Write a ReviewWell-attended facility, certainly the pool. Book a one-hour slot for lane swimming – see the website. Change room is a co-ed “village.” Lockers cost 20p. Free hair dryers. Snacks and beverages in vending machines. Lounge chairs and tables. Pleasant staff.
Great customer service.
Excited to join their adult swimming lessons. Great pools. Clean and well maintained. Overall 10 on 10 experience. Definitely recommend. Affordable prices. Wide range of activities like gym and swimming.
Gym closes at 4pm on a Saturday and 6pm on a Sunday..
staff always stare at me when I’m using the gym and it makes me uncomfortable!
If I ever go to the gym about 9pm during the week (they close at 10pm) staff …
Riverside Leisure Centre is located in City Centre, close to local supermarkets like B&M, Morrisons, Nike Retails, Boots, etc. The centre offers membership for gym and swimming for all ages. You may choose to join Swimming only on monthly …
Have been a member of the Riverside Leisure centre for quite sometime now and think i may have left a review before. I have swim only membership which generally suits my needs. On the whole i enjoy the centre and the service I receive. …
Very affordable sport center. Nice and clean pool and jacuzzi. Also 2 sauna rooms: wet and dry hot air. Aquafit and aqua Zumba are really nice. Liked very much the classes here: body balance, body pump, body attack, yoga, cycle classes etc. Nice and helpful staff. Oh, and they also have swimming classes for children and of course a gym.
Its got good changing rooms which cost either 20p for lockers or better to bring your own padlock. The changing rooms are well maintained and the staff are friendly and helpful. The pool is 25M long with swim lanes most days segregated into …
As an under 16, you pay £18.99 a month for a membership that can’t even guarantee you access to the gym in your allotted ONE A DAY, ONE HOUR SLOT!! Instead, you have to book a week in advance. They allow adults to be in the gym while the …
Lanes were really busy. Loads of hair balls floating around. Hot tub occupied by a group of gross pervy blokes for more than 30 minutes meaning no-one else could get in.
Please clean you air conditioner or get some clean air in the gym I always leave and have a sore throat/cough the next day and it coincides with cardio gym days.
Visited the leisure yesterday, had an unpleasant experience with 3 ladies at the reception who advised if my sister can’t swim they will ask us out of the pool (after assuring she can swim which we felt like they were implying that we were …
Really great leisure with something for everyone. They have pt on offer and swimming lessons. The little pool next to the 25m pool is great for little ones. It is very accessible, has plenty of changing space. Make sure and put in your car …
Lovely pool, nice staff, great public facility.
Sad that one of the legacies of covid seems to be time-limited (very expensive) swimming. Gone are the days of paying a reasonable price for swimming and getting as long as you want (or at least more than an hour!). £20+ for a family to …
Just used the pool for a bit of fun with the kids. Good value for money although it is a pretty basic pool if you’re just looking for somewhere to mess about with the kids – no slides etc. Plenty of balls knocking about for a game of piggy …
Easy to find on Google so 5stars.
Kings Lynn pool,20p lockers you don’t get it back.
Carpark, 2hrs, £3.00 and the swim price is £5.50. this makes it an expensive …
Sauna and steam room closed. Lost a star each on these. Other than that, standard swimming pool.
Great staff here, friendly and approachable, never had any issues, the only complaint I have is the pool is always cold no matter when u go
The staff are absolutely lovely, however, the subscriptions are absolutely awful, it’s too expensive for what it’s worth and there are fees at the beginning as well as hidden ones. If a payment bounces for no reason, an immediate £20 charge …
Popped in to see what the Riverside had to offer. Very helpful staff gave me an impromptu show around. A good positive 1st impression of what looks like a popular and well equipped Gym and pool.
Great! They have 2 swimming pools vending machines and their facilities are always clean staff are very helpful and there is a big variety of gym equipment and exercises led by members of staff like yoga, Pilates, and more there is also a junior gym for children of 11 years old!
Not sure if enjoyed would be the correct word, but certainly got done what I needed to 😬 …
Smallest had first lesson today with no prior swims and eldest returning after years not going at Riverside. Must say the changing rooms are smelling a lot nicer this time round. Both girls had a great lesson.
I bring my grandchildren here in the teaching pool most weekends.
The lifeguards and reception staff are always lovely and the teaching pool water is warm. …
Very pleasant surroundings and an opportunity for a relaxed swim 🏊♂️ …
I have only used the swimming pool here but it is brilliant with a separate small pool for young children. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. Booking a session is really easy and very reasonable too. I would definitely recommend using this pool. I cant comment on gym as I haven’t used it.
