I am partially deaf in both ears my aids needs servicing and I have not had a hearing test since I was diagnosed five plus years ago …
Staff was courteous and friendly, built rapport. It is a very big hospital, and navigating your way can be quite challenging. Thanks to the sign posts they have everywhere; makes finding your way a breeze, very easy! There are cafes and …
12 Apr 2023-I have been referred to the SDEC 2 UNIT due to a renal calculi, the staff there at the unit were so rude. Having severe pain, i have asked for a pain killer they have never bothered to give one or ring the doctor. (They said …
My daughter Izzy was on the Trauma Assessment Unit for two weeks after being run over and suffering a brain injury. The TAU team was fantastic – from smiley Dami who prepped and served hot drinks and toast at bedtime, to all of the …
First triage nurse in A&E was not very friendly. Short, with short blond highlighting hair. Doesn’t know much about patient privacy, but more about using her phone. Overall good experience, friendly receptionists, Panda Unit triage nurse was amazing, and GP was knowledgable and there to listen. ++
It was my first visit to this hospitals neurology department. The staff were wonderful. Knowledgeable, helpful and caring. I have trouble being where there are other people but while waiting for transport home,I asked if I could go outside, …
Quite busy, but just as busy as you would expect a hospital to be. The nice new touch to this hospital is that on a Thursday at the main car park, there is a farmers market stall and the priduce is really good. I do like the grapes very crisp and crunching.
Staff were attentive and polite from the moment I walked through the door.
Dr Opey listened to my concerns seriously, she liaised with a spinal consultant and made sure she understood my history and current problem. Dr Opey was very …
Queued for 30 minutes to park. Sent to wrong department, and when eventually getting to the correct department which takes me a long time because of walking difficulties, was told I couldn’t see the doctor. …
No one is there to help you to find a building you have an appointment with and I spent 20 mins wondering around. No interpreter was provided for an appointment that I waited for 3 years. The doctors are rude and insisted that I don’t need …
I went to A&E last night with a sharp shooting pain in my left arm. They admitted me for a while, a nurse gave me pain killers, and I was not seen by any doctor at all. They didnt investigate and did any of my scan or xray and just tell me …
Two weeks ago I was sent to A&E by my GP for admission prior to a phone consultation by him to the RMO.
From arriving at A&E at 1930 hrs until my discharge from EAU at 1700 hrs the …
I can not understand why smoking is tolerated at the entrances to a hospital. Signage clearly states its illegal. This needs to be enforced for the safety and comfort of the staff and patients
Poor communication, stuffed in a small room for hours on a mat on the floor like a prisoner. Terrible nurses. Worst 3 days of my life in that place. I’m disgusted and i’ll never get justice for the things that happened to me at salford …
Brilliant A&E.
This A&E should be a showcase for the whole country.
I came in to the Hospital in acute pain. …
After being brought here extremely poorly the staff were amazing in A&E and EAU.Then I was transferred to ward M3 in the ladywell building, all the staff are fabulous, they all work hard and tirelessly non stop for very much little appreciation,10 out 10 for absolutely everything and thank you for looking after me so well 😊 …
Very disappointed… worst experience ever
Doctors need some training how to treat people properly in the hospital .. not …
Rude operators. I understand it’s a Friday night, love. But being polite doesn’t cost much. We all have to go to work and feel stressed. Either go to work and do your job or find another because miserable energy on the phone clearly isn’t …
My brother had a fall at home broke 2 bones on spine and severly damaged is spinal cord the ICU department been amazing his care as been 100 per cent we could have lost him more than once but the team keep going. I C U have given my …
A very efficient hospital with a modern and attractive building and grounds with good amenities inside, very clean and easy to navigate around. Helpful assistance to find your way around. Our appointment was with Consultant Dr Thomasson at …
My husband died in this hospital in and out of icu then wards, died last year. I don’t know how but I don’t like this hospital it took my soul mate and its hard to carry on. I have my kids and grandkids. I know its not the hospital fault but I can’t forget.
Dropping mum off for day surgery.
Best hospital by far in the Manchester area. Always very clean and tidy, inside and out. Staff are the best ever, super polite and very helpful and supportive to all patients and relatives.
Staff in A&E brilliant and are credit to the trust care is brilliant and they go above and beyond for you. Total respect. Staff in EAU the same. Be proud of your staff they are amazing people.
