Had an email on 8th October to say I would receive the probate document in 10 working days. I have emailed 3 times asking if it has been sent or lost in the post but have not received a reply only an automated reply. I tried phoning but no one answers.

Phone number is not manned and says you can’t leave a message. It’s impossible to contact them – Incredibly poor service given families are trying to make arrangements after a loved one has died. Sending a letter and waiting 3 weeks for a response only to find they have another Q for you, and so another 3+ weeks passes, is unacceptable

Considering it’s close to centre of town is relatively easy to get to and nearby short stay parking. However, you won’t get in without an appointment. You can drop letters or documents in with ease though

Basically once you have sent your forms there is no contact, unless they contact you… The message on the telephone answer service just says ‘ this is an extremely busy line, try again later’… I personally do not find that helpful!

How on earth do you get a reply to email’s or get through on the phone? First application goes missing then no reply/acknowledgement of second. My mum died last October!!
Appalling. More than 500 phones calls – no response. Automated emails and no reponse to questions. Probate has been with the office for > 3 months. This is now costing the family money.

No problems with the probate office in Cardiff. Service was quick and friendly and the staff are very helpful and supportive.
