Write a ReviewQE2 hospital was quite big and services was quite good, my son was born in this hospital. …
I’ve been here to minor injuries twice, once during pandemic and haven’t waited too long. It obviously depends on the day and the injury but wheelchairs were available and staff have always been friendly. Children have a separate waiting …
Great experience as a first timer. I barely waited to be helped when I checked in. The staff and the doctor were all very friendly and helpful. I especially loved how the doctor really took her time to explain what the issue was with me as …
Great experience in urgent care today. Especially when referred upstairs to Ambulatory Care. Communication between nurses & doctors was great and I felt like I wasn’t hanging around unnecessarily. Staff were very pleasant and great with my 2 year old who I had with me. Many thanks
Urgent care have been amazing, fast, polite service. Seen within the hour, called by the community hospital team with a scan appointment for the very next day. So impressed with the treatment I received
Rude reception staff seem to take pleasure in informing you of a 6 hour wait. Triage was conducted by a ‘professional’ who qualified everything she said with variations on ‘but don’t take my word as it might come back on me’ which obviously …
I went there with my 2,5 daughter’s urgent situation and l am 8,5 months pregnant. I waited there 4 hours! I especially said that it is really hard to stand with my pain and my toddler. At the end, the doctor see my daughter for 3 minutes and look her maybe 1 just 1minute! And said that it can be virus, l should go to the gp!
Excellent Team on duty tonight. All the team from the Receptionist, the Nurse, Tim , Jack, Dylan and the radiographer were professional, efficient and went above the call of duty . Well done . We were served the best of care and the …
Usual wait time is between 2-3 hours for out patients. Surprisingly it was just 25 mins for me today.
Easy to get to. Signage inside the hospital can be confusing. Parking is not free anymore. Looks clean and tidy. As all hospitals, waiting times can be long.
I fell over and found this lovely urgent care centre in welwyn green. I was seen by a lovely gentlemen called Brian, his mannerisms was amazing. I was so bowled over by this hospitals staff for the start to finish, I thought I had to write …
I had a phone call from school to go pick up my daughter as she was screaming because of pain in her lower abdomen. Went to urgent care at QE2 because, of course, is a rare and precious thing to see my GP at Spring house. …
Do not use their Physiotherapy & Muscoskeletal services!
I sustained ankle ligament tears in both feet around 1½ years ago and both …
Omg I just left , the rudest doctor I ever met! I never met anyone so rude working in NHS? Wow ….ill definitely make a complain!
Rude nurse, incorrect information given which only delays treatment. Lied about my appointment at the fracture clinic, confirmed by calling the switchboard !
I had a very positive experience.
Acupuncture treatment on cervical spine.
6 week course …
The nurse on the urgent care desk identified what it could be and arranged for me to see a doctor within an hour. The doctor in ambulatory care was amazing assessed me and arranged a scan which was carried out within 20 mins. The condition …
Parking lot not too big but there were available spots, 15 minutes free for drop off, then 0-2h £3.4. Clear signs to every department, very clean, staff very friendly. Some doctors work there as private, in that case your appoinment will not reflect at reception, so clarify that upon booking.
Took our 3 year old daughter to urgent care due to our surgery not having any appointments available. She was complaining of a sore ear and screaming in pain. The doctor (after a long wait) looked in her ear and told us she was fine and was …
The old QEII was great and really worked well.
Now they have knocked it down and replaced it with this.
My sister went on to the protests against closure. …
Minor ailment on a weekend.
Was assessed, seem by a Doctor within 10 minutes, treated, given advice and out the door within 30 minutes. …
So SLOW!
Update: after 3 hours waiting, having to deal with a group of non covid …
Reception staff were good, triaged
including an ECG by a nurse and seen by the doctor all within an hour. Excellent
Went for a uti, I get them quite a lot so known the feelings, only to be told how do I know that my husband of two years partner of nearly 7 hadn’t given me a STI. Absolute disgrace
Great place, came here for a check up on a very painful leg, out in 5 minutes with all the information I needed. On the way back, I came across a nice little café, which is the photo shown in this review. Everything is 10/10, would recommend to anyone and everyone!
First and last time I’ll consider this hospital for anything. Nurse was rude to patient I was with and just watched them struggle rather then help whilst I wasn’t with them. Only positive was parking is free on Saturday, receptionist was friendly and the appointment was quick.
I had amazing experience at the hospital, the hospital stuff was very kind and caring.