We are so lucky to have the NHS. I have had my daughter at the panda unit twice in the last 6 months, separate issues. The staff/nurses we met were lovely, very professional and knowledgeable. The triage nurse we met twice was so calming. …
What is going off with people answering phones. I spent 50 minutes on the phone went from 9 down to 3 back up to 5, 6,7. Back down to 2 back to 7 back down to 7,6,5,4,3,2, 1 then back up to 2, 3 after 50 minutes I put the phone down and I …
Amazing staff that always is her to help. I usually arrive early and most of the time procedures get done earlier than scheduled as a result. Staff is very polite and makes sure that the clients are comfortable (offering food and blankets along with any help). Honestly one of best hospitals I’ve been in.!
Went in for a laceration, got stitched up and everything was alright UNTIL I left the place and they said THEY FORGOT TO GIVE ME ANTIBIOTICS!!!! Now I’m running about like a headless chicken so I DONT DIE FROM SERIOUS INFECTION!!!! THANKS A TON
From the moment that Mum was admitted with a fractured femur to the moment she was discharged she was treated with so much care, respect and kindness. All of the staff are hard working angels.
A brilliant hospital which will soon be ruined by the conservatives trying to privatise it. No pay rises will be given to the nurses, a systematic way will be created to deprive it then the tories will claim it doesn’t work. God help us.
Nurses in ward b7 in the Irving building are shockingly rude. Make up their own rules as they go along and watched as they blatantly ignored a woman screaming for help. Sat chatting not taking care of people. Using the day room for their …
A&E is a bit of a pain but that’s expected due to the over population of unwanted visitors
I use area 6 every few months for blood checks I never have to wait more then 5 minutes usually in and out within minutes
I was in ENT department and nurses were amazing and caring.Well maybe not so much with drips (left for feww hours)
Absolutely fantastic staff in A&E, very helpful, kind and knowledgeable. From reception onwards everyone was brilliant with us. A big thank you
The a & e were amazing with my son this week and then the AEU at the hope building were outstanding. Other hospitals could learn from them
Given medication for chronic migraines before seeing me and I can’t be on that medication because I am diabetic waited 9 weeks for my results on my brain scan In pain 24/7 and doctors so rude to you
I would like to express my deepest respect to all staff in Salford Royal hospital. The experience with admission via E&A was very frustrating and very long which was understandable due to so many people awaiting the treatment. All forgotten …
I would like to thank the doctors and nurses of EAU ward whom looked after me on Tuesday 25th October. My gp thought I had a heart problem and was rushed to A&E and within 10 mins was taken to EAU and tests were done. Thankfuly it wasnt a …

During a Sickle Cell crisis while visiting family in Manchester, I had to call the ambulance to get to the hospital, paramedics were amazing professionals and extremely caring, they had the necessary equipment and pain killers to …
I have been a patient here since 2016 and I have yet to receive any treatment. My disability is now so bad that I cannot even travel to this hospital to get scanned. I have tried all options available and I am struggling to get any help whatsoever.
Very Ignorant. We waited 8mths for a phone review. It NEVER HAPPENED. Contacted Staff to find out if something was wrong. I was told I’d get a call back. It NEVER HAPPENED. Called again, Same Response. IT NEVER HAPPENED.. To me that’s IGNORANT.
I have fialysis twice a week, very clean lovely staff and excellent doctors, there is a restaurant, and a WRVS, there is a WHSmith
I was to Salford hospital. If a big hospital very clean. Alot pepole there what help u to get to it place. Very helpful.friendly staffs.
They failed me with a hernia at C2/3. Now my friend laid up for 2.5 weeks with a fractured spine in a cottage hospital. No input from Salford. How can they be lifting their Salaries. But where is Clinical Governance when this is happening. Wake up Salford.
Our beautiful mum was on ward M2 brooke building we cannot thank the staff enough with the care they gave to our mum ❤ they looked after her and all of the family while we were going through such a hard time 💔 we appreciate everything you done ❤❤ THANK YOU x Amanda and sister Angela and family xxx …
Got my surgery done very nice people long wait on the waiting list.
