I went the first day of the junior doctors strike for 35%pay rise, which is what they deserve 100%. …
Went in for a triple heart bypass. The staff were really caring and very helpful. They always had time for you and the care was second to non. The Consultants were approachable too, several came and spoke to you on their daily rounds and …
Children’s A&E was super duper difficult to find, we had to ask strangers for directions. We were told to go to a specific place and we declined access as I was told I was too young but the 111 lady said that I was supposed to go there. …
Very poor. Never saw the consultant after an op. Nobody, nurses or doctors, kept us informed about anything over the 5 day stay on the Elective Treatment Centre (ETC) ward. Why they have a bell to ring to get help is beyond me, as the …
Overall the nurses and doctors are kind. But there’s this nurse who absolutely doesn’t have any compassion at all. Infact I’m officially lodging a complaint. That they should consider first the safety of kids visitors in the ward. Rules are meant to be kept. But there should be room for exception. Especially where a child is involved.
My Grandad had triple bypass surgery here and the aftercare was atrocious. My Grandad excessively struggled after the surgery, and was unable to walk for weeks. He knew that there was something not right with his legs, but the nurses did …
After being admitted in elective treatment short stay after 3 operations on my jaw the treatment from the night nurse on the day i was admitted was amazing if i could personally thank her i would. Not being able to speak properly, feeling …
Very long waiting times in A&E and Emergency waiting rooms.
Had my wife sat in her wheelchair for hours whilst suffering from excruciating back pain. …
Unfortunately the A&E is very understaffed which meant I waited 7hrs to see a doctor whilst I was constantly vomiting & had such low blood pressure I was unable to walk. However, I give the MRI a 4 star review because of doctor Alex in …
Recently spent a week here and it was mostly okay. All staff very pleasant, helpful and compassionate, although sometimes disappeared for large parts throughout the day and the beeper wasn’t always effective at finding someone to help me. …
Should be ashamed of the respiratory 18/19 ward and how it’s going currently. As we speak, a family member was placed in this ward and whilst the nurses gather and chatter round the computers we have asked them numerous times over the last …
I would not be alive if it wasn’t for MRI, I had leukaemia aged 20, I was lucky enough to have a perfect bone marrow match with a sibling and I am still here nearly 30 years later, having had 4 cancers in total: leukaemia and golf ball …
Most horrible hospital I’ve ever been to. They made me wait from 2 am to 7am and I had to just leave in the end. I was given no updates and I would rather bleed out and die than go here again
We do things differently here and the Manchester University teaching hospitals are one of these things. Despite all the hardships they face, they give us a great service. Dedicated NHS – thank you.
Had to take my 93 year old mum to the emergency department because she’d had a mini stroke, the service was exceptional, couldn’t fault anything and all the staff were professional and friendly, my mum was ok
The kidney wards really look after me when I have a problems or at home on my machine called Doris she keeps me alive. My home team are the best if I have a problem they are always there for me thank you all so much xxxx.
Absolutely amazing the staff of the Emergency department.
I went there yesterday for a problem with my heart and they all were caring. The doctor that visited me at the end was caring and reassuring. Thanks for existing!
Having to deal with doctors who got their degree abroad now work for the NHS is appalling!.. …
Cancelled my surgery on my face and it was important then claim that they was gonna get me a taxi because I had no way of transport and the taxi didnt turn all they did good was clean my my injury NHS cleaning service
MRI continue to offer outstanding care. They literally saved my life, so I am forever grateful for that and the amazing care for my newborn daughter three years ago.
If I could put 0 I would 11 hours I was in there today with bad stomach pain did a urine test was told I was deffinatley pregnant due to my own circumstances I was scared and broke down in tears as it a lot more of a back story to then be …
I am overwhelmed by the care provided by Manchester Heart Centre,
In 2013 I suffered an heart attack which resulted in me having a triple bypass,, the was amazing, …
Emma in Rheumatology is the best nurse I’ve met. Amazing at her job and extremely caring.
My 12 day stay was shocking. I was in a bay of 4 and witnessed a patient left in wet sheets for 2 hours. Patients waiting 11 and 5 hours for much needed pain relief. The list of neglect and lack of communication was awful. You have no rights over your own body in there. Worst experience I’ve ever had in a hospital.
Horrible place. Waited for hours and hours, no one even called me in for the first assessment. People sleeping on the floor, nurses and doctors just jumping over them. I literally started crying on my way out just because of the horrible …
Care and compassion from these wonderful people throughout
a difficult procedure for me. You can have an extra 5% of my N.I. anyday of the week!
The Doctors and nurses looked after me the 6 days on the cardiac ward the meals could be a bit better.
There are brilliant teams at work in MRI, but unfortunately there is always shortage of staff, and always overloaded with patients, hence getting a bed could take hours, and other planned services might not happen on time due to various …
Hello I am so amazed with your security Ian hughes this man is amazing and helped me out to the full off his ability and I do not have a bad word about this man so thank you so much Ian
Nurses and wards are fine. But if you need a prescription on discharge. The waiting time currently is 4 hours plus.
My auntie was here due to her critical condition. The staff were amazing. The family are very grateful for all the hospitality and professionalism. It’s institutions like this that make me proud of being British.
The support here is great and the staff are friendly. I am very satisfied with the customer service and the environment is always well maintained.
This is the worse hospital that I have been too. The nurses and doctors are very rude, they don’t really care how bad you are.
Very good but one of the nurses made stupid comments and doesn’t understand that children who have special needs, like autism, can get agitated and aren’t comfortable sometimes and need special attention and she should have been …
Had an A&E incident last Saturday, super fast 999 answer and pick up in the ambulance. Paramedics were super, very considerate and calm. Then I was placed in the amber zone of the A&E, and I was there for 5 hours (5 AM- 10 AM), but again …
Been waiting 3 years for ent even after completing to pals the manger still doesn’t care and isn’t rushing to get me an appointment joker
This hospital killed my father, if you go on weekend you are in the hands of rude incompetent and unprofessional nurses because doctor do not show up on weekends you are left to die as my father did.
My father was admitted last week from the start was a catastrophic moment most of the staff no empathy rude and shouldn’t be qualified nurses this week will be taking my father out of this hospital it is horrible if could give – 100 I would.
I was waiting in the a&e for 9 hours to see the doctor and they kept telling me that i am gonna be next but my turn never came so after the 9 hours I just left
I love this hospital it’s quite amazing and very nice and it’s for adults and children!
So after a bad start to what can only be described as one of the worst hospitalisations I’ve ever had I’d just like to put it out there that the staff at the MRI be it the cleaners, nurses, consultants or doctors have been nothing short of …
System is so broken that you will get to see doctor after 4-12 hours of waiting even if you come here with serious health condition.
I was at the vascular surgery dept today to see a lovely doctor and that was all fine. But when I finally found the right dept ( took me bout a day it’s massive hospital). The staff were complete nightmare. The woman said take a seat and …
I went here for an emergency referral on a Saturday night for some symptoms that genuinly scared me, but the symptoms didn’t scare me as much as the urgency in my GP’s voice when she made the referral. Yes, the wait was pretty awful. I was …
Went to MRI Elective Treatment Centre with my wife Helen yesterday 22/10/22 for my Hernia Operation. The Staff were amazing how they managed to cope with all the Emergencies & yet still clear the Waiting room by the end of the day was …
If you are under MRI renal team look up the word “Sensitised” meaning, (they won’t tell you until it’s too late) understand what it means for your future transplants, don’t be afraid to question your Doctor. Every effort should be made to …
Shocking I took my sister there with a severe head injury due too seizures…11 hour wait…NO drink offered….nurses run ragged and understaffed….really feel for them…..AND too top it off security guy came out and blew his nose using his fingers 😑 and didn’t even use hand sanitiser….really.. yakkkkkkk …

