Mixed Reviews: Brilliant service with my 9-month-old son, in and out in 10 minutes and he got glued; however I’ve spent hours in the past being neglected over a broken foot in the past. Bonus points as I was born here.

First rate care for my elderly mother who was admitted last night. A&E on a Friday night is somewhere you would rather not be given the choice but I couldn’t believe the standard of care, it was outstanding. They went above and beyond. Truly wonderful doctors and nurses. Thank you!

The a and e department staff are second to none and I was treated like a human being and not just a number. …
It breaks my heart to hear that my dear friend had such incomprehensibly neglectful care during the birth of her son at Haywards Heath Princess Royal. She was induced, left in a room unable to have her husband with her and no midwives …
I had to go there today for a flexible cystoscopy. I wasn’t sure where in the hospital I had to go, so I asked the receptionist in the main building. She directed me to where I needed to be, and I mad my way there. …
So far the worse service I have had . Have been trying for over a month to get hold of the booking line to Tesco my 2 years appointment as we cannot get there due to the distance they decided to try and send us so wanted it closer to home . …

Had to visit A&E earlier this week. Everyone was simply amazing. A true credit to themselves, the NHS, the team, and an inspiration. Despite current challenges the service, help and care was tremendous and exemplary. My sincere and heartfelt thanks to all and everyone. True example to us all.

Lovely friendly staff. Excellent pain management. Only down side was the long wait but nothing unusual in that as it happens.
Neurosugery department is an absolute joke. It’s impossible to actually see anyone. Waited a year for a follow up appointment after spine surgery. Always have to chase appointments. Had an MRI in February, still waiting for the results.
I attended the orthopaedic and trauma clinic on time, 1.30pm. I was asked to confirm my name, address, surgery, age, home phone and mobile. Then I was told that there was a 2 hour delay as the consultant was delayed in the operating …
Day Surgery Unit: My friend arrived the required 5 minutes before the appointment and the receptionist was not answering the bell for 10 minutes (so now my friend was officially late for the appointment), so he had to wait for a member of …
This hospital seems to get a lot of negative attention and I’m sure there is room for improvement (isn’t there everywhere and with all of us?). Having said that, my Father was in there a few weeks ago and the care he was given was terrific. …
Had a good go at cutting my arm off with a chainsaw today. Thank you to every single member of staff who dealt with me. I was only there for a few hours but appreciate everything you did for me, it was a first class, excellent, faultless, friendly, impeccable and professional service.
This hospital treated my now deceased father appallingly. He died in their care and I have no doubt that he would have lived for longer if there had been proper organisation. There was no cohesion between staff, we were not kept up to date …
Nursing staff are excellent and attentive although some of the consultants are a little blunt in their approach. They need to be more sensitive when discussing life changing issues with patients. Generally there is a calm atmosphere on the …

I have had a wisdom tooth removal operation diaried since an initial dentist referral for the best part of 1 and half years. I get various pre-ops etc and finally get a date. …
This great hospital aims to help the community but it has been facing severe shortages of staff. This old building is very inefficient by modern standards, it is time for the Sussex community to have the good hospital with proper staffing levels that it deserves.
My wife was suffering from severe back pain.
111 took details and advised A&E at The Princess Royal at 22.30
Extremely thorough examination + blood test.
Very caring and felt looked after

Had day surgery back in Oct 13 for susp breast cancer. Anaethetist stayed all way through until i left late pm. Fed me my requested coffee and 2 lots of sandwiches. Excellent care from new unit. Also the communication between hosp and Brighton breast care centre was brilliant a pleasure at a time of great worry.
Awful staff. How dr chowdhury and his anaesthetic team have employment is beyond amazement. We have pre op checks to determine certain factors. To see if there is a family history of anything serious, they did not think to do this at any …
A great hospital and filled with friendly people and lovely food! I sometimes go there when epileptic. I had a Grand Mand and was confused I asked my family to take me! In fact, my family find it difficult to look after me when I tell the …
Awful service, very dirty and no one wants to take any responsibility. Sadly this is what the vast majority of NHS hospitals are like these days I’ve literally been to better hospitals in 3rd world countries. It’s not the doctors and nurses it’s the NHS itself, it’s awful and crumbling this hospital really highlights that.
NHS staff very patient with excellent bedside manner. talked me through everything they were going to do and were very thorough.
The most horrible experience I’ve ever had in a hospital .
After calling 111 backwards and forward 7 hours on they’ve got me an appointment at The Princess Royal hospital in Haywards Heath , I live in Horsham ( west …
Following an astonishing series of unsatisfactory (sometimes disastrous and extremely painful) experiences, a relative took things into her own hands and, instead of calling an ambulance, personally delivered me to A&E here at Haywards …

Having spent a night in brighton sussex county short stay ward which was like a third world war zone hell hole, I am pleased to report Haywards heath Princess royal is worlds apart with first rate care and vastly more comfortable and peaceful in comparrison. If going to be horribly unwell I recomend doing so at Princess Royal.
I presented here with a broken arm so I went through A&E, their day surgery department and physio and all the way the level of care was fantastic and the staff were brilliant. It’s a scary thing to happen and it made a lot of difference the kindness of the staff.
If I could give it one star I really would. While I am sure there are some great hard working staff here in my experience after my mums stroke, This place should be put into special measures. Encountered rude staff. Uncaring consultants. A …
We were delivering in this hospital and I would like to say as a partner, father, to all becoming mothers. Do your best and trust yourself. You will deliver and you are the person what feel what is going on. So don’t be scared to ask even …
The A&E department can be a veritable reptile house, a snake pit possesses by monstrous small town mentality.small town big hell as the Mexicans say. How true! I entered that place with a condition that proved to be pancreatitis. I couldn’t …
Very good that hospitals make people aware of infections by urging us to use the dispensers on display but does it not rather defeat the object of the exercise when one has to press down on the dispenser to get the liquid out? Think about …
Strange thing to say but I really like this hospital. Unlike other hospitals it is never overly busy and the waits are not to long. The staff here as in most NHS hospitals are friendly and helpful.
Best gynaecology department in the South, compassionate, caring, gentle ….. 3 times ive had to visit in the last 3 years, staff are brilliant. Thank you
Appalling experience during my wife’s labour. Left completely unattended for 6hours in excruciating pain due complications from complex medical history that wasn’t considered by any staff. Eventually paracetamol offered (great for a mild …
