Write a ReviewThis is a difficult review as I haven’t been to Makro since it was taken over by Bookers some years ago and the range of products has changed considerably, so its difficult not to compare. As I understand it you still need to be a member to …
Worst customer service, never acknowledge you while you wait at the front desk. Deliveries never get delivered I have to go pick them up.
Really gone downhill the last few years, poor customer service and most the staff don’t seem to want to be there or have an interest in helping customers.
The store has has deteriorated in.the amount of goods stocked over the last 3 years . Benefits of being a Gold Card Member have been eroded to the point of non existant. …
I love this place because it has a huge amount of parking and it’s well spaced inside. Everyone loves the sweet isle as it take you back to when the local shop had all of the penny sweets out and you would fill your little paper bag up. On …
My online business account was moved from Booker (Chelmsford Branch), where the service and deliveries were excellent, to Makro (Rayleigh Branch) and since then I have had nothing but problems. Out of the blue my online ordering for …
Children under 16 not allowed in store…does this include babies in car seats?? Really? I’m a breastfeeding mother, so I have to bring my baby with me. To be told I was not allowed to bring my baby in is absolutely ridiculous. I needed to …
Sad day. I know that covid 19 is dangerous and that we allneed to take care. But brought my 90 year old parents for an outing. But only 1 card holder + 1 can go in. No exceptions made. Not the end of the world but sad. Just a shame. No shopping for us today
Macro used to offer a great delivery service and if there was a problem and you phoned, they’d deal with it politely and efficiently, it was excellent service. Unfortunately now you can’t phone them directly, you speak with somebody who …
Not allowed in with anyone under 16, so couldn’t actually enter the store. It’s ridiculous, no other shops have these restrictions, are they actually expecting me to leave my 8 year old home alone or in the car if I have no one to watch her?!
Makro has fot progressively more expensive more than supermarkets
It had what I wanted. Large selection of goods for businesses.
Not as good as it used to be a few years ago im not sure that the bookers take over was for the best as a lot of the lines that were stocked a while ago have sadly dwindled away to nothingness for example where have all the electrical items …
After travelling to Makro for the first time in months I arrived to be told that my child was not allowed into the building because they are not letting people in who are under the age of 16. An utterly ridiculous policy. Will look into using another supplier from now on.
Not what it used to be. No fresh fish, no electricals, half the floor size it used to be, no Argentina beef etc….., in summary a lot smaller range with fewer options.
Great store.
I shop here every Thursday during the lockdown I close my business for 6 weeks now as everyone getting back to normality we back open but because I have my 6year old son with me as we both parents work and kids off school I cant shop in …
Thank you to the staff at this store today, but particularly to Anthony (the first aider) who was a great help when my son hurt his hand under a trolley.
I usually travel to various Booker stores then found I could use my card here because Booker own them. It’s so big with such a big selection that I’ll be using them from now on.
Makro store it self not so great to go around now that it’s just foot etc, used to be alot better when had a variety of things to look round at. Often pop there for the cafe though, cheap and good x and the free drinks are a bonus x
Very disappointed with makro, shop here regularly, turned away for having a child with me who was sitting in a trolley, I totally understand certain restrictions regarding covid however a child sitting in a trolley is doing no harm, so no children under 16, in my opinion is a little over the top.
Staff great but not the shop it ever was… cafe hardly open .. no TVs or anything that it used to have … did love the old store !!!
