Write a ReviewEverything was Better than expected given the staff shortages/strains the NHS has been facing recently. Pre-birth the experience was amazing, staff super attentive and lovely (honestly left us in awe of them). …
The level of care we received before, during and after the birth of my son was just amazing! I can’t speak highly enough of the staff that helped us, in some cases it’s hard to put into words. …
I can’t say enough about the staff here, I was originally booked for the birth center, but my labor started with my water breaking, going to the labor ward for induction after 24 hours, then baby’s heart beat dropping so I had an epidural …
Professional and amazing staff, midwives and doctors who helped us deliver our baby. …
I really don’t know how to express this without cursing. My wife had an midwife appointment at her 40 week and turned out to have dangerous high blood pressure. It was around 4:00pm we were told to wait for the doctor to admit us to birth …
I had horrible experience at Queen Charlotte hospital Lewis Ward. The night staff was rude and apathetic. They showed no care or empathy to me while I was screaming in pain during my labour and despite asking multiple times, they REFUSED to …
I had my baby at queen’s charllote on the 03.02.2023 and I can’t fault the hospital on anything. All staff were brilliant from the moment that we walked in until when we were discharged. …
Had my dermoid cyst surgery last week and I had a fantastic experience. Surgeons, doctors and nurses were caring, patient and knowledgeable. Facilities were spotless and food was delicious. Couldn’t have been in better hands🙏🏽 …

Was here today for our 12 week scan. Staff at reception were lovley, and the sonographers were absolutely wonderful. Our baby was in a very awkward position and just wouldn’t move. They asked us to come back in 30 mins and finally we got the messurents and a picture 🙂. Thank you so much for your patience …
I was sent to the Queen Charlotte hospital from my local maternity unit due to multiple problems with the pregnancy at 27 weeks. I had amazing care during my 5 weeks stay on the Lewis suite. Thankfully all was fine and baby was finally well enough to be transferred back to my local hospital to be delivered via C Section the next day.
I’ve had a great experience at this hospital both throughout my pregnancy and giving birth! Always felt looked after, listened and cared for! Can’t be more grateful to the entire team, all the midwives and specialists! Thank you, thank you, thank you! Wish you all the best!
I wouldn’t normally review a hospital, but after having read some reviews before having my planned c section at QCH, felt like it was good to share my positive experience. I had a planned c-section, and despite having to wait a wee while …
Parking Mafia in operation. All the meters close to hospital are cash and Card only, no option to pay with mobile phone apps like Ringgo. …
I had my 12 week ultrasound today and I must say I am not impressed . Unfriendly reception staff to begin with , the lady who did our ultrasound seemed like she had somewhere else to be and our scan felt totally rushed . I made it clear …
All the negative reviews i can confirm that they’re true. Absolutely worst midwife/midwifes. Nobody to consult, no one answes the phone when there’s an enquiry or emergency and careless attitude towards you
Had an awful experience in the ultrasound department. Do not choose this hospital for your ultrasounds if you’re trying to get a decent 20 week scan picture. Didn’t even make an effort & I made her aware it’s my pregnancy announcement …
I had amazing experience giving birth to my daughter at the birth centre. It’s so good that I can’t believe it’s NHS! Everyone at the birth centre is so knowledgeable and caring. It’s just perfect! Thank you! X
Was ok. I had my second baby girl here . My first birth was much better experience. …
If I had the option of no giving a star I would. I have read comments people have written and can confirm they are true. This is the worst hospital to give birth in. The service is terrible the night staff on Lewis ward are rude, horrible …
I had an excellent experience in this hospital, from the beginning of my pregnancy until the birth of my child in January in the labour ward. The midwives are so sweet and helpful and the doctors were fantastic and caring. I have never …
Carelessness. The nurse saying 5 mins wait till the room gets cleaned and it turns out an hour and counting. Leaving pregnant women reeling in pain in the corridor with waiting men. Scandalous.
The NHS system does not allow negative reviews to not lower their reting, I write here the truth of my second birth
The worst experience of my life at BC. …
One of the few times when you can still say the NHS is brilliant. Fantastic staff and good facilities from prenatal to post.
I am so happy that I choose this hospital. The best maternity hospital. I had my baby daughter delivered there. Everyone that works there is amazing and loves their job. Since day one till my baby was born I received an amazing service. I …
Our daughter was born on 13-06-2022. We were admitted into the labour ward on 11-06-2022. On the first night, the Maternity team was a bit short of staff but did an incredible job, it was crazy to see how busy it was yet how professional …

However my recent experience took 2 months for a single doctors appointment was …
I went into triage with abdominal pain at 26 weeks pregnant. I was not seen or checked properly compared to the other females around me (full term expectant mothers). I was not monitored long enough, baby’s heartbeat was only checked for 60 …
I am very grateful and happy to say that my daughter was born in this hospital and I had the best possible care.
All the professionals who attended me were attentive and responsible.
Much more than five stars!
Was told birthing suite was closed and yet when in triage on a Sunday night overheard the midwife asking them to stop sending her patients as she was the only 1 on duty. Was also left in triage waiting for an examination for 5 hours whilst …
My experience was very good in this hospital, always from the beginning until the birth of my child well treated. I had a Cesarean and I can say that this aspect was much better than my first one in my country. My son was born and after a …

