Write a ReviewI must say it’s A fantastic University in the center of Newcastle.
This university is One of the top five Universities in the country.
The architecture is just awesome and the sprawling complex is a mix of architecturally magnificent old buildings and trendy relatively modern ones.
Newcastle University are always great place to study and learn. You can also hold functions in the special events space. They are kept clean and tidy by a great friendly cleaning team. The staff are also friendly. Anyone can stop for a …
It may well be a great place to study but it’s the level of crime that targets students that you must seriously consider. Your property, your lodgings and your cars are all prime targets for the unchallenged criminals that run rife around …
Fantastic of course! A most beautiful walk down memory lane. Had very beautiful memories of my days studying at this wonderful institution.
Student Application Services are non-existent, do not bother to reach out for help you will never hear back. Attend better university else where!
Everything a student could wish for educationally and recreationally center of Newcastle city…
Always an enjoyable gig here. Can be a bit of a squeeze though as everyone walks in and then stops on the right hand side of the venue. Advice is to push through the crowd and on to the other side. It opens up more with a better view of the stage!
Loved it. Left in 1987 and first time back in a professional capacity. Some bits just as I remembered.
Traditional English university, an excellent option for those who can somehow participate in the activities that are carried out here, whether as undergraduate, graduate, partnership, internship, in short, any kind of link. Without doubt an enviable structure !!!!
Went to the uni to see Ella Henderson and here is some pics! Fab venue ❤️❤️
Did my PhD there. Great Uni right in the city centre. International students’ favourite.
My first time to Newcastle, a very beautiful and clean city.
Disgraceful university with lecturers inc the director behind the divisive Cleopatra. Not a good look for the university… I would avoid!
Town & Gown at its very best. A great ‘red brick’ university situated in the heart of a vibrant city. Best three years of my life!
Marvellous building and gardens. I’m glad I visited this place.
If you decide to study here be prepared to chase up most lectures upwards of 6 months for help. Feels like they forget we pay 9k a year for their wages. If you are able to study somewhere else which is just as good of a uni with the a …
If I could, I won’t even give 1 star, it will be lower than 0 for me. I studied here for 8 years and the disappointment I have for this university is only ever increasing. For my fellow international students, save yourself some peace and …
Great facilities, friendly environment, beautiful ambience.
Its so awesome to know that famous people graduated from this prestigious university. Rowan Atkinson was one of the people whom graduated here if you don’t know. The outside of this university is great to take picture at, near a church outside the university. The grass fields compliments the the facade of the building.
English is not my first language and I still consider myself not very fluent in English. Lectures are delivered in English obviously. But unfortunately some of the professors have very strong foreign accents in English, making it more …
I just passed by the university. Very old buildings which give character to an internationally well-recognised university.
An esteemed University with diverse skills and knowledge located in an amazing city. Within 3 years, the university witnesses a number of very interesting development
Crazy mix of freedom and slavery. Really enjoyed having only two days of lectures and five self taught days. Atmosphere of the city is sth very unique to the UK and beer was quite cheap at my time (four years ago). And for some unknown …
A fantastic University in the center of Newcastle. The sprawling complex is a mix of architecturally magnificent old buildings and trendy relatively modern ones. One of the top five Universities in the country and home to many famous alumni.
Very good university, top teaching and research, nice environment, in a great city.
Unfortunately my experience at Newcastle University was horrible. If you are an International student I would recommend you to look the course very carefully and especially the school. …
Best place to study , live and basically enjoy student live
Superb open day, very organised, especially the accommodation visits. Informative sessions and lots of enthusiasm. Its our first choice!
Lovely architecture. ☀️
First class university old buildings steeped in history. Went for my daughters Graduation ceremony. Enjoyable experience well organised staff professional and friendly and helpful facilities first class. Covid aware and rules enforced mask …
Lovely uni. Amazing staff and pleasant experience overall. Studied my master’s degree here. Before the pandemic entered, I can proudly say that this has been no less than a heaven. Peaceful library, can’t complain about any uni building …
Just been to Skindred concert. Great atmosphere
Everywhere is well signposted. I found where I needed to be quite easily.
Wouldn’t recommend for PGR international students
It was good to be back at University for the 1st time since March 2020! I loved the place when I used to vist as a teacher for events, mostly training ones. Now I am lucky to work there part-time. I would not hesitate to recommend it!