This is a review for the walk-in centre at the MRI. Arrived in pain, booked in and given an appointment (was given the option to wait, but chose to book a slot for later in the day). Came back, seen earlier than my slot and given my test …
Shooking staff, no urgency towards anything, very split advice given, wouldn’t give the meals too my dog and he’s dead ……. security is pointless, absolutely shocking hospital… the ACU is probably the only half right part in an entire hospital…. disgrace

doctors and nurses weren’t sympathetic when my friend was screaming in pain because he had broken his knee and fractured his femur. they didn’t have their priorities straight made him get an uber to the hospital and didn’t even help him out when he got there.
Staff were rude and didnt allow my 15 year old son in. And only 2 people allowed. Change you rules
Very big, very busy. Lots of disciplines and departments. A&E is an absolute nightmare though with multi-hour waits for just triage. Rest of hospital is clean with many amenities
Absolutely terrible been sitting waiting for hours the receptionist was nothing but unhelpful didn’t even give me the option to talk to a nurse. Absolutely appalling. Absolutely wasted my time what is more important than blurred vision and …
Endoscopy department, exceptional service and care from admission through to discharge.
Stayed in fo 11 days ward I was on was as clean as you can physically get. Staff were brilliant from housekeeping up to surgeons and consultants. First hospital ward I’ve know to be patient focused and couldn’t do enough for the patients
After having major surgery in 2014 I was told I’d always be monitored so i didn’t fall through the net, well it’s took covid for the net to open. I’ve had appointments I’ve attended that no one allegedly made, been told I’ll get phone calls …

I’ve been here 3wks now and have no complaints whatsoever. Everyone has been respectful. When I came in here I was expecting horrible food which just wasn’t the case. I started with jacket potato but I realised there’s only so many times …
Great hospital with amazing staff who treat you as a family member and not a number, I can’t fault the staff but the awful catering firm are a joke.
Food is basic, tasteless and always incorrect when ordered and drinks service is …
Splendid service from the team at A&E. I was attended to very swiftly and was never left unattended at any point. The staff have been absolutely warm towards me and my doctors were very gentle during my surgical procedure!

I don’t normally write reviews but felt compelled to do so in this case. Normally use private health care with which I’m very happy but have to say the treatment I received here at the MRI was outstanding and I could not fault it. From …
7 hours wait to be handed a box of antibiotics. Cannulated without explanation. Obviously the doctors and nurses have very difficult jobs and everyone is doing their best but there is something really wrong with the way the facility is run if this is the standard.
-10 is more correct ect absolutely shocking last night my husband who is very confused was out alone for 2 1/2hrs outside in a pair of shorts night staff on ward 2 should not be working in the nhs this will be going everywhere now not to mention the attitudes and constant calls being ignored