Shocking. I would give zero stars. 13 weeks for appointment and in agony. Of work and can’t live on 90 a week. They cannot make appointment time any sooner. Absolute shocking. They don’t give a toss. Should be shut down. For god sake don’t get ill or use life will be ruined
Good hospital, really need a map and clear directions with the appointment letter to avoid going in circles, staff are very helpful but they must spend a lot of time giving directions. Signage is insufficient and to general. And what’s the …
Why do I pay tax when I can’t even be seen in a&e? 6 hour wait but wait! A drunk patient who feel over and cut his arm gets seen before me yet I’m having chest pains. This hospital is a joke and no care for patients. If you’re white, you will be seen first. Racism at its finest!
Easy to find parking
Reception staff friendly
Been here a few times always done very well . There in March brought me back from the brink ., the staff are fabulous. Wouldn’t go anywhere else 🥰 …
Been four times recently, staff are exceptional, appointment has been on time and thoroughly professional whilst also easing the patient, first class all the way 👏❤ …

I was so well looked after from start to finish, the nurses, consultants, anesthetist and everyone involved in my care were amaizing. …
I recently was treated as an outpatient at Neurology dept by a Ms Ammbreen Mirza and have nothing but praise for the way in which I was treated by receptionist and Ms Mirza.

Great service in the hospital, friendly staff, etc but I’ve spent an hour on the phone in a queue to get to 1st position then go back to 5th, how will I ever get through?
I absolutely despise coming to this hospital when will they train their staff to be more understanding that not everyone is able to wear a face mask. It really is anxiety provoking when they treat you like your being awkward.
I’ve spent many a day in A&E, attended to see a Consultant or for tests. There has never been a time that I haven’t had excellent treatment from all levels of staff. As far as I’m concerned they are the best.
I have been on hold for 2 hour and 34 minutes and still not managed to speak to anyone regarding an appointment. I understand that you are experiencing a high demand for your services but this is not very good especially in the evening when …
Neurology and Dr Kellett’s team are great. They totally understand what dignity and respect is and how to include the patient rather than treat them like an inconvenience to their day like some other departments.
I had to go in for a day to gave my ocrevous infusion for my multiple sclerosis the staff.were absolutely fantastic nothing was too much trouble. The side ward I was in was immaculate and the staff were constantly disinfecting. The ladies n gents are truly amazing. A massive thanks to them xxxc
A fantastic hospital in all aspects.
I had a serious spine injury, and was operated on at Salford Royal. …
The toilets are absolutely disgusting blood up the walls no loo paper and when reported at reception the engine engineer how was sat on his phone didn’t give a flying fart in space. Very poor hygiene ☹️ but the ward staff amazing 💞 …
Mr Baltatzis and his team including Jessica Shaw his amazing secretary who is brilliant are truly amazing. A true gentleman and excellent surgeon who saved my life at Salford Royal Foundation Trust. I am eternally grateful to you all. I …
Avoid, as much as catching the plaque! I go straight to Tafford General. At Salford – You can not drive up to A&E or park outside it, not like Trafford General. Salford you will have to dump you elderly or child outside and the drive around …
I turned up very early hours Saturday morning with side pain after being instructed to by 111, and by noon I was having my appendix out. The staff were amazing here despite my agony from reception. Nothing but praise for how I’ve been treated in my stay
Excellent service, got great news today after weeks of test.👍👍 …
Consultant and ward staff are fabulous. Once again discharge is a mess. Bed manager insisting I leave bed where I can lay down to sit up for hours before going home after abdominal surgery! And the junior doc will not give me the meds that …
One of the worst hospitals ever it’s not even a hospital it’s a place to mentally torture people and leave them in vulnerable situations. …
Attended Outpatient appointment here.
Received exemplary service and care from everyone including reception staff, nurses and doctors. Felt respected and looked after. Other NHS trusts should take a leaf out of their notebook.
Recently had to wait five hours in A&E before my wife was seen by a doctor. Had to wait a total of eight hours on a trolley, mainly in a corridor before being moved to a ward. The staff were friendly and hard working in a period of severe demand on services due to Bolton hospital closing their A&E department.
Great staff all round from receptionists to consultants. They take the time to listen even though they have a heavy schedule. I’d trust them with my life. I did 20 years ago and they are still looking out for me.
What a lovely hospital, spotlessly clean, very friendly and helpful staff, really impressed with it all.
After having had a very traumatic experience during a gastroscopy many years ago I was absolutely terrified of having to endure another one last week. All I can say is thank you so so much for your understanding, kindness, patience and …