Really great on price, used my spree voucher to go swimming with the kids on a Saturday afternoon. It wasn’t too packed out which was great, managed to swim a few laps then sat in the hot tub with a good view if the pool so I could keep an …
Very close to the river side Morrisons. It has a swimming pool, gym, yoga and Zumba classes. It has convenient parking next to it. It also has a Coffee vending machine with a free table viewing swimming pool and guest restrooms.
Really impressed with the clean pool and the bonus of a steam room and sauna. Family session is fun and not too busy. Clean changing rooms and warm showers plus friendly lifeguards.
Great clean good facilities lovely staff enjoyed it very much and going back regularly my only concern is the hand rail getting out and in pool needs some sort of grip as when your hands are wet it is slippery and you can lose your grip
Large pool next to children one?! I think that’s great! Everyone can enjoy at the same time isn’t? This is the first pool i visited with that many staff around- safety is first.. sauna, steam room and jacuzzi all in one price! Definitely will visit again.
It’s a great centre and reasonably priced. The swimming pool is great and the kids pool is even better although beware school holidays as it gets packed. The reason I’ve not given it more stars is because of a major complaint. The kids pool …
Loved seeing my little one having fun in the pool however it is freezing and should be warmer. The changing rooms were dirty and smelt like wee.
Booked online, Could only book a family of four ticket for nearly £16. As it was only me and a child I asked at the desk on arrival if I could change it and was told that that was the only option they have available – totally ridiculous. …
I’m a regular swimmer and every time i use the pool it is clean, warm and friendly atmosphere. ALL staff are helpful, attentive, inclusive and polite without fail, I struggle to think of a better example of a customer experience. Highly recommended and the lane swimming is well disciplined and split for various ability and speed.
The pool is fine. However, as currently sessions are limited and each session has to be booked it tends to be very full and swimming there isn’t a pleasant experience. It would really help if more (and possibly later) swimming sessions available. Pool staff are great but it’s a nightmare currently.
Nice to attend ladies hour for swimming and steam room facilities, staff kindly allowed parking my escooter in buggy bay area! Friendly staff at reception too, thank you!
The gym has a little of everything and it gets really crowded after work hours. Takes longer to finish your training when you need to wait in line for weights and gym equipment. It simply has too many customers for such a small weights …
Personally this is the best gym I’ve been to. I’ve tried The Gym and 24/7. This gym isn’t intimidating and sometimes in some gyms you can feel like that. I think there’s a good range of classes and good availability. The instructors are good fun, make you feel at ease and overall make the experience more enjoyable!
Very good value for money, I never wait in the gym, plenty of free classes within the membership, and overall cleanness is good. Swim is good too, sometime a bit crowdy but I never had a problem to complete 1 hour workout there. SPA is …
Riverside Leisure Centre is a wonderful place to be a member of. The staff are really friendly, professional and helpful. I use the pool most days and am always impressed by the cleanliness of the pool itself and the changing area. The most …
Good lessons for more my daughter, teachers were friendly and she had fun. I had an issue canceling the lesson and they continued charging me for 3 months. then told me I should have cancelled via email, not in person. Cheers brilliant customer service.
Son goes swimming lessons and he really enjoys it, its something he struggles with but his teachers always pushing him forward. …
I have just joined and have spent an hour in the gym. It was lovely..quiet and small..not intimidating at all like some big gyms can be. This was on a weekday between 10 and 11am. The staff member was quite rude and impatient who did my …
We really like taking our kids (2&4) to this pool, but 3 times in as many weeks we have been turned away due to the teaching pool being full. …
They don’t give proper time to kids during swiming lessons believe to make money, a very few swiming teacher are nice who actually pay attention rest all just time pass making money, at least swiming classes are not worth to learn 25 minutes with 6-8 kids are not sufficient, taking just advantage of parents emotions and money.
I have only been here a few times to just swim when classes arent on. Firstly it is hard to find a time when you can just swim and not have to wait for classes. Otherwise it was great. The changing rooms are clean and tidy. The hot tub and …
Swimming facility on its own is good however the lessons offered are quite poor especially for Stage 1 onward/new starters. An extremely laid back and unstructured approach which i found quite annoying. Sessions overcrowded and mostly no …
Good value leisure centre. Gym, Swim or Workout classes.
Ample free parking for 2.5hrs so plenty of time for a work out. …
It was a good experience, personally enjoyed the steam room and the pool. Nice for indoor exercise activities.
I’ve been a regular there for a few years. The pool itself is good, over 50s sessions nice and quiet! Changing rooms can be grubby.. the no shoes rule is tricky to enforce. Check before paying to go in if one of the steam/ sauna/ spa pool …
This is the only swimming pool open to the public in the city centre. Like all pools it has times when it is busy and not busy. There’s a timetable on their website that tells you when it is being used, usually for schools and lessons, and …
Great gym facilities, never too crowded, slightly busier after work compared to mornings, as one should expect. …
We went for a family session in the training pool with our 8 month old. Well organised RE covid precautions, and the numbers in the pool were kept down to a good level that allowed a good swim session.
