Write a ReviewIt’s a decent and well kept M&S. Over two floors, you have a food hall, clothing for men, women, kids, babies, home decoration and even a little bank where you can buy and sell foreign currencies. …
Love this place, regular visits here. All produce of the highest quality. Love the Barista Oat milk, have tried dozens, and this is by far the best! Other favorites are the onion rings! The Kenyan tea bags are the best too, have not used any other for years.
Me, my wife and kids go to the cafe every Sunday and this Sunday wasn’t like usual. Our food was very late and I wasnt really impressed. I then called the manager, Fiona from the cafe over and complained. She was extremely helpful and sorry …
Sears retail park Solihull 2 hours ago where the queues were ridiculous! Only one person on the bank of 6 tills and trolley shoppers ( including myself) in a queue almost the length of the store and nobody to help. The guy on the till kept …
Took my children here to choose some new clothes. Lovely range and they had fun coordinating outfits. The 3 for 2 range was also great.
I visited M&S Sears retail Park Friday 28th April 2023 at 17.40 hours. The cardigan I wanted didn’t have the size on rail and I asked at pay counter if there was any in stock. The sales assistant checked on computer and there was 3 in stock …
Total utter sham.
Waiting excessively long for your order to come to the table, when it does drinks are like warm, and as for the food, l requested total refund. …
Really disappointed on this visit to the m and s cafe today. I took my 3 year old for lunch. Ordered pancakes and juice for him with eggs on toast and coffee for me. The lady advised knives and forks are now served with the meal when I …
Will not be able to shop at my local store again as parking has been reduced to 2 hours so little time to try stuff on and meet for a coffee or lunch. It was bad before when parking was 3 hours but impossible now. There are so many shops at …
Excellent Store BUT electronically controlled cafe leaves a lot to be desired. A 30 minute wait for 2 coffees and a scone was not acceptable, particularly when others who arrived after got served well before our table. So much for electronics.
Super sized store newly built in a large two-part retail park a couple of miles away from solihull Town Bentley within easy reach of the M42. This store has a large food hall and 3 floors of fashion and homeware. Modern, bright, and …
After waiting for 50 minutes, we were finally given our drinks. Our food was still 30 mins away so we left hungry! Can’t believe we weren’t warned at the start and that orders were still being taken. The queue for refunds was as long as for those ordering. Second time that this has happened to us here…we will not be returning!
The first time we came here the food was lovely. Amazing food, crispy melty cheesy toasties, lovely chips. We stayed for ages. We have only ever come on weekends, so understandably the place is busy. The second two times we have come …
This lovely new store is let down by the service in the café. On two separate occasions in the last two weeks I have had to wait 20 minutes just for a cup of tea, the restaurant wasn’t that busy at the time. Staff are pleasant but their service is very slow, needs review. Not sure the self service buzzer system is very efficient.
Went in this morning (Christmas Eve) to pick up a pre-ordered turkey. Much credit from me to M&S for the excellent organisation and speed of pick-up and payment and also the very friendly and professional staff. Thanks M&S
My fiance and I were struggling to find christmas items so asked a worker named Chris and he told us they wouldn’t be in till the 18th. The following week he remembered our faces and even what we were looking for! Chris took us straight to the items and we both thought what amazing customer service from m and s sears.
Visited Tuesday 2nd Dec as we sat down after ordering our meals, other visitors said they had eaten but still waiting for their tea’s.
We had our food & after 45 mins managed to speak to manager & asked why everyone’s waiting for teas.
Disgusted with the cafe. Visited today 24 October to find the only way to order and pay is to use a machine and pay by card. At 73 I am quite savvy enough to do this but the machine was not equipped to allow me to use my Budget card which …
Really enjoyed my breakfast in the cafe upstairs. The ordering system using the screens is efficient and the service was quick. Love the modern industrial style decor.
Clean, bright, spacious and a great range of clothing for everyone. The cafe served up some very tasty cake and coffee. The food court is also vast with a huge range of food at great prices. Very friendly staff also.
Giving this rating as you have introduced sales people to effectively follow customers round harrowing them to take out a credit card, watched the Asian man literally preying on so many elderly people who clearly didn’t want to talk to him …
Good customer service, due to delay in delivering our order, offered free coffee to us to make up for their mistake, appreciate their lovely gesture!
Called into Solihull to charge the EV so I took advantage of using the fast charger at Marks and Spencer. …
I thoroughly recommend the cafe. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly. Always a smiling face and quickly help anyone who has difficulty in using the order screens. Great atmosphere and good food.
A lovely place to shop…I wish they more clothes on the children section. I was unable to find exactly what i aws looking for my 5 years old. The cafe was stunning with friendly staffs who made us very special. My girls were treated …
Sarah the Manager and the lovely team at Shirley M&S were great yesterday when i came in about a lost item. They were so helpful and spent time looking into my query which i am grateful for. Excellent customer service and thank you again, you made a 3 year old very happy!
