Write a ReviewFriendly staff and amazing teaching facilities. Spacious campus with many stunning views and sunsets. Even a lovely woodland trail for walks or runs. Has everything you need all in one campus community.
Lancaster University is a fantastic institution with a strong reputation for academic excellence. The campus is beautiful, the facilities are top-notch, and the professors are highly knowledgeable and supportive. The university offers a …
Not impressed at all. Staff messed up big time with course paperwork, caused LOADS of stress/distress to someone who’s already ill, and now wants to scam them for a huge, ridiculous amount of money, for no services provided. We are strongly …
Very poor experience as a graduate; it’s nice campus and good facilities, however support as an undergraduate was atrocious both during studies (2008-2011) and after graduation. …
Not a good place for building snowmans but a good place and environment for study abroad. I met many of my good friends here, everyone is good and takes care of me all the time like family. Cannot believe we had just known each other for few months
Inspiring, relevant, vibrant. Well organised open day with enthusiastic ambassadors 🙂
Very organized campus with unique collegiate system. Student accommodation is clean and comfortable. There are laundry shop which includes washing and drying in access. There are seminar rooms, library, learning zone and computer rooms for group and self study. Im doing my second year and enjoying my time here in Lancaster University <3
Wouldn’t say it’s a beautiful campus, I studied in BC, Canada before, which is a much nicer place. However, it’s a good place to study as there’s no distractions nearby (small town). The staff here are really friendly and the school cares about their students. They’re doing a great job in all aspects.
Visited the University campus at an open day for my son, found the university to be surrounded with pleasant volunteers and faculty staff who were a credit to the institution. …
We visited for the open day and overall we were very impressed. Everyone we spoke to were helpful and polite. The Margaret Fell lecture theatre was great, the other lecture theatre there we visited was quite as good, certainly not from the …
Beautiful place and it had excellent teaching resources for students
One of the best campus I have ever visited in the United Kingdom
Amazing new sports center with the latest TechnoGym equipment. COVID safety measures in place limiting the number of users and booking required for each time slot. …
What a place. The students are seem to have everything they need on campus and what I have seen the opportunity to learn is fantastic. If you are ready for uni definitely give Lancaster a look.
Visit was for a Covid/flu vaccination. We’ll organised, calm, cheery faces. Competent road, parking, administration staff , and relatively fast.. given numbers attending. I hope those staff received some level of payment.
A (not so) great place if you want to be subjected to racism, bigotry and unfair treatment. If you’re a person of colour I would highly recommend against attending this not-so-fine institute as the politically incorrect and apathetic …
Wide open spaces, modern facilities, good quality accomodation, although the en suite is a little small and not enough fridge/freezer space per student. Plenty of on site branded facilities – Greggs, WHS, Costa, Post Office, Spar, Coffee Republic, Subway etc. Buses to Lancaster and Morecambe
Very conducive learning environment with cutting library…. Good place to learn
The uni’s care for my son during COVID left a lot of room for improvement. Also, his course still has not returned to in person lectures despite the rest of the world returning to normal. …
Brought youngest daughter to study maths 6 years after bringing middle daughter to study accounting. Hope she likes it as much as the first 1
University advertisement may deceive you. They tried to come off as an inclusive university with students from multicultural backgrounds. They do not advocate and support minorities who have been discriminated against whilst at their …
Very nice university, with a very nice campus. High standards of education.
Well, having studied at Lancaster University for my MSc and PhD and developed my knowledge and skills surrounded by inspiring people, I can only enjoy this environment and spend good words for this uni!
Graduated last year studying management and IT and my time here was brilliant. The campus is very appealing with everything close by, the town is alright with plenty of student nights going on, the teaching is of a decent quality and you …
A brilliant place. Where everyone is accepted
A great university with outstanding facilities and faculty. The students are motivated and invest a substantial amount of time working towards succeeding in the future.
Overall really enjoyed my undergrad here. I hardly ever left campus due to the remoteness, so this won’t appeal to everyone. Accommodation on the whole was pleasant, if a little expensive (grizedale). …
Lovely study environment, and a top 10 UK institution. It has good student accommodation although fairly comfortable and not on the high side. Great quality in teaching and research and they help students with careers and job placements, …
Beautiful campus, lovely student guide, took time out to give my sister a tour. She answered all the questions and gave suggestions. Lovely tour.
I had so much hope for this university but unfortunately it hasn’t lived up to my expectations or what they offered me. the mental health support so far has been lacklustre, and i feel very unsupported. they also extort us financially in regards to rent reductions due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
I had my master degree in project management in 2005. Though the time was short, it was a great experience here. So exited that I am coming back to visit the campus as a tourist next week after my graduation 15 years ago, with my wife, who also graduated here, and 2 kids! Can’t wait to see the campus again. Must changed a lot!
Lovely campus filled with friendly people. Can be quite confusing trying to get from building to building but signposts and campus maps are posted at more populated areas and people are happy to help with directions.
I completed my undergraduate degree at Lancaster and graduated July 2016. I had an amazing 3 years. I knew it was going to be my firm choice as soon as I visited on an open day. The campus is lovely with a brilliant atmosphere – There’s so …
I attended Lancaster University as a Junior Year Abroad (JYA) student in 1973 as an undergrad in English studies exchanged from the University of Pennsylvania USA. What a wonderful and gorgeous campus and surroundings. The university was …
Semi rural setting on edge of town. Good transport links, and top graded academic facilities. Highly rated. Many excellent sports facilities. Lancaster House Hotel next door. Use junction 33 of M6.