City centre very busy with shoppers. Good to see people spending considering the times we are going through
It’s a university and it’s in Newcastle. Based in the city centre it has still has a campus feel. Near to moors and the famous St James Park football ground. Its within easy walking distance to the city centre shops too.
It is the pride of Newcastle and all the heritage buildings are under it as if you are studying amidst history. It is not just about old buildings but there are plenty of new architecture as well. I have only roamed around the sports …
Went for our sons graduation very welcoming and well organised they really did the graduates a good send off with flying colours.
My favourite places in the main campus near haymarket metro station is just beyond INTO building the sitting steps! Art work is scattered around if you make your way to Great North Museum the scenic way! Head to the co-op in the student …
Great place to visit. Lovely people.
A great city and university. Small enough for you to get to know properly, but big enough to get the city life. Three of the best years of my life spent at this beautiful campus; couldn’t recommend more!
To honest, I think this is a wasted space. There are loads of blind spots for the stage. It could’ve been designed so much better.
Four great years spent here studying. Lovely campus right in the heart of the city, with fantastic academic resources and staff. A mixture of original Victorian buildings and cutting edge facilities that reflect the history and current success of the University
They are always striking, i hate my time at this uni, totally not worth the money. Buildings are pretty tho
Staff is not well-informed, they don’t know what they are doing and saying, they don’t reply e-mails, don’t anwer questions, lie, promise things that will never happen, can’t even make properly the timetable The exact opposite of …
An excellent place, regardless of whether it is for studying, roaming at night or sightseeing. Must visit. I really enjoyed the place, the area and the people.
Beautiful building and surroundings the exhibits are fantastic although some of the animals are covered at the moment with no explanation but still worth a visit, the cafe offers good food at reasonable prices and the staff were very friendly throughout the building.
Get the bus its a nightmare driving in Newcastle trust me
A very beautiful and serene higher institution. It accommodate a diverse group of people from all over the world.
I attended Newcastle University and earned my Ph.D. in Urban Planning back in 2008. This was the most rewarding and life enriching experience ever. Great academic standards, amazing facilities, attractive campus and above all world class faculty. If I have to choose all over again, I would still choose Newcastle University. Go 🦁 …
I did my bachelor’s degree in a very small town in the US. I find Newcastle University more diverse and has variety options of food, grocery etc. The only thing bother me is the cleanliness of the campus and the surrounding environment. Plus I got frustrated of traffic. Overall, good place to study and do postgraduate studies.
Very pleasing public areas of this campus, mobile food waggon and a co-op shop. Very enjoyable gardens and buildings
Lovely callous. Beautiful buildings with a mix of old and new. Expands right across the city of Newcastle. I am proud to work here and am passionate about the city and its architecture. A photographer’s dream!
My name is Nasr.
I study in marine engineering.
At Alexandria University. …
Great uni just 5 mins from the centre
Still a very nice place to relax
One of the best and oldest universities in the UK. Students and staff alike are helpful and always friendly, and you’ll receive a top-notch education and social life going here.
I attended a graduation ceremony.
It was well presented and organised

I was actually at the RVI but can I say the staff were and always have pleasant happy and most of all beaming smiles God Bless Them All
I’d hope some intelligent person could develop a timetable without clashes
Visited as part of the “under the stars” celebration, fantastic, great experience.
How was the pandemic lunch time service from a Turkish style customer personnel . ? Smiley thoughtful 😊 service while customer demanded to pay by card. Not by cash …
Great institution for learning and research
my daughter has been studying here for 5 years yet she doesnt know that the ankle is part of ur foot
Seems like it would be a good place to study
I will describe my experience in only two words…awesome & brilliant.
Highly recommended university
Some nice buildings to view and apart from done of the concrete eyesores. The older sections are beautiful.
Completed post graduate Masters here a few years ago medical faculty brilliant and inclusive
Good University in a nice city.
broadened my horizons, the cool crisp clear air and the real heart warming social sensibility of it’s beautiful people and place
Just went to pick my daughter up from university.
Didn’t have time to visit the town.
Nice place to walk through, even if you don’t go to uni.
A miserable place to be. Almost driven to kill myself from anxiety and depression. Thank goodness I left there to seek help.
I was there as a Expert by Experience (EBE) as part of a collaboration on a Research project I’m involved in.
Calm, quite and warm for personal or group studies
James Hodson: beautiful human. Give this fella an unconditional for biology and psychology coz he deserves it. Lots of love fam xx
A great place to study and we enjoyed the library & garden here.