The Food store is superb The staff are friendly and professional
Clothing department is average Could have better variety. A little boring with average choices M& S buyers needs to be on the ball more with market …
My friend and I recently had lunch at the Cafe. Although our experience was not altogether good, with cold coffee and no sign of our food. However a wonderful member of staff, Carmel, sorted everything out for us. Not only did she go above and beyond, she was so pleasant and lovely while going about her work. A credit to the Cafe.
Having ordered 2 meals on a machine and not being given a receipt. The meal did not arrive. We spoke to one of the staff, Carmel, who sorted our problem. She made us feel comfortable and was very professional.
Big shop 🏬 good 👍 food 🍱 hall, cafe 🍽️ and toilets 🚻 lift 🛗 available …
Great selection and the store was well organized. Staff were also very helpful.
I love this Marks and Spencer, certainly better than the one in Birmingham. Went to the cafe and I loved it, quite large but would imagine its gets busy at peak periods. People complain about using the screen to order or your phone but I …
Large super store incl food as well as usual multi generation clothing and household goods. Help staff. Usual drop into their cafe but this one is so complicated to order unless you are tec savvy. A lovely assistant came to our rescue but the experience spoilt the shopping trip. Easy parking. Road signage, not M&S FAULT, was not good.
Great Marks and Spencers, food Hall is superb. Great choice of clothing and homeward. Cafe is great, lovely food and easy to order. Staff in cafe are very helpful. Parking is fine, it’s a busy shopping area so you need to park and walk a little if you can’t find a space outside the shop you want.
What a disappointing experience!
Parking is limited due to competition from the surrounding popular stores. It is …
Superb experience. Nice to see customer service is still important to some retailers. Debbie in menswear spent time assisting us going above and beyond and Becky and Vicki in the cafe made our lunch very enjoyable especially for our 3 …
Went to the cafe at Sears retail park and ordered 2 coffee’s and 2 bacon buns. First of all most of the tables were dirty and hadn’t been cleared when I arrived and it was the same when I left. It took 10 minutes to receive the coffees, …
I really liked M&S. I have been shopping in M&S for a long long time and I was excited when the new M&S opened at Sears retail Park in Solihull. …
Always a pleasure to shop here. They have a big variety of quality products, it is very well stocked and organised. The staff are certainty doing a fab job!
Debbie was very helpful and gave excellent customer service on my visit 11th Feb 23.
It’s nice but confusing to shop, more like a big supermarket. Kids on check out , no hi how are you, the mature ladies used to be friendly. Seems less selection on food for the vast size. Should of kept the small one too in Solihull, …
I was very flustered with limited time, a gift return, gifts to buy and toddler who was determined to run around or make lots of noise if restrained.
The man that served me upstairs was amazing, really calm and understanding. 10/10 *****
Very disappointed in the whole store doesn’t seem to be enough merchandise to choose from the cafeteria useless for older people have to choose from a board… Solihull store was far superior… spent a fortune in there… at least I’m saving money now I can never find what I want in. Sears
At 83 yrs of age I was always told to be polite. One of the reason we shop at M&S is the helpfulness shown by your staff (along with the quality of your goods). But the courtesy showed and help given by Vicky at your cafe at Shirley Solihull …
Had a coffee on the cafe today – horrendous service! Crowded, with tables and chairs very close together. Dirty tables. All orders to be done by yourself via touchscreen when then you have to wait for a server to serve your food/drink – …
Have just stood in a queue a ladies tills for 10mins to return items at 7pm in the evening. There were two assistant on and neither had any urgency about them or an apology for the wait. When it eventually came to my turn in the queue one …
Absolutely awful!!
I returned to the area on a visit having moved house.
I used the Solihull centre store for years. …
Leaving a review here for the cafe. I was served this morning by Victoria, with a lovely smile and welcoming disposition. Whilst I think it was a bit confusing at first with the self ordering system, staff were always on hand to help, and as it’s settled down its now a lovely environment to be in. 5 stars!
Most of these positive reviews are for the Mill lane Store. Visit was disappointing, parking a nightmare. Though the store looked lovely, the clothes were limited and the size of the homeware area very small. Click and collect was fine …
I had shopped here today , before I had popped in Lidl so I had my shopping from there . About pay £27 plus on my D/D card by countless the women had turned of my transaction and said something it’s a security check !! No it’s not this …
I just wanted to say a big thank you to Tracy, Unair and the security team and whoever handed my purse into security at Marks and Spencer’s Shirley. After a sleepless night trying retrace my steps, I knocked on the doors at 6.30am, Tracy …
Popped in for a coffee, ordered 2 coffees and 2 toasted tea cakes, waited 15 minutes for coffees then another 20 minutes for tea cakes, obviously we had already drank coffee by then. …
I would like to commend Marks and Spencers for excellent customer service on Menswear particularly a retail consultant Mohammed .He measured and fitted my son for two suits and a shirt .He was very respectful ,diligent ,had obvious …
The Food is amazing quality however, the staff are rude and the times I have been only one or two staff have been friendly. Experiences like this put you off visiting.. I went today and it was too much for a member of staff to show me …
Cafe is appalling. 20mins wait for a cold coffee. Food all comes at different times. First coffee and scone given to another table who tried to say it wasnt theirs. Go elsewhere not worth the stress!