Absolutly great, friendly, professional team. Lovely, clean facilities, no fuss. I changed from the private pool and gym I was with for 7 years. The change was triggered by covid. No regrets whatsoever.
Super friendly, helpful staff. Lovely facilities even for disabled children like my own. Highly recommended
This is a nice pool with good facilities. The main problem is that Norwich needs more of them. I go with my kids but the training pool is almost always booked up on a Sunday. Rest of the time you have find a gap between booked out sessions. …
Have been to this venue about half a dozen times and this was the 3rd time I was unable to enjoy swimming session I had planned (going by the timetable on the website). I was very rudely informed by the child behind the reception desk that …
Very helpful on the front desk and approachable lifeguards with clear lane etiquette instructions. They could do with a better standard of lane ‘rope’rather than the cheap rope style and the cubicles are a bit small when you are 6’4” but overall not too bad.
Generally a good experience. The pool is usually clean and the water is a good temperature. However, as I use the pool to train, it would be helpful to have a lane dedicated to good swimmers. The two “fast lanes” very often have swimmers who just do gentle breaststroke. The pool attendants never intervene.
Use to really enjoy swimming here, but it seems to be going down hill. Why does it take so long for relatively minor issues to be put right? Currently, they have the pool changing area permently open due to a broken door. This probably …
My 2 kids have just had a week of 1-2-1 swimming lessons with Paula during our (French) half term while visiting grandparents in Norwich. They loved every minute. From the first lesson both kids did not stop smiling. Paula has been …
It is really bad customer service .they tell you something and they do some things different. I paid £ 13.80 for two hours but they gave me just one hour and they say sorry for that .I have got two parking tickets.the second one they said …
I took the kids for the first time in a while and it was a pleasant experience. Life guards on duty the whole time gave piece of mind as I had 2 to keep an eye on too. The pool was warm ,Family changing rooms a godsend 😊 Thanks! …
Nothing works there and take half a century to repair things got broken. Arrived few weeks back: sauna and main pool was out of order, but paid full prise, arrived last Sunday, paid and after the payment was told that both Sauna, Steam room …
My son Luca has been having swimming lessons there now …minus lockdown so about 6/7 months. He has improved greatly. Thats down to good teachers and good organisation. Very happy
The staff here are always welcoming and helpful and the members that use this gym are very friendly. I have used a few gyms in Norwich and the majority have been intimidating and stuffy, not here! The range of equipment and classes is very good, would recommend to anyone.
Weekday morning in Easter holidays. Pool empty until about 10:30 when started to fill up. Get in early. Warm pool. Clean changing rooms and poolside. Lovely hot showers. really impressed.
Good pool but no longer great to take kids during the summer holidays as too many specific classes/themes going on, it’s the middle of the school holidays and kids wanted to swim and have fun, in the afternoon, told 3pm was only slot and it only lasted 45mins. So not worth the time and money.
Staff on the front counter are very helpful and welcoming.
Signage next to the pool asking for swimmers to shower before entering the water. However l have seen numerous swimmers enter the pool without showering. The …
Like the tidyness and good price. Lockers is 20p. I really like to use sauna or if it’s too bussy then i use steamroom. Also hot tub available to use. Modern showers available to use before and after swim. There is 2 pools – big one for adults and teaching pool for little ones.
Great pool though can get a little busy at times. Top notch staff, jacuzzi, steam room and sauna though 😃 …
Good value for money with a good size pool. Gym equipment is limited and at peak times it can be difficult to get on what you want. However staff are friendly and it has a good atmosphere.
Site tells you to call to book, but they never answer the phone. 2 events on for children in half term?? Supposed to be a council run pool for the community, no demonstration of that. Always disappointed when we attempt to come here.
Was nice to be swimming again. Easy to book over the phone and they were very helpful with prices and service. Plenty of parking. Easy foot access from Norwich city centre.
I only use Riverside for swimming. One thing I’ll miss about the Covid era, staff kept the changing room area and pool clean. First visit today since early August. Changing rooms were disgusting.
I have attended the gym 4 times now and the changing rooms have been spotless on every visit. I would say they are understaffed in the Gym, but everyone I have talked to has been helpful and polite. Not as the reviews I have just read.
One of the only places to go swimming in Norwich and it tells. Always busy and the smaller, warmer pool is always full, despite getting there at 9AM. The changing area is generally grubby and just feels dirty. There was a guy in the public showers scraping the dead skin off his feet which was a massive put off!
Facilities are good, let down by poor hygiene and not enforcing pool users to take off footwear before entering. …
Really good place for swimming but the gym is very close knit and clicky. I felt like I was on a date training out, didn’t mind though as the worker was decent.
