Write a ReviewThe front desk receptionist has an attitude problem. Came here for a medical emergency and got yelled out of the A&E room as only patients are allowed to wait there (photo of the reception waiting area). Really disappointing experience. No …
Providing an excellent service and grateful for it to be free on NHS. However, had issues with one doctor not explaining my condition to me at all m, another claiming I didn’t have the condition (moorfields had confirmed with a scan). The …
Friendly staff, exceptionally service.
First time here I get a good impression
I received a fast treatment ever I seen it in London hospital, in 1.30 hours, …
Long wait at the A&E. Initial nurse was a little rude but the doctor afterwards was extensive and very good.
I have had a handful of trips to the Western Eye hospital, emergency section, and while it can take awhile to be seen by a doctor, the process seems to move relatively quickly and everyone working there has been courteous. …
Great service under tough conditions and the staff were polite and friendly even though they were working under the pressure of a very full a&e. The Irish nurse that helped me put me at ease and was very friendly and calmed me down. I think …
Fantastic care, I was seen to extremely quickly and reassured that my eyes would be alright after an accident involving an electrical explosion. I was given all the important information and medication for aftercare. Couldn’t recommended more for any eye related emergencies.
Wow where do I start, when I walked into this hospital I actually thought I walked into a hospital in a third world country. This was probably the worst hospital I have been to, I have been to hospitals all over the world, Africa, …
This hospital is not a children friendly hospital. My wife had eyes problems few years ago and she went here. The staff look at her very well, gave her prescription to get a medication for her eyes. Not once she was told that she must get …
I respect the doctors here but I am really speechless about the Appointment Center in this hospital… Every single time, they make my appointment a few weeks/ months later than the doctor’s request… And I can only receive the appointment …
The waiting times at a&e are disgraceful. The waiting area is certainly way too small for the amount of patience. And like most NHS hospitals now it is look of the draw who you get to see
Really good…Very simply organised and it works, the attitude of the reception staff was a bit gruff and the lead nurse looks like she take no rubbish (the internal deco needs a paint job as well)..Yet the wait was fine and the treatment …
Had an issue with wearing contact lenses for too long so my GP told me to come here.
Triage was about 20 minute wait and then I got to see a thoroughly professional …
Had great service here from a professional medical team, from reception through to pharmacy everyone was helpful and friendly. Sorted out my eye problem and the medicines are working quickly. The other patients were generally good too but …
It would very nice while sitting in the western eye hospital that they would have a Costa machine so at least you could get a drink.
The A&E area is a little cramped, although additional seats are available on the ground floor. Takes about 1 hr to be seen by a nurse and another 2-3 hour to be seen by a doc. Overall experience could have been better if the water dispenser is working. Staff are helpful.
The welcome station making you wear a face mask and antibiotics made sure everyone is safe. They were very good at greeting everyone in. I was seen very quickly but with care. The doctors and nurses were firm but polite about the treatment. Waited for the pharmacy to open and here was polite treatment.
Had a concern over extremely bloodshot eye over a couple of days. Went to this clinic, filled out a form, handed it over, was seen by extremely professional and friendly staff who reassured me that my ailment would clear in a couple of weeks …
I first visited this establishment 6 years ago and was informed my condition would be sorted fairly easily. However after 5 years of sub standard treatment including injections into the eye an operation and countless numbers of intrusive …
Not sure why the hate in the other reviews. I went there yesterday and they were super quick and efficient. Ok not all of them smile at you like a flight attendant would, but they’re good and straight to the point, which is the most important thing.
Doesn’t deserve even 1 star. They need to sack the whole reception team on shift on 3rd Dec 2022 at 1730-1900.
My dad was taken to this hospital by ambulance. His glaucoma caused severe …
Absolutely ignored patient and nurses in A&E department are so rude
They just wasted time and don’t call any patients ,Every patients takes one hour to be seen …
Wow, what an awesome service, great job NHS! I am so grateful to Western Eye Hospital . I was in a great deal of pain but was triaged and was seen by a doctor his name is Ahmad in under 15 minutes. A hidden foreign body was removed from my eye and the pain is now all gone. Efficient and #AMAZING. Thank you again.
I have No words to describe how well treated I was when I had to go there to check a problem with my eyes. Super friendly people. Thank you all very much for being there for me.
Attended Western Eye Hospital in the evening and was seen by nurse within 20 minutes and by doctor within 2 hours, however we were in and out with the doctor around 3 times. We were informed that a sample would be sent to the lab and we …
Bad service from the medical staff. Not friendly and need upgrading smell a damp. Long waiting time to see your doctor over 2 hours.
Every one was polite and caring. Right from the girl in the welcone desk, guy in the A&E reception, nurse who did initial screening to the doctor – each one of them were like angels to me when i went there with a foreign object in my eye.
I went here for an eye probelm last week. I went their at 9:30am and their was a 5 hour 15 minute wait to see the doctor. At around 1:00pm, whilst I was waiting, a staff member came out and told the people waiting that if your problem isn’t …
I was impressed by the very efficient service at Western Eye Hospital. There is a helpful note in the A&E reception informing patients of estimated waiting time and I was seen much sooner than expected. Diagnosis and treatment were clearly explained by Maria and Zena. thank you
I would just like to say, that since being a patient from May of this year and till now. I must say a big thank you to the team. I have always been treated with respect and honesty. I must also say a special thank you to the professional …