Disappointed with the store, lovely looking, modern, parking availability shocking, when finally got parked, the store is light but M&S have missed an opportunity with homeware, too small hardly any product selection apart from …
I was served today by a lovely lady called Pat B. Pat was so pleasant, asking me if I had found what I was looking for today. It really does make a difference when you are served by someone who is so helpful and friendly.
Terrible experience!
I had some items to return and when I found the Solihull M&S store closed, I decided to take my first trip to this new store. The car park was very full and …
Not very reliable. The food hall was fine but There was not much in the way of clothing. Also The escalator to the First floor was out of action. A number of People were queuing outside the lift at the back of the store. Only one person at …
I wanted shoes. Barely any shoes. Full of boots.
We ordered coffee and scones in the cafe. M&S, you can’t serve coffee cold, and scones cold and without knife. You left our order on the counter for too long.
Amazing!??
After giving a different M&S cafe in the South the thumbs down, this one near Solihull is the tops for service! Toni and Kimberley were fab and as ever the hot fruit scones unbeatable!
Variety of food and the coffee shop was pleasant enough if they bothered to clear and wipe the tables more quickly. Sadly this is the same as the Solihull store. Sometimes they are more speedy in doing this! Staff pleasant enough and …
This is now a fairly large store, and always seems to be very busy. I couldn’t find what I wanted as there was way too many people in the food hall. Maybe I will try another day but most likely I would go to longbridge. Also since its opened the car park is always rammed.
Went today to look for a purse well after walking around and around finally the 3three they had, then went in search of leggings with stirrups well I gave up after a while. Their quality of clothes has gone down it’s cheap fabrics and …
A nice branch with a café for those who want to stop for a tea/coffee. Helpful staff in the store and quite a variety on offer. Plenty of parking outside, not a great atmosphere in sears itself but you’re only there to shop and out. These …
Lovely new store, thought that Homeware would be larger though. I really think M&S are really overlooking that side of their business! One major issue…till system!! It’s a farce when you’re returning goods. Loads of self serve but 1 desk …
Staff were really helpful and patient today, during a really busy period. Everyone was trying to buy the Valentine’s Day meal offer. Staff patiently answered the same questions, over and over again, making sure that we could all find …
Visited on 24th December at 8am and lots of items had use by date of 24th December. Lots of shelves were empty and I was unable to get the vegetables I wanted. Staff were just starting to stock the shelves even though the store had been open since 6am. Very disappointed.
(Original, prior to May 2021.) Special / food (and flowers) only. Small cafe area. Pretty good range, but perhaps not as good as Mell Square (full M&S dept store) but convenient for flying visits. Edit (30/7/21) now fully opened and …
Shame that in your new cafe you are excluding all your potential customers that don’t own a smartphone or wish to pay by cash (which in case you have forgotten, is still legal tender!) …
I visited here on Saturday 10th July. I bought two items but decided to return one. Whilst it is indeed a lovely store whilst returning my item you have tills that people can pay at whilst getting refunds. There were 3 members of staff …
Went in for bread and milk, ended up buying two beautiful orchids, that I had been searching everywhere for. Then walking around saw lots of reduced items so very pleased with everything I bought. Lovely store, friendly and helpful check outs.
Went to m s today and saw some ladies having a beef about the parking on the shop door step the spaces was painted what looked like an old man with a walking stick but these women was arguing with a man saying its parent and child parking …
Dreadful visit. In menswear, there were minimal stock levels, the drabbest of colours imaginable, no shoes bigger than 10½, one style only of sleazy suits, no staff around, self serve tills … All depressing beyond belief.
Come on M&S. You need some self-respect!
Yet again no forks for boxed lunch food. This happens repeatedly here. If they cant get a steady supply of forks they should stop selling lunch food that requires a fork. Every other supermarket manages it fine, except here, I can only …
A good M&S Store with a good selection of food and what looks like most of the M&S Range. The coffee shop is nice, but a little small and cold but it is in a building full of fridges an the service is a bit slow. But still a good place to visit. Love the food hall.
Shame on you for allowing NEXUS to extort money from your shoppers at Sears Retail Park
I visited the Sears park store today 9/8/21. I needed to return something. The queue was quite long and slow moving. The assistant said there isnt a queue upstairs so suggested me going up there. I went up only to find an even longer one . …
Gigantic in size, has everything you can imagine. Super friendly staff. All in all, definitely the best Marks and Spencer in Great Britain.
The place is just great. Typically M and S. Food fantastic, a bit pricey but it is m and s. The only down side are the snobby and pushy people, if you can ignore them then it’s even better. I have not eaten in the cafe so cant comment, but it is always busy, so that must get a good sign.
