Today I went for a blood test. I sat in the wrong are and didn’t hear my number being called out. Later I realised, the staff at blood section were extremely understanding and helpful. Very polite and comforting experience from the gentlemen that took my blood and his colleagues in the ward.

All of the staff in SDEC (EAU) are incredible. We had to come on the 1st of feb in the afternoon/evening time and I have never met staff so compassionate and kind. They deserve so much more praise.

Wow the eye clinic is a joke, phone lines never open on time my partners got a referral which between doctors and the hospital has been nearing 3 months! No closer to an appointment so you could imagine how he’s feeling. Answer the phone would be nice since over 79 calls and you answer 1-2 times over the last 3 months???

We had a great experience with the whole of the NHS system yesterday. Starting from our 111 call being picked up in less than a minute, to our first point of contact Ron Wilkinson, and then the rest of the departments we were in contact with. Thank you York Hospital.

I found the hospital hard to find with all the roadworks, traffic lights and so many round abouts. Once there I can’t fault any of the staff they were all fabulous. Discusted that my sister had a major operation this morning and has been sat in recovery since 11:30am because some admin mess up has left her with no bed and no toilet! While the nursing staff have been fab n can’t apologise enough its simply not good enough!!

Attended A&E where I received an unwanted shoulder massage from a male Dr who continued even after I asked him to stop. He slipped his hand under my clothes to do this. After many hours, thirsty, hungry, and assaulted I left without treatment because I didn’t feel safe or cared for. I wouldn’t go back if my life depended on it.

The stroke unit were absolutely brilliant when my dad was in there , they looked after him with care and compassion, they looked after us too, we were able to stay overnight in his last hours, they were very supportive afterwards and were always there with a brew Thankyou to everyone in the stroke unit. Ward 36 were a fantastic team they looked after Mum till the very end. My mum was in hospital nearly 3 weeks before she passed away and everyday the nurses enabled us to see her through a Zoom call. They have fought and cared through this challenging time of Covid. You are all true heroes, we can never thank you enough.

AnE is a shambles. Doctors dismissing you and sending you home when you need urgent treatment. No communication. Vile treatment of patients. Been here 6 times for emergencies and each time I have been failed and let down.
