Write a ReviewHad my wisdom teeth removed under general anaesthetic yesterday, and I cannot speak highly enough of everyone I encountered while on the day surgery unit. Surgeon, anaesthetists, nurses, HCAs, reception… everyone was so utterly lovely and went completely above and beyond to make me comfortable and calm. Thank you so much!
All pretty good and efficient, but yet another computer system just gone on line so slow check in and info. BEWARE the trick car park. It is PAY & DISPLAY even though there are no signs to say so. Another dodgy car park operator.
Been there twice.
Once for a CT scan and another time for a day surgery. …
Easy and cheap parking. Walk-in x-ray (referred by GP). Very pleasant staff and happy atmosphere. Seen quickly – well within one hour. Excellent UK NHS!
Had a surgery yesterday to fit my curly toes, I was very anxious and panicky. The nurses helped me overcome this and a kind lady who was with me for my anaesthetic helped me calm down. All the staff I must say are very friendly and supportive. Positive atmosphere and would happily return.
Parking payment system is a complete joke. The machines are either not working or are cash only. This is the year 2022, who carries cash anymore !!
Finally found one that took a card but would only let me park for 1 hr. You need …
Eye treatment- excellent can’t fault it. Cafe- a whopping £3.25 for machine coffee??? That plus parking fees makes it extorting money out of sick people. Stop fleecing your patients!
I visited southlands hospital today for a minor op. I thought the service and the attention I received today was absolutely perfect. Nothing was too much from the surgeon the the nurses. I was in and out in one day
I received treatment in the day surgery unit on april 21st 2021 and was very impressed with the care. From the day unit nurses to the xray technicians and doctor in theatre, everyone was so kind, friendly and caring and did everything they could to make me comfortable and at ease.THANK YOU everyone. First class care
Absolutely wonderful 5 days. Fab. midwifery, nursing, catering, etc. staff. Loved my time there. Didnt want to leave ! Talking about Oct 1987.
I can only speak about the eye unit. The wheelchair access is good with a drop-off point right at the entrance. The treatment my mother has received has bee exemplary. Can’t leave without mentioning that, as usual the car parking price is extortionate. Sorry but I had to get that in.
Absolutely shocking service! Utter disregard and neglect to child’s health. Got told nothing wrong on last visit only to be told 7months later something was picked up! No contact and no support!
This is what all doctors surgeries and hospitals should be. I attended following on going investigation into my medical issues and found the staff on site to be really pleasant helping guide me to where i needed to go. The consultant saw me …
ABSOLUTELY FUMING!! My father who has had a stroke and struggles talking needs support. I was refused to attend with my father in ‘visual fields’, which as his carer, I SHOULD NEVER BE REFUSED. The member of staff refused to listen to me. treated me as if I was insignificant and unimportant.
Terrible for parking! Having never visited before, I was not aware how bad it was. The hospital it’s self was well organised, clean and staff were friendly. …
I have been to the Eye Clinic before, the reception staff are not helpful and don’t care about what patients say.
When you come for treatments you wait for hours, some people are treated quicker …
We are so lucky to have this amazing hospital. Where else can you see a consultant, have a blood test and an xray on the same day. The occupational team are all amazing. It’s like having friends who really care about you. They go over and above for their patients.
Treatment here has been exemplary. Outpatients only and minor surgery. Now has new opthalmology wing. There is no A&E. Downside is that as it is pay & display parking you can be feeding the meter all day.
One of the worst service by reception ,my wife came to her appointment at 8am ,the receptionist completely ignored her for until 9:30am and the people who came after her were called in ,also the doctor who treated her doesnt know what he was doing
X ray department fantastic, quick efficient service and staff fabulous… brilliant..
Every body was so helpful and kind and caring it was the friendest hospital I have been in if I need to go to hospital I hope it’s southland thank you for your care and help regards peter
The treatment my wife received has been excellent the surgeon and nurses are verry supportive and kind cant thank them enough.
Very efficient service and nice staff, the building could do with a update but then again I’d rather see the nhs money be spent on treatments.
Excellent attention for the most part, especially physiotherapy and occupational therapy. Phlebotomy people are nice, too.
It’s great. Friendly, welcoming and excellent nurses.
