Write a ReviewSo grateful to all the staff here – I visited A&E and was seen incredibly quickly (even though I came over the Christmas period when I can imagine staffing is difficult). The receptionist, nurse and doctor were all brilliant, very kind and empathetic. A big thank you!!
Our 11 year old grandson hurt his foot this evening 3rd Feb 23, we took him to A&E The reception, nurses & doctor’s were excellent. Thank you all for your kindness and super efficiency. You all put him at ease and was distracted with …
They’re all great in the radiology department, friendly, efficient, and relatively short time from referral to appointment, and report back with GP again relatively quickly. And all that while they’re under the current NHS general underfunding understaffing (thanks to the Tories) pressures! Thank you all very much.
Visited on Easter Bank Holiday. I can’t speak nightly enough of the wonderful care I received in A&E, SDEC and ward 5. The gynae team were excellent. Big thank you to everyone who sorted me out and operated on me. I was scared and teary …
Attended Endoscopy Unit yesterday for a procedure. Everywhere spotlessly clean, lovely warm greetings, nursing care wonderful. Mr Mallik was absolutely lovely, so kind. Huge thank you to Mr Mallick and all the wonderful nursing team there yesterday morning.
Macclesfield A&E Saturday evening. Cannot thank them enough. Took my Mum, 91 years young. They treated her with kindness and quickly diagnosed the problem. Thank you all so much.
Why five stars? Well the NHS service is luck of the draw, if it is not busy, it is very good. You have to be ready to wait if you are not a referral. The Five Stars are for service and care. The A&E staff were fantastic, they were calm, …
I sent a similar review on the NHS website. They haven’t posted it. I took my son to Macclesfield at 9:45am on a Sunday morning. We were quickly seen by triage, bloods taken and had seen a consultant within 90 minutes. He was hooked up to …
I was admitted on Sunday to ward 8 ,the standard of care I received was excellent, the staff were very professional and caring. Well done and thank you all .
I’m grateful for the NHS, and I appreciate that they are currently very underfunded and nurses and hospital staff are very underpaid, but a job is a job. There is no excuse when it comes to patient care, especially when you have people in …
This place is an utter disgrace. Went on Saturday after sustaining a sporting eye unjury, waited 5 hours with many people in front of me. No pain relief given and communication non existent. Nurse was rude and couldn’t be bothered. Left and …

Amazing experience with my 15 year old son. Jester was so good with him (and me) and is a credit to the hospital. Dr Tom was kind, compassionate, thorough and professional. We are so lucky to have the NHS and these excellent professionals. Thank you for everything you do for us in challenging circumstances and an underfunded system
Decided to come here after glowing reports of their midwife unit, they told me they weren’t delivering babies so booked elsewhere and still had to see a midwife here. Firstly on one of my appointments I’d asked about breastfeeding and was …
Very very busy A&E when I arrived I had a very long wait due to this (20hours) and they struggled to find a bed. I went in early for my ct scan appointment. The radiographer was very nice and chatty, put me at ease
Visiting my husband who is a long stay patient in a unit at the back of the hospital. We go to the main hospital to the volunteers Cafe. They are always happy in their work, pleasant to talk to and give you plenty of notice when they are going to close. All snacks and drinks can be purchased.
Attended on a Monday morning and was seen within 15 mins by triage (older lady nurse who was quite unsympathetic and pretty rude) Then waited a further 20 mins to see a nurse practitioner called Claire who was a total breath of fresh air. …
I can’t thank the staff enough. A&,E was chaos. I was taken in by ambulance, the paramedics and I waited for over an hour in a corridor to enter and be treated, in a corridor. The nurses were fantastic and I truly don’t understand how they …

Parking situation terrible, they need more spaces, parking eye set up, be careful where you park, read the signs,Hospital car parking fees were abolished in Scotland and Wales in 2008.
I have attended MDGH twice just recently. On both occasions the appt. times have been kept to and the staff, including the volunteers have been professional, polite and kind.

Absolutely Brilliant! My son hurt himself at school and was brought into A&E. Everyone was great but especially Barbara at the main reception, who took out a £1 from her own purse when i didn’t have change to release a wheelchair. I rarely ever write reviews but was so impressed with the service today that i had to.

I had a total knee replacement on the 20th October and I must say the procedure from start to finish was second to none. The idea of the joint school before you go for the op is really good everything is explained to you, what to expect, …
Had my cataract op on Saturday 27th August. The staff were brilliant, they put me at my ease, I had been worried, of course, about it. I couldn’t believe how quickly and painlessly it was done! Everyone was very professional. As promised, the follow up call came this morning. Can’t praise all the staff enough.

The Intensive Care Unit, who recently dealt with my daughter (Rachel), who passed away, were absolutely fabulous in their care and compassion, keeping the family informed of every stage of her care, we cannot speak highly enough of the superb nursing they gave to our daughter. We waited for 6 hours and we are still here!
We are not coming to this hospital again!
The car park is shockingly bad. I had to drive around for 25 minutes for a space, never found one. So many cars were just circling the car park, made it very difficult to exit the car parks. Makes the hospital unusable. Receptionist said it is always this bad.
This is the best hospital in the region; look at the scandals at Leighton (Crewe), Stepping Hill (Stockport) or Wythenshawe (Manchester) for starters. …