Terrible university. It’s a business, not a university. Has a good sales pitch and social media profile but as a university and place of learning, very poor. No way a top ten UK university.
Went to the open day. It was busy and yes there were some restrictions due to Covid19 but on the whole a nice experience. The physics lecture bored me but it’s all above me lol
Did 2 days training in the George fox
Great university! From a first year’s point of view the services on campus are plenty, enough to suit different tastes in food, entertainment, sports. Enjoying every second of it.
Amazing campus facilities. Library and sports hard to beat.
Racism doesn’t seem to matter to Lancaster, so I’d avoid at all costs. I’d say they should do better, but it’s been years. At this point they need to go.
Terrible Admission Staff. I applied in July 2016 and received a decision on my application in January 2017. It took them approximately 6 months to assess my application. Fortunately, I used these months to apply to another university, …
Been working or studying in Physics dept for 15 yrs. Only place that ever accepted me. Would do the same again!
Great University experience. Up to date modern facilities and an exceptionally high standard of teaching
If your a POC I don’t recommend this place, they think racism is ok. Disgusting approach to helping students and disgusting member of staff who call students names and make them pay for things that they don’t have anything to do with.
I graduated in July 2016 with a BSc in Psychology from Lancaster. I can honestly say I had a fantastic three years here – so much so that I’m going back to study my Masters at the university. I would wholly recommend it to anyone, the level of teaching and support available is first-rate.
Stayed in guest room here. Overpriced with a very uncomfortable bed. 6/10 for breakfast but the noisy motorway, mouldy shower and musty smelling towel contrived to leave me less than satisfied.
As a 22 year old chemistry graduate, I was accepted into the University of Lancaster for a PhD degree in Biological Sciences on January 3rd, 1973. The university was new(ish) then but it had everything to make an international young student …
Returned here today for a university safety film, it was great to come back to the place I graduated from 9 years ago, brought back many happy memories.
It was ok. The only thing I have to complain about, was that I asked a dark haired young ish bloke driving a VW golf for directions. He decided to send me on a wild goose chase. I asked another person instead of following his advice, who …
Went there to visit Greggs, directed by the Greggs App. Struggling to find Greggs, kept being directed down a road that was busses only between 8am and 8pm. Eventually had to park in restricted area and walk to Greggs. Luckily didn’t get a parking ticket. Wont visit again.
The teaching is great, better than any well-known schools in UK. You get to learn useful knowledge and practical skills in here, but unfortunately, the whole application process was an entire mess.
My take on the University as an Exchange student, the university prides itself on being #9 in the UK. If you got to a school that’s in the top 200 in the US than you go to a better university than this one. The staff is unprofessional at …
Really beautiful place to study. Picturesque and friendly staff.
I’m currently a first year undergraduate in Ethics, Philosophy and Religion and I love it! Good teaching and resources as well as an excellent campus!
Awesome campus for a sunny day! Great facilities for student and staff. Friendly and cooperative atmosphere.
Wonderful university. Everything on campus you need and more and beautiful city
A beautiful modern campus of a very good university.
Student here in my 3rd year and love the campus layout American style and very appealing. Loved the uni itself everyone gets on and the learning areas are brilliant.
Visited the university for an open day, absolutely fell in love.
Wonderful atmosphere, modern buildings …
Stayed in the university accommodation for two nights. The room was filthy. There were squashed insects on the walls. The room was so dusty that I had trouble breathing during the night (dust allergy). The bedding and mattress must have been about 20 years old and were terrible.
This University is a Very Nice Place to Study For A Degree. The Area Has Received Considerable Investment. The Facilities Are Exceptional. All The Staff Are Very Professional. Abundant Opportunities Exist for Continuation onto Many Masters …
My daughter went here, and said they where the best days of her life.
Excellent university to build your career 😊 …
In my final year of University here, best experience of my life. Computer systems are top notch and lecturers are fun. …
Very nice young man ,service was thorough.
Good campus, small University and all departments at one place, away from city so a pleasing, quiet and healthy atmosphere.
Need air conditioning in the Sports hall.
Excellent booking staff.
Fantastic place. Good selection of shops bars. Other students friendly staff helpful. Sarah will do anything you ask.
Great university .in the top 10 of the uk.
Cant really fault this university .
Great shops . Friendly staff. Lots to do there. I give 5 stars
I am currently having one of the best times of my life in this excellent academically challenging and world leading institution……
it is a bit expensive and it rains a lot, also hope you like 60’s soviet bloc architecture, because lancaster certainly does.
I had an incredible time there. Made billions of friends and memories… Hearing the name ‘Lancaster’ will always put a smile on my face!
Nice college campus that’s surrounded by nature! Also a good place to do run circuit or cycling, or even just for walking.
Amazing place, realistic academic ambience and vobrant
Taking grandaughter back for the new term
Very spacious campus and well thought out in terms of access.
Lancaster University consistently puts profits before student. As a disabled student I had to jump through lots of unnecessary hoops to get the support I needed.
Best uni campus I have been to!
I love this uni, it’s full of amazing people that are so supportive. Forgot the hate, I love this place
Nice campus
A top ranked global university with a beautiful campus and delivering high quality education.