I travelled all the way from Medway, Chatham for my appointments and every time …
I had a nasty fall on my forehead on 26th June. We came here and were seen fairly quickly. The staff were all very helpful and the 2 nurses who dealt with cleaning my wound and putting 5 very neat stitches were a credit to the NHS. 4 weeks …
Took my son to be seen on the advice of the 111 service and upon arrival was dealt qith by the snotty judgmental receptionist and the place looked like it hadn’t been clean for a while and by the time we were seen and prescribed something …
Nurse at reception very condescending and rude. Just belittled us for not giving anything for the pain to our 5 year old. When tried to explain she just dismissed is and told us to wait for 4 hours for an appointment…. Utterly …
Did some blood tests the past month and my GP hasn’t received the results yet. Its been a month. I have called the hospital where someone answered the phone after calling 3 times, said “hi” and while I was explaining what I needed the …
Amazing! Our 1 year old hurt her arm early in the morning… We took a chance and avoided Lister Hospital and went to QE2.
We joined a queue in ‘Urgent Care’ and within 1 hour we saw a nurse, were sent …
My husband is disabled and can hardly walk at all. I was pleasantly surprised to find a Meet & Greet area where a gentleman acquired a wheelchair, took it out to the carpark to collect my husband, and then took us up to the Eye Clinic. …
I visited the minor injuries unit to have my foot checked. I landed awkwardly on it and it was hurting me whilst walking. I had a very good experience. It didn’t take long to be seen and within an hour I had finished. They took an x-ray. …
Seen quickly but useless. This is why the NHS is mocked. 8 weeks is our base line for anything to be considered an issue. Can’t walk? It’s a soft tissue issue. You sprained it. Same diagnosis and refusal of an x-ray when I was kid led to a …
Don’t go to his hospital. Waste of my bloody time. Went there on Saturday since my tonsils were swollen and I was struggling to swallow as well as breathe. …
Absolute joke .. urgent care centre department waiting over 3 hours with 111 arranged appointment never ending queue short staffed this place makes you more sick before you come in
Got treated with utter contempt. Was told to go in by 111 after being in agony for hours on Easter Sunday to be turned away with no appointments left and complete lack of care and empathy. Took the receptionist 7 attempts to get my surname …
Visited with a rolled ankle. Swollen quite bad but not offered any walking assistance or a wheelchair. Made to walk (limp) all the way to X-ray and back. Doctor was friendly and helpful but never offered pain killers or crutches or …
I’ve been numerously messed around so much by this hospital! contacted to make a complaint PALs they have never got back to me? I then made a SAR request as I knew something was wrong! The surgeons dept who is meant to do a minor op inside …
Had to take my daughter for a bandage (after an operation) change as our GP could not see us. The staff were so helpful, understanding and kind. We were seen straight away due to the nature of the wound. What a fantastic unit. Well done QE11
Easy parking. Prompt excellent service from the Hearing Clinic audiologist.
I cannot thank the staff at QEII enough on Saturday. Having suffered burns to my face from a bonfire accident I rushed to the hospital. The staff were excellent. I do not know all their names but cannot thank them enough. The nurses who I …
I came in to urgent care with my Partner who was writhing in pain and throwing up, waited hours (which we expected) just to leave with a prescription for indigestion tablets. I know the entire NHS is under pressure but It doesn’t take a …
Very good experience at the walk in centre. I was seen by a practitioner whos name I think is Brian. A very nice man that put me at ease. Only minor negative was at Reception 1 whereby you have to shout out your medical issue DOB etc for all in the waiting room to hear!
Needed urgent antibiotics over the weekend. Seen and out within 90 minutes. So busy- hats off to the staff working so hard. Too many people moaning about the wait. I just want to say thank you. Felt safe and looked after
I have been going to the QE2 urgent care department for post-surgical wound dressings between once and twice a week for nearly 4 months now and I cannot fault them. I think I have been seen by most of the nurses there by now and they are …
Have been seen and long term treatment at the haematology or ambulatory care depot at QE2 hospital for past 30yrs. I can only give praise to all the Haematology and Ambulatory Care staff, doctors and nurses have always treated me with …
The howlands clinic staff are rude and after waiting for 2 hours with an injury to my back I just left because they refused to xray and said they can only do what my GP can
Awful
Brought my partner here for a shoulder injury. Been told that she MUST wear a mask although exempt due to health issues, then told I’m not allowed to stay with her even through I am her carer. Staff say if it gets busy I will have to leave. …
Phoned 111 and got advised to come here with my ill toddler. When I got there, they refused to see him. He is 3 years old!!! Unbelievable. And why are you lying saying it’s 24 hour care? It’s not open 24 hours, I was advised to go quickly …
Fantastic service today.
Referred to urgent care with foot injury.
