Write a ReviewCan’t rate the NEW Royal enough. For the first time, my partner was able to leave the car at the drop-off spot and walk me into the hospital. Absolutely love the separate rooms per patient. Everything was 100% better. I’m in hospital every …
I can’t speak for the rest of the departments but I had an exam done in the radiology department and was in and out quickly. I was very nervous but the three women who were in the room with me put me right at ease and explained everything …
Very disappointed with the service in new a &e. After being taken by ambulance, I was transferred to the dept, nurse wasn’t listening to ambulance staff as they handed over. Despite suffering from extreme dizziness and nausea I was pushed …
Staff are friendly (although very visibly busy) but this doesn’t excuse the place looking like it houses more disease than it cures… …
Excruciating waiting time just to be told that because my blood results were ‘normal’ i was medically well and had ‘nothing wrong’. Absolute incompetency at its best. I was completely dismissed by a rude, on the phone, member of staff. …
You are amazing 👏 from the people at reception on A&E. The doctors and nurses. The cleaner’s, the young man who was going around providing drinks and sandwiches. The ambulance staff who took My mum to A&E. Thank you so 💓 …
After waiting an hour in an over heated, packed, waiting room with an excessively loud audio valley system I felt faint with a dreadful headache. The doctor then told me he needed a repeat blood test and I was sent up & diwn the same route 3 times backwards & forwards with no one seeming able to correctly direct ne. I gave up &left
It’s strange to say that you “loved” any hospital but the staff here are brilliant, from all accounts some of the best in the world. Now the staff are in a much better building suited to the excellent work they offer patients.
Attended St Paul’s eye hospital which is on the ground floor of the new building. No parking really close by but can drop off by the entrance. Café also not far from the entrance. Reception directs you to the relevant waiting area.
Absolutely fantastic place! Rhian & Reena at the haematology / haemophilia department are beyond fanstastic. Had an unfortunate dental accident, and I cannot thank this team enough for liasing with my Royal Free in Hampstead London, and the …
My mum went to this hospital and said the staff don’t really look after the patients that well and I had me best friend uncle there too and been told there not looking after him that well as there aposs too. No Idea how the hospital Doing …
Sitting in corridor waiting for ambulance for at least 4hrs to take my dementia resident back to nursing home. She is not mobile so no other way back. So agitated they just dont care.
Worst experience in a hospital yet. Took 8 hours for me to see a doctor. They spent most the time calling peoples names out who weren’t even there. I asked 5 different people for pain killers over a period of 5 hours and nobody could supply me with some. Felt like I was being treated like an animal.
Amazing hospital I have pancreatitis and when the pancreas specialists saw me they said I looked very unwell and admitted me in amazing staff and so friendly and caring
Have been in there recently with my niece. She had to have emergency surgery and due to her being 16 someone had to stay the night, I took her mum off arounf 10pm and the staff were second to non! So helpful, caring and reassuring. 8y …
I had a very bad experience in this hospital. I came with my husband he was having high fever ,chest congestion, throat pain . We got there in an ambulance ,booked with the GP .sat there for too long and no body else called his name . He …
They need to reconsider the public parking spaces. There’s simply not enough for the amount of people attending clinics and A&E.
We had to wait for quite a bit but got a good diagnosis and everyone was very approachable. Very reliable ER
Absolutely terrible hospital, wouldn’t check me over since I had my 5 week old with me who I couldn’t leave. Left me with no care even though I was freshly postpartum with a high temp and high heart rate. Worst of all they told my partner …
Brand new hospital. Service was excellent. However, poor internal signage and no on site car parking for visitors.
Run down location but staff are good. Security seem to have much to contend with. Visited the eye clinic as emergency walk-in.
Might be a new hospital but still very bad treatment for patients. Staff not trained to use equipment and cases of staff trying to give wrong medication..not many information signs up massive queues at Costa bar. Many trolleys in corridors with patients waiting to be seen in A and E bit of a disgrace for new hospital 🏥 …
Well despite the eye clinic I was attending this morning being cancelled without any notification I am enjoying sitting in the vast new auditorium cafe – only destroyed by the piercing foghorn sound calling patients to appointments.