I’ve been asked to go to Western Eye Hospital for treatment by my GP. This is Walk in Eye Clinic,

I just want to say a big big thank-you to the team at Western Eye. A foreign body embedded in my eye around 4:30pm on Sunday. I was welcomed by the hard working staff at 7:00pm and had it removed at 7:45pm. Was also given eye-drops on site. …
Dreadful, send me an appointment, went I get there, which takes me 2plus hours, they tell me I don’t have an appointment. I said I will not leave until I see a doctor. They finally agree, I see a nice Dr who tells me I have a build up of …
Very positive experience – on a bank holiday Monday! Super speedy. Was in and out in an hour with diagnosis and prescription in hand. After 5 weeks of stress – they addressed my issue so well. Thank you so much
After trying Kingston Hospital, I came here, and sent to St Mary’s. Sent back to Western Eye Hospital and assessed outside by someone who was hidding the ID badge (obviously). Unable to drive back home and without seeing a consultant I was sent to Moorfields Hospital. Unacceptable!!!
I’m a physician, on vacation from the US. The A&E was crowded but patients moved through efficiently. The staff were pleasant, helpful, and professional. My eye emergency was treated appropriately and I’m very pleased with the outcome.
One member of staff really stood out, the head nurse Maria Skawski, not only was she incredibly professional, caring and thorough, as a dentist who works everyday with a team of nurses, l found her to be very hard working and compassionate to the walk in patients.
Woefully bad at every stage. Make sure you go to Harley Street. Worth every penny.
The A&E ward suppose to start their work at 8am but the reception at the 2nd floor just chatting and laughing until 8:30 all the patients are waiting to be seen and they just don’t care.
The worst A&E in London. I tried to require the name of member staff, as when I asked him his name he started hiding his badge and asked him 3 times n he keep asking me why I am asking. As he knows he had very bad attitude towards to me and …
It may not be the newest hospital in London but it is definitely the best. Although this place is always super busy but the staff especially the nurses are always so pleasant and helpful! They really care about their patients. My mum has been an outpatient here for many years.
THIS HOSPITAL COMMITTED MALPRACTICE AGAINST ME.

Was asked to come here by 111 before 2030. Arrived at 2000 and was turned at the door despite a desperate eye problem that NHS said is critical to get attended to.
After 2 disappointing visits to Moorfields Eye Hospital where I was only prescribed Virgan gel that had no effect and caused my eye more pain. I knew my eye needed more care and attention as it was seriously infected with inflammation – the …

This not my experience about with the doctor but how they behave and the information about the hospital in website. My first question is if they say in website it operates till at 8:30 PM the same info passed to NHS, why they don’t allow …
This place is unorganised . I sat for 4.30hrs and no one saw me. I then came and sat for 3hrs was not seen. Its a disgrace the worst of all the most vulnerable old people to put up with this incompetent service. I will have to go to my gp …
The hospital, even the private treatment area upstairs seems to be falling apart and in dire need of a refurbishment!! Had to wait 3 hours for a private appointment despite having turned up on time!! Outdated equipment in the private area, …
Prepare to wait at least 6 hours, to be treated without any respect and also to get the wrong diagnosis.
I’m really quite sad that I’m having to write a negative review about this place but it has to be done. I was referred to the A&E department at this hospital after going to the opticians with vision loss in one eye; sever inflammation …

I was alarmed to find, on the NHS website, that my eye symptoms dictated I should go straight to A&E. Due to the pandemic, I contacted 111 first, and was mistakenly sent to a hospital without an eye doctor, but one of their doctors then …

This is a very unorganised hospital. We all know how important our eyesight is and we go to hospitals to entrust them to help us with our eye ailments. A year in to being seeing a consultant by the name of Mukhtar Bizrah, I still do not …

Inspired me to setup my income in a way to minimise the tax I pay and pocket all of it. Disgusting service. £400 a month in contributions to the NHS and this is what we get.

Thank you very much to all the staff. The male receptionist at the A&E was very polite. I was attended to in less than 2hrs and both the triage nurses and doctor who checked my eye were very efficient and reassuring. I was given a leaflet to explain my condition. Thank you very much.