Consultation, x-ray, results, advice, in less than half an hour. …
The NHS Urgent Care is the worst. Have some patience to listen to what the patient’s medical history before declaring it’s COVID-19. I was there for a really bad bronchitis cough and they didn’t have the patience to listen to my history. …
Tell you on 111 that the wait is about a hour. I get here it’s a four hour wait minimum. They get you two shout your personal details in front of everyone and have to talk about your medical issues in front of the whole waiting room which I …
Terrible Service Cancelled our child’s appointment by post! Never even gave a reason as why it had been cancelled after waiting 4 months already to get the appointment. Received new appointment only to be cancelled again the day before
First visit today to new QE2 Urgent Care centre. Very impressed with the efficiency and friendliness of everyone I saw today
If you pregnant and under the care of the antenatal department here then I feel for you and fear for your welfare as I do mine. There is no trace of care whatsoever, the reception staff are rude and would rather have a chat about other …
After having my appointment cancelled 3 times I finally got an appt today 2nd November 2021. I live in letchworth and do not drive. I arrived 15 minutes before appointment and was told you don’t have an appt today (I had letter saying I …
The building looks nice, front of reception nurse taking down notes seemed like she wanted to be somewhere else. Her whole body language was bad, I had to constantly repeat myself just to give her information . …
Attended this morning after being sent for a blood test by my GP. They were short staffed so there was an hour long wait, but the staff were nice and I bought a cup of tea from the cafe (cakes looked amazing in there!). If you are sent to …
Unbelievable my 80year old mother been waiting 3 hours to have an infected cat bite seen to, everyone that came within 2 hours after her have been seen and have gone. Appalling treatment of the elderly just appalling.
The only seating outside and inside are cold hard blocks of stone. Nothing for comfort or anything with back support. Benches would have been cheaper and more comfortable. This is from a trust that promotes “it’s all about you” what a joke. …
The team in the Urgent Care Centre were incredibly helpful with my stitches. They managed to see me promptly and it all felt safe, which was great during these exceptional times. Thank you NHS!
Amazing service! I had to have my hand glued and steri-stripped last Saturday and was back 6 days later for my ankle which turned out to be broken. Everything was very quick, the staff really helpful, efficient and polite (unlike one of the patients!). I couldn’t fault it. Thanks to everyone.
Get digital records. You’re 20 years behind my vet.
I went in suspecting I had broken my foot. Hospital staff were a mix of friendly and completely miserable people. The building itself is clean and tidy inside. …
Due to our old ‘friend’ – if you can call it that – Covid, I had a series of opthalmic appointments cancelled last year and was eager to find out exactly what to do about rebooking them. I rang up the New QE2 helpdesk today and spoke to the …
Attended with my son on a Sunday morning after he injured his ankle. Only a short wait to be seen. Staff were kind and friendly. We were seen, x-rayed and plastered within an hour and a half!
Changed their blood testing to appointments but it’s impossible they give you a choice of 3 days same day and the following 2 days all of which are fully booked??? Before you had to wait possibly a long time but at least you could prepare for it
Had a CT scan. Was only in the hospital for 10 minutes. Staff were friendly too.
Very slow service. I went to blood test department 3 times and each time I had to wait 3 hours. This is a joke… like we dont have nothing earls to do! And the Antenatal department was not any better. They let me wait till the end and when …
They have been cancelling our ppointments since 2018, 5 times in total .On the final 5th time they called and said to come in.When we arrived, the staff were very rude, lied that we had a phone appointment . …
My daughter went there yesterday as she has a probable broken foot. She told the reception desk that she had broken it a year ago but it feels like it has broken again. Very painful. After two hours wait she was called into to the room and …
Friendly helpful staff – was so impressed as I was a very nervous patient and yet they all looked after you and explained each step. …
NHS collapse in uk , paying 800 pounds monthly only for National insurance number and when you go to hospital you need to wait for 5 hours in a pain. A lot to say. Wish to have NHS as is in USA and everyone will pay privat so they will learn but of course as always benefits 🙂 you always needs to pay for someone!!!
Went for a blood test today. I was seen within 5 minutes of arriving and it all went without a hitch. I’d had a previous blood test in the portacabin and there was a pretty long wait even if you arrived early and I needed 3 nurses to find …
Lovely staff always accommodating under such difficult circumstances. Can be long waiting times but they still work exceptionally well
How is it possible to turn up to a 24 hour urgent care centre with your sick 1 year old at 4am and be turned away? No GP’s available after midnight and an instruction to call 111? I am not one to leave negative reviews unless necessary, but this is shocking.
Until I complained and made a real fuss care on Stanborough ward for my parents was poor. Staff ignored me, my dad left un shaved, wet bed, isolated. My mum given wash bowl out of reach. Poor communication. Staff not making eye contact …
Attended with my daughter on bank holiday monday with a deep cut to her foot. Staff were excellent. They saw her immediately. Gave pain relief, cleaned and glued/stitched wound all within 30 mins.
