Write a ReviewThis hospital is the most outstanding I have ever been treated at. It is a small, non bustling hospital where treatment is second to none. You’re treated with dignity and care that I have never experienced before. Minster ward has amazing …
I had a prostate biopsy performed here yesterday and just wanted to thank all the staff for their excellent and friendly care, particularly the staff in the operating theatre and the man who wheeled me to theatre and talked to me throughout the procedure. You all made an unpleasant experience as good as possible I think.
Just been to Newark x-ray department can not say how great the staff are and so helpful. It’s time the government started to invest in the NHS. What a great service we’ll Done to all at Newark hospital
Nothing but praise for Newark urgent care centre today, especially for Kate ( advanced nurse practitioner) Tom the radiologist and the lovely receptionist who booked me in. It was busy when I arrived. I had slipped on some ice an hour …
Just walked in to Newark Urgent treatment centre , the team in there are amazing.. friendly, helpful and professional.. Thank you for the great job you all do ..
Nice little hospital that seem to keep to the appointment times! Volunteers are absolutely lovely and a credit to the area! Thank you
Took my elderly mother after she had a nasty fall, incredibly helpful staff, seen quickly, we are so lucky to have this excellent facility.
Fast friendly reception. Clean, warm waiting area with large TV for entertainment. Seen quickly be a practitioner who was down to earth, helpful, informative and showed general empathy and warmth.
Very well set out hospital all the staff who I met and dealt with me were absolutely wonderful even though the volume of patients they see daily is high They all do a terrific job and really deserve much admiration my sincere thanks to all.
Today took my 11 month old son to the urgent care due to him banging his face on a radiator, lots of blood, big hole in his mouth (not good) waited around 3 and a half hours for an incompetent doctor to send us home with no real check up …
No stars. My review is based on the opening times with having to sit and wait in agony before the doors open at 9am is outrageous.
Just because you CAN make everyone listen to a 2 minute Covid announcement with lots of information that everybody already knows, every single time they call – doesn’t mean you SHOULD .
Recently attended Newark hospital urgent care all staff friendly and helpful.
Sorted my problem out in no time Nurse Practitioner explained things very well , pity other hospitals are not like this especially ones in big cities .
I work at both of these hospitals Newark and Mansfield and and proud of the NHS ♥️
Had occasion to attend the Urgent care Centre having been a tad stupid with a Utility knife. It was very clean, pleasant the reception staff were very friendly and helpful. The medical team were really good, efficient and professional. In and out in 1 hour! Keep up the great work – Thank you
Imagine the person you are seeing is getting up at 6am on a cold and frosty morning, at 7am scrapping car windows as it’s -2c, then taking a steady 20 mile drive on icy roads to make sure they are there for their first patient at 08.30, …
Had surgery on the 22/08/22 , staff warm, friendly, caring and couldn’t do enough to make your stay as comfortable as possible.
Brillant service from the x Ray department. The x Ray staff were very kind and reassuring . Explained the procedure clearly and took account of the fact that I was less mobile. …
I received FANTASTIC care and a FANTASTIC service recently, starting from from the Chap who scanned me and all the wonderful Doctors and nurses who dealt with me in the Minster ward. …

I had to go for a routine eye test which turned out to be not routine. I had to see 4 different people, one of them twice. All of the staff were excellent, friendly and efficient but the clinic was very busy and I had to wait at least …
When I arrived it stated that there was a 2hr 30min wait (20.00 until 22.30) After waiting, I was then seen by the doctor who was grumpy, didn’t say a lot, then he said there is nothing and I should take ibuprofen or paracetamol. I told …
I had a minor knee operation today (31/5/22) and cannot praise the staff enough, all were polite, friendly and professional, definitely worth a sixth star if it was available, thank you all.
My wife went into the Minster Day Cases Ward for an operation on her foot.

To all the staff on Minster Ward (11.01.21). Thank you for your care and understanding today. Nothing was too much trouble. Our healthcare staff are under massive pressures, but still find time to do the job without question. I have had a …
I attended Newark Urgent Care on the 28th March, and the standards from reception (apologies didn’t catch his name) John (Nurse) and Sarah (X Ray) were first class. Thank you for your knowledge, compassion and speed of service, this is greatly appreciated.
Update: June 2022: Some services and hours of operation have changed. The main site closes at 9pm and the Urgent Care Centre is currently operating from 9am to 10pm seven days a week. However PLEASE NOTE that last patients are accepted at …
WHY DO YOU CHARGE FOR DISABLED PARKING? I am disabled, I am unable to use public transport so have no choice but to drive. Nottinghamshire hospitals etc do not charge. It’s difficult for enough when on benefits to get by. Was there for 2 hours £3.50. Can park in centre of Nottingham cheaper
Don’t go here Lincoln hospital or Nottingham is where you need to go as the wait time is 4 to 5 hours every day all day they don’t have enough staff to cover all the people who go there . They don’t accommodate for children with …
Running one hour (+) late for 5 minute appointments.
Went to (or rather was driven by wife and daughter) the emergency care centre (not sure what its called these days – “Casualty” it used to be) last night at about 11:00pm with intense pain in my right knee (longstanding chronic condition …
After waiting 7 hours with a 2 years old in urgent care for a banged head and cut between eye and eye brow we were offered calpol (7 hours after arrival) and told they had no idea how long the wait would be. I’ve never been spoken to so …
My family had to visit here twice in 9 days. Both time we were booked in and left for over a hour before being seen and told unfortunately there was no doctors on site and I would have to go to Mansfield. Surely if at time of booking patients in they should be made to tell that they don’t have any doctors?
My wife had an mri scan at Newark hospital yesterday While the procedure was horrendous the staff couldn t have been kinder especially the very kind lady who took her aross for the scan.Well done all
Walked into a&e after being told I needed to check if my post operation wound was infected. Was seen by a doctor and out again in less than 30 mins. Absolutely brilliant can’t praise this hospital enough.

I have been to Newark Hospital twice in the last 4 months, for cataract operations.I found the Nurses and the Consultant very efficient and friendly.I could not have had better treatment anywhere. The whole atmosphere in the Hospital was lovely.
Seems overcrowded and under stress, but then most of the NHS is. Car parking is a joke, been there several times and the car park is always full. Each time ended up parking in a nearby road. Allow 15 minutes for parking.

They must be understaffed as no one ever answers the phone and when you do go in the waiting times are a joke. Don’t bother going in. Go to a proper hospital. Its worth the extra journey time.

Everyone is so helpful in Outpatients and I didn’t have to wait very long for a date for an xray.
Good parking. All medical staff was brilliant and professional, and pleasing.
You don’t have to wait too long at the Minor Injuries Unit, however it was not great that they missed my fractured wrist until the X rays were reviewed the following day so I had to return
I’ve been several times for myself and for family members, and have been pleased with both the efficiency and the care we’ve received.
Everytime you ring to be put through to x-ray department the line keeps cutting off everytime so I’ll have to make a trip there now just to book an appointment
Like every other NHS hospital, outstandingly fantastic
Done everything i’ve ever needed doing with efficiency and warmth. The volunteer staff are exceptional and a lovely change. Thankyou all.