Restaurant on tenth floor was good, trying to get an operation wasn’t, postponed three times.
disputing I can understand they have lot to do but 12 hours wait we left without seen doctors because needs to go to work 8 in the morning they keep saying any moment now wasting bledy tax payers money.. waste of staff on admin side they …
Absolutely horrified by the scenes in A&E corridor (where there’s lots of patients on beds) one man screaming for help. One elderly man fell off his bed. No staff to be seen. Disgraceful
Having to deal with doctors who got their degree abroad now work for the NHS is appalling!.. …
A new addition to Liverpool hospitals well organised though you do sit in large waiting areas service is very professional and friendly
Like all underfunded NHS establishments there are shortages of staff and equipment by the staff remain incredibly resilient in their attempts at making ends meet.
I was in A&E on Sunday and back in all the next day. Its a heatwave and covid numbers are high and I was quite nervous as I was on my own. Every single member of staff was amazing, clear, calm, reassuring, not just the medical staff but …
All the staff A&E ACU and Ward 6D have been fantastic with the care for my wife.Waiting times are not there fault
They will let you die on a chair in the triage room, it happened 4 times in 6 months when I had to wait between 5-7 and 12 hours each visit in the end to be sent home without a prescription, a pill or a discharge letter. The staff is …
Had to go to a+e on wed 18th after a fall Treatment and staff were excellent
So thanks You certainly made an ‘old girl comfortable and confident in outcome
It’s a new hospital not long opened. It’s very clean and staff are very friendly and helpful. Staff should be paid more.
Save the NHS, to free up beds. If patients are well enough to go outside for a smoke they are well enough to go home
husband went twice to A&E because of unbearable pain in lower back and whole leg he couldn’t sit nor sleep or drive due to severe pain was already having most pain killers prescribed by GP but he was getting worse instead of getting better, …
i snapped my canine tooth at the height of the covid epidemic and could not find dentist anywhere rang liverpool dentist hostpital removed the tooth the next day ,and received the best care ever thank you liverpool dental hostpoital joe mitchell
Great new hospital, fantastic service and support at least for me
I was taken to the RLUH by Ambulance last Saturday with breathing difficulty and pain. From the crew that took me in to A+E , Majors eventually to Ward 9B, amazing Nurses, Dr,s Tea Lady, Cleaners, every one made me feel safe and reassured …
A fairly poor emergency department, being one of, if not the largest emergency department for Liverpool there was a massive lack of blankets and the building was massively overcrowded, with some people being treated in the corridors. The …
Horrible experience, I stay for 6hrs on Saturday for urine test , blood test and x-ray, I come back next day Sunday for more 4hrs and nobody knows what I have , doctor said everything OK, but I am still fell so bad, so I leave the hospital …
A ******* disaster of a place, waited 6 hours didn’t get seen member of staff said to all patients waiting in a&e there will be a 14 hour wait or maybe longer. An told to go elsewhere or your local gp, problem is the gp will probably refer you back there. Suicidal wait
Not the best patient care when you say to a 78yo woman at the second triage stage in A&E (3 hours after registering in): …
The building looks nice, but lifts are small and very hard to find your way around
This is the worst hospital I have ever been to. The staff here are so unprofessional, rude and lazy. Waited 8 hours to be seen just to be given a prescription document. Paramedics were very rude, all they did was stand around and chat about …
I have always found this a brilliant hospital with very attentive staff. A lot of peoe have bad reviews – 95 % are due to the under funding of the NHS and management and staff having to stretch said funds too fat and very thinly, …
I was and I am tremendously impressed by the dedication and passion of the 3B ward team. Popy, Sue, Adele amazing Nurses and Drs
Disgusting place and disgusting staff. Waiting for more than 9 hours and nobody help. Left on pain and attending drunk people. Not painkillers given, nurses very rude and helpless
Staff wonderful loving ,patient caring,100%to nuclear medicines and all staff JB
I used my passport as a form of ID however it somehow ‘disappeared’ during my stay as an inpatient and was not returned with my belongings upon discharge leaving me to foot the bill to reapply for a new passport despite me still having 5 …
Wonderful staff on the wards at the Royal who are looking after my mum 24/7 during a very difficult time.