I do not appreciate the mistreatment my friend had to go through after giving birth. The midwives were not lovely to the new mother.
5 stars for Carlota the midwife that helped me deliver my baby, cannot thank her enough. Two stars for how my night went in the postnatal ward – I do not want to scare pregnant lady, but I do want to share my experience so that this never …

Incredible hospital with the best maternity wards. The midwives and nurses are excellent and the post-natal care has been as good as you can imagine. If you’re planning on having a baby, pick Queen Charlottes and you won’t be disappointed. Shout out to Jennifer, Dulcie, Rachna, Raynette, Sam, Chris, Shazia and Priscilla!
It was 7 pm and I was spotting and suddenly I have heavy bleeding so I immediately when into A&E. I had realised then I had lost my baby when I had more heavy bleeding and then when the doctor came he didn’t care for me or my baby and just …
I have had two children at Queen Charlotte’s, my second one last week, and I would unhesitatingly recommend it. The staff are unfailingly kind, compassionate and professional. My first pregnancy was very complicated and risky. It was …
5 years on I sill have nightmares of this place. God…. I am glad for anyone who had excellent experience but in my honest opinion it is due purely to luck and not professionalism of the staff. Postnatal was actually good, but I paid to stay because I’ve lost a lot of blood and was way to weak and disoriented to go home.
Went for my gestational diabetes test today and have to say the organisation is very poor at this hospital. I had an appointment to come in for 9:30 which I did to only the realise it’s not by appointment but a first come first served basis …

Had a great experience at QCCH when my homebirth didn’t go as planned and had to transfer in. The staff were helpful, supportive and respected my birth choices, and we had a healthy baby boy. Also there was consistent care provided by each shift of midwives and nurses in the maternity ward. Would definitely return.

I gave birth 2 weeks ago in the labor world, a horrible experience !! They left me alone in a room , in labour with no support. The midwife was rude and without humanity, she did not believe that my baby was ready to be born and left me …
We had been assigned Ingrid as our Mid-wife before opting for the Birth-Centre.
Ingrid and all the staff at QCCH were extremely caring and made sure to guide us well and patiently answer all our queries. Highly recommend them.

My wife lost her baby due to neglect . After all of this, they contact the Social Care Organization. I accused my daughter of not putting her seat belt in the parm. It is very bad to be treated like this .
Outstanding; caring professionals. I have received the best care I could imagine on arrival of our son. The midwives in the centre were excellent and delivered our baby safely although the birth was not an easy one. Post natal care in the …
I saw midwife Ingrid Braham today for an antenatal appointment. She made the experience great- so warm, shared the experience (rather than being just another medical professional) with enthusiasm and explained my results clearly and concisely. This is baby 3- all my experiences at this hospital have been very good.
Obstetric and fetal medicine centre have an hour long wait at least, regardless of time of appointment. Find it unacceptable to have to go through this every time I have an appointment, especially while pregnant. Once they even messed up my …

On 27th Jan 2020, I had my beautiful baby girl at QCCH birth centre and out of 10, I would rate my experience at 10. Liliana and Maya were amazing but all in all, the service at the birth centre is just exceptional. All the midwives I met …

Me& my wife are Very happy.
Recently my wife had a miscarriage unfortunately but she saw Midwife Ameena very …
The staff at the antenatal are extremely rude, they don’t even say hello, it’s appalling to see the way they treat pregnant woman. The toilettes are filthy (every single time), zero hygiene but they ask you to do a Covid test before each appointment. Not big in logic.
Terrible hospital. My wife gave birth to our daughter here in 2018 but the shocking standards almost overshadowed an amazing experience. The staff failed to give the agreed pain killers when requested causing my wife’s heart rate to rise …
We had our 2 children with QCCH. Both times I self-referred myself and had all my pre-natal appointments with the midwives. First birth was at the birth center and we had the whole room to ourselves. Afterwards, we were moved to a clean …
Even though the maternity services where good enough the birth experience was the worst it can be. …

Dont choose this place to give birth, even if you hear good things or have an scheduled c-section. I was at high risk and they left me in agony in a ward full of rude and unprofessional midwives, screaming for help, in labour when I had a …
I gave birth to my first baby on the labour ward here in 2016, and a few days ago to my second in the birth centre. I received excellent care both times, but felt particularly lucky to have experienced the care of the birth centre team. We couldn’t be more grateful to them.
Cannot fault the team of midwifes on the birth centre I had my 2nd baby here a few days and would definitely recommend having a baby at the birth centre. The antenatal midwifes are lovely also only downside was the scans I had the ladies …

Wow you might aswell be in a 3rd world country! the waiting times for your appointments at this hospital for antenatal care is dreadful. Be expected to wait well over an hour that’s on time for your appointment aswell. Other appointments …
I wish I could give this review a 0 star.

The appointment system in the gestional diabetes ward is a bit of a mess. You …
I visited this hospital on the 11th July 2019. Comparing an animal farm in Switzerland, is more cleaner than this Hospital. I would have hardly vomited in the visitors toilet in the maternity section. My aunt came to visit her new born …
