We visited the primary care unit on Friday night as my son had a suspected broken finger. We had an appointment time and were seen, had an x ray, follow up consultation and follow up clinic booked for 2 days later, all done in half an hour! The staff were excellent and the unit is really clean and well run.

It’s now standard to wait 2 hours for a simple blood test. Why not just have 50% booked appointments and 50% drop in to stop alll this wasted time. People do have other things to do with their time!

Colonoscopy procedure here was excellent. Wonderful care throughout. Had gas and and air and not a sedative and the explanation of the process and information about how to breathe and use the gas and air meant I was relaxed throughout. Wonderful staff all round and they made great tea afterwards too. Thank you Queen Mary’s.

The receptionist is very rude and unhelpful, she didn’t even bother to listen to what i had to say and just hung up the phone on me twice now. She needs to get fired, you can’t be working in a hospital with attitude issues. I feel sorry for all the patients calling up and being dealt with by her.

The walk in covid vaccination center is closed for walk in today (appointments only) – although it says online that it’s open. Staff say they won’t update the website even if they close the walk in the future either, so just be prepared you might be turned away upon arrival. Very frustrating and staff did not seem to realise this.
