You only hear negative things these days but he was treated very well
Varies from department to department. Don’t want to lump them all together but some operate far better than others.
I was loading archives to council benefits department and back.Five times per day-full transit van…
Visited and waited for 8 hours. Explained the situation to the receptionist and she was rude. Did not care about the well-being of others. A man was chocking for 7 hours and was ignored. Worst experience with the NHS.
Massive thankyou to Lara and Jessey from planned care 100% care as usual credit to KGH
A man was sick on the floor of the waiting room and despite telling the lady at reception, and several doctors, it was left there in the middle of the room for 45 minutes. The room I was eventually examined in, 6 hours after arriving in …
I was collected by Ambulance on 13 October after a bad fall on the street.at 8 pm The Ambulance crew where incredible, kind put me at ease first class. At A & E I had 2 x rays one CT scan and the most amazing experience. I never once felt …
A&E is a joke, dusty/dirty floors, no toilet roll in the male or female toilets and not enough seating
Shame on the UK and NHS to have such a dirty unorganized hospital…
It’s more like a farm than a hospital..
Better to die at home than on a chair waiting to be seen.
Absolutely brilliant care given to me when I was taken to KGH with a suspected heart attack. Everyone from the Ambulance people that took me there to the surgeon that operated on me to the nurses that took care of me were wonderful. I was …
Just wanted to mention the two lovely car park attendants that helped me today (3.45pm Wed 23rd June) when I couldn’t find my car. I don’t know Kettering and had to attend for some tests. I am so grateful to them for their kindness today …
My husband was rushed from Peterborough to Kettering after suffering a heart attack. Within 2hrs of having an ambulance called, he was admitted, treated with a stent being fitted and on the ward. All the staff we encountered when arriving …
Excellent quality of care given to our Mum. The nurses and doctors were brilliant, keeping me informed of Mum’s progress throughout. Thank you so much to everyone.
Last week Dr Verma told me I’d made up my Illness in my head. Today received a call from a woman who appeared to be lovely, her name was Angela McInnes in the Digestive Diseases department, inviting me to come in for a review on a procedure …
Never had a positive experience with this place. Would prefer to travel further away from home even in emergency for a better level of care for my family
Waiting times varied , however for send home early hours of Sunday morning still in pain and increased swelling. Been through to nhs 111 today as no improvement and still concerned. Saw a dr and looks like I have sprained tendons rupture- …
Covid management well observed on a visit to Eye Department out patients. Friendly, helpful staff. Efficiently run clinic.
No parking, red lines every where no parking allowed and when you do get a parking space you have to pay for it!!
Shocking ,
I want to thank Dr Joshi of the Rheumatology Dept for my telephone appointment today.
His comprehensive explanation of my situation and treatment could not have been …
The best hospital, clean, the staff is kind and helpful. My husband said it was like a 5* hotel. No negative experience at all. Bravo doctors and nurses.
I waited 8 hours in the emergency room so I was sent from corby to where I also waited 5 hours in advance.they didn’t ultrasound which would have been a great help, I had to go to a private doctor for it. they don’t care about a my problem that is just as urgent.(I weighed heavily and have big internal pains)
Awlful experience a few weeks ago. Most staff are caring and do their best.
The wait times is horrendous, 13 hours spent from arrival to departure. This was after being told by ambulance.
It’s easy to give a place 1 star when you’re not happy but not so easy to remember how hard people work. I arrived at A&E in a lot of pain and upset. From my first point of contact I was treated with care and empathy. I waited a short while …
Dangerously understaffed! My friend went in for a planned induction at the start of the week, has been promised progress after progress but instead left in limbo. Staff are using drugs to slow contractions after beginning the induction …
I had a minor op yesterday at the surgical day care unit.
My level of care was flawless.
Thank you all for your professionalism and friendliness.
Thank you NHS ❤️
Worst place people die there 5 houser weiting that is joke
Attended for a CT scan which didn’t take long at all. Very efficient.
Excessive wait times, very rude staff and unhelpful doctors. Appalling care of patients and staff who do not know they are suppose to be caring for people who are ill, a true representation of the NHS! Bring in private health care and sack all the staff and hire some decent nurses and doctors!