We are blessed to have you – NHS. ♥ …
I have mixed feelings about this hospital. In 2019 had an amazing experience in A&E after a fall down the stairs they did all the testing and thanks to that detected a tumor in my thyroid which got operated upon very soon. Then 2020 hit and …
They literally have destroyed all my veins during bloodworks lol. However the orthopedics group is good, and also many of the doctors I have met are knowledgeable and polite. If get admitted they have an a la carte menu (for free) where you …
Unqualified nurses and emergency gp; they say they are cardiologists just to later find out they were gps. Providing false data, take patients in after 8-10 hours for a quick conversation let’s patients go as they came bec they are supposed …
Longer term review as I had major cancer surgery at The Royal 5 years ago and today had my yearly assessment.
Delighted to say that all is well and that’s it for a further 12 months! …

I spent 8 days on ward 5b in June this year. I was also a patient there in April last year. The nursing care I received was second to none. The nursing staff were happy and smiling , nothing was too much trouble, they really did make a …
Get yourself sorted if you not well like. Nice new building too.
Very rude nurse, did not take the time to listen and was extremely condescending,
My son had a transplant here, the cleanliness was a bit off putting on the wards, water on the floor, nurse threw towel on it and left it for the 2hrs i was there. Also blood stains on the floor were left for days.

Many has been the time my shoulder has Dislocated this hospital has brought me through same with blood Clots to Thank the doctors and nurses.
Ward 3B has a wonderful team of the most friendly, kind & caring staff members, who all went above and beyond to accommodate not only my 90 year old father but also that of our family’s needs. We can’t thank them enough; they’re a real asset to the hospital and NHS. Keep up the good work guys!
After a recent stay in the Royal I felt obliged to write a review of this great hospital. Even under the strain of a pandemic, my care never felt compromised and I’m extremely grateful for their help. A huge thank you to the staff on ward …
Absolutely awful care … been back and forward for 2 weeks now with servere abdominal pain. Passed from pillar to post between them and the womens . Constantly told to go back if pain gets worse to then be sent home time and time again . …

Busy. Very clean. Wonderful staff
Fantastic treatment when attending A&E today.
Professional, efficient caring staff right across the board. I feel so lucky to have such an amazing facility so close to home. Thankyou for such excellent treatment so much appreciated.
Pretty easy to find and if you need to find a specific place then there is people on hand to get you to where you need to be
The Royal in Liverpool
Have some of the most amazing nurses I have ever had the pleasure to meet. …
Just starting my cancer journey but I am so impressed with the speed that things are progressing.
The new hospital is brilliant
From start to finish on a major operation, the nurses, receptionist, doctors and surgeons have been amazing with my dad. Thank you all so much for your hard work and professionalism. You just can’t beat liverpool when it comes to health care.
Very kind and helpful staff
Very good service and professionalism shown towards patients at all times
Excellent next day check up service from the surgical team involved with my care
Removing all the deadbeats and smack heads from the front of the building should be high on the hospitals agenda. AMC should do a new series of the Walking Dead around the Royal, the show wouldn’t be short of prospective cast members. Ps I am from Liverpool too so this isn’t an anti scouse review.
The ambulance department is very poor and needs to wait for more than ten hours. Oh my God, it is really a deadly wait
Great new building, takes a bit of getting used to where the clinics are,but much more enjoyable experience, no shops yet ! Big mistake
Our dad Danny was taken in by Ambulance on the December 20. He was taken to ward 6 x and was in there until he passed on the February 21. In this time every single person who worked on the ward Nurses/Care …
Cool place!! Love the design and how it looks!!
Spent over 4 Hrs. in the last week trying to get through to physio to book an appointment following nerve test all to no avail about to give up. More NHS money wasted on test that go nowhere and I’m still suffering
