I know this hospital has a poor reputation but after todays experience, I wanted to address the negative.

My mother was admitted to A&E in April 2023, and passed away a couple of days later in the Hospital. Every single member of staff who looked after her (and us) was so kind, so professional and caring, I have nothing but praise for all of them. Thank you.
Arrived in ED at 12.15, saw within 15 minutes and received an X-Ray. Waited another 30 minutes and called again, whereby I was told I had broken my thumb and fractured my hand, I was immediately put in a cast, all the staff were amazing. All done and dusted and left the ED at 1.30 BRILLIANT SERVICE, thank you all very much Matt

I came to the accident and emergency depart today with my son and I can’t believe how amazing the service was! They were so quick and made sure he was ok! By far the best hospital I have been too! Thank you so much to the team that made him feel better today and gave him the best care!
The staff looked after me wonderfully and helped me when I needed it.
The hospital is showing its age.
It could really do with an influx of funds or even a new hospital seeing weston-super-mare is a fast growing town
If I could give this place no stars I would.

Had to go to A&E yesterday. Words fail me the quality of care I got from the receptionist to the doctor and nurses was exceptional, no better than exceptional. Every person I met cared and it showed. I hope you get the wages you deserve. Thankyou

Due to sending minor cases to a minors hospital I was in and out in a couple of hours. I had the same Dr throughout and was dealt with quickly which meant I wasn’t taking up space in a and e waiting for blood results.
I’ve had the time of my life working there as a junior doctor. Friendly colleagues, friendly patients. Will miss you all!!

The staff work hard and are extremely experienced they have saved me and my 2 daughters what more can I say. Well apart from thank you from the bottom of my hart xxx
3 entries to A&E this year and each has been handled in a friendly and efficient manor. Cannot fault the staff, yes there is a shortage but that’s the same at most hospitals, but the ones on duty couldn’t do enough. If a visit to the hospital can be considered as such, then it was an excellent experience!
Left my pregnant wife sat on a hard chair for 6+ hours.
Told us to move from the room we got because some moaning old cow wanted it.
What a joke
2023 went into A&E and all the staff I saw were lovely, kind and helpful it felt really good to finally be listened to after my local medical centre didn’t help or listen. I finally got the help I needed.

Was referred to the A&E surgical team by my local MIU. On arrival the department was very busy but I was dealt with efficiently. Delightful triage nurse, and the surgical team were fabulous. I feel most grateful for the care and attention I received.

The standards of this hospital are an absolute disgrace. The management should be protected. To put a patient who has suffered a fall and was shielding in the same room as a seriously ill covid patient is inexcusable. The phones were never …
Cannot fault this hospital from my issues with a dodgey wrist to my partner care with breast cancer absolutely brilliant

My Dad Has been in and out of weston General on a few occasions. Left waiting for hours In A and E despite being 82 and extremely unwell. They couldn’t find anyone qualified to take bloods! One time I rang they put me straight on to him and …
Triage nurse was lovely, and was shocked that I hadn’t had a scan for my worsening back pain. When I was seen by the doctor I was told to go home and keep taking my pain killers. Refused to send me for a scan. I was in the waiting room on the floor crying in agony unable to sit or stand properly, he said he couldn’t help me.

Have been admitted many times due to chronic mobility problems & other problems. A great hospital. Caring staff & local plus immediate areas around couldnt cope without it. I’m a retired Reg nurse & midwife so expect high standards. Have never been let down ìn last 20 years living here.
I wanted to say a big thank-you to the “Team” at Weston General Hospital who looked after me today when my pony reared, knocked me over, reared again and landed on me when I was flat out on the ground. The ambulance men Andrew and Jamal …
My experience at the Costa today was shocking. I ordered 3 caramel and cream frostinos and they were disgusting we couldn’t even drink them. It was like water and the cream curdled in the drink. There was no pride in how they looked and the order was even wrong the first time round. These drinks are not cheap and I am not happy at all.
I had to have a tooth extracted at my dentist in Berrow. I was told to stop taking my blood thinners on the morning of the 20/10/21 before the extraction. Of the tooth 🦷 …

A&E secretly getting closed down by the NBT Trust who care about money more that patients, so if you get SEPSIS, stroke, heart attack, etc you will have to try and survive until an ambulance arrives to take you to Bristol….so you will likely will be dead, but dead patients save the trust money.
Absolutely awful hospital! Staff are useless bar the paramedics whom were very good! This hospital either needs to be closed down, or invested in, its a shambles!!! My partner had 2 thumb print marks on her arm and I was instantly accused …
