FAO C.Bower (Matron ED) : Nurse A.Cox (Zone F) was absolutely phenomenal when my partner and I had to go to A&E at Royal Berkshire Hospital on Monday (29.05.23) just gone. Not just with us, but managing the entire zone. Her management …
When the fantastic paramedics bought my mum here following suspected heart attack. The a&e and then ward staff were brilliant. Really looked after her. Mortimer ward staff were simply great. My mum has been discharged and is recovering at home. The 5 days she stayed at RBH she was really taken care of. Thank you so much.
I attended Minor Injuries yesterday with a suspected broken wrist. I was treated swiftly, competently and very kindly. I was home, in a plaster and sling in well under 2 hours. God bless our amazing NHS.
I do like the old part royal Berkshire hospital because I like the old side I’m not keen on the modern bit.
The care I received at the minor injuries dept was brilliant. I was assessed quickly and received treatment promptly in difficult circumstances (there was a power cut). The staff were amazing. Thank you so much for the care I received.
Appalling service, provided to my wife who was taken into A&E after being detected as suffering from high levels of infection by the paramedics who arrived after we called 999. After being made to wait for more than 5 hours, she was asked …
during my prolonged stay at the hospital I have encountered many of the staff members, many of which were working 12 hour shifts which must take a lot out on a person. While getting treated I found that there was a few nurses and doctors …
The postpartum care is shocking. I’ve never felt so unhappy and disappointment in the care I received after birth. The midwives in the unit were terribly slow to respond to my calls, some were very unhelpful and the staff always avoided eye …

Went into the minor injuries for a ear problem on a Friday afternoon and my turn came up very quick and I was done in no time. Lovely staff. The receptionist Paul is so kind and funny. All in all great service.
In the new ct scan suite today, waited for hours, staff did not explain about delays and two (one Caucasian with light brown blonde hair long in scrubs blue and one Thai/oriental reception staff) staff were rude behaving like me asking …
I understand staff are stretched and underpaid. But I feel they are on a majority quite rude. However there are the odd staff members who generally care and treat you like a person.
I was blessed with not having to use a hospital services , my wife too.

It can be a long walk from the entrance to your clinic, the front desk offers transport to those with walking difficulties. Just stop by and ask for transport they’re very happy to help.

Incredibly pleased with my treatment. I attended minor injuries and was quickly triaged to be diagnosed with a broken ankle. It took a little time, but they got me into an overnight bed and managed to get me scheduled for a surgical repair …
6 yr old daughter has an infection in her ankle. Arrived at A&E at 6pm, she wasn’t admitted until 10.5 hours later. 10.5 hours sitting in waiting room !! Completing tests one after the other rather than in tandem to save time. No sense of …

Well the NHS is always stretched but they find a way to cope. Big waiting area, quick assessment. Took about 5.5 hours to have xray, blood test, examination, gave medication and what after care to take. There was also four patients with …
Doctors and surgeons are excellent. Admin staff very helpful. The only let down is some nurses seem to think they know it all and give you bad advice or unprofessional opinions. One nurse also didn’t listen properly, as I had repeat almost everything I said three or four times.
Referred to the Breast clinic by my Dr and given an appt with two weeks. Arrived at the Breast clinic and seen within minutes of arriving by the loveliest nurses who really put me at ease. I was then sent for a mammogram and again was …

Very poor at A.&E. Shortage of chairs and beds. Our son had to spend 20 hours sitting on a chair, when it became available. Long time for triage. Poor facilities. Needs money to be spent on staff and equipment. RIP NHS!
Had to wait a while after appointment time but staff were friendly and helpful
Terrible A&E service. Pre the covid restrictions being dropped they failed to follow their own notice on the reception door of asking patients for covid test results. No covid and non covid separated areas for waiting. Clinically vulnerable …

Always long waiting times even for parking. Most of the staff in the eye block are unwelcoming and seem stressed although it isn’t that busy by the number of patients waiting? More training should be given.
Absolutely great, appointments are usually on time everyone who works there are kind and very caring. No complaints from me.They all work very hard with a smile.

Taken in by ambulance with severe dehydration and low BP due to continuing vomiting and diarrhoea.
Absolutely dreadful care.
A sceptic, but was blown away by the treatment I received end to end with this Trust. In my humble opinion I would say that this Hospital is how one should be run. I cannot think of one area that they can improve (apart from discharge …

Also even if I prayed for them to change my sheet ,they just left me there …
Absolutely horrible conditions and extremely understaffed. Waiting times for acute treatment are horrendous and there is a lack of specialists of any kind. NHS is a disgrace and pretty much everywhere in Europe the healthcare is on a completely different level.
I was super impressed with the volunteer lady who helped me twice today.
I also got turned around trying to find my destination (x-ray) and a lovely staff member walked me back in the right direction, I couldn’t thank him …

I have finally had my operation after 2 and a half years waiting since Covid Pandemic,it went much better than I could of hoped especially waiting so long. All the care of the nurses had a great experience but aftercare needs improvement!
From the paramedics to the hospital staff, the care my husband received was wonderful. We were at the A&E Department and I could see how busy everyone were. Despite the pressure and the stress the nurses, doctors and the receptionists were kind and attentive. We are lucky to have the NHS to look after us.
The main argument with this Hospital is the parking, it’s really ridiculous I have missed two appointments because of no parking in the main car park nor up the road, all full. The only way you will get a space is if you arrive at the …
