I turned up to my appointment on time, then had to wait over half an hour. I was then half way through a procedure, and the nurse assisting my (excellent) consultant asked him how long he would be, literally whilst he has a knife in me! and …

I went to Little Aston for a hip replacement and I wanted the same surgeon who did my other hip at another hospital, Mr Amit Kotecha. I cannot fault this hospital. All the staff were amazing, professional, friendly and caring.

Mr Calladine, the eye surgeon is amazing. He has replaced both lens in my eyes so I no longer need reading or distance glasses.
He is a lovely gentleman and makes you feel at ease. No pain either. I cannot recommend him enough.

Absolutely ridiculous service. Been trying to my blood results for the past few weeks and the receptionist keeps transferring me to different secretaries but all seem to be out off office! Tried to call in mornings too but they don’t answer. Not worth paying for. Would rather take it somewhere else!

Can’t comment on the hospital itself or the treatment as we didn’t actually make our booked appointment due to the truly appalling administration processes and procedures. Suggest some standard operating procedures and managers who train their staff properly would be progressive for this lot!

It doesn’t matter how many times you leave a message with Inpatients, they will never call you back, I probably would’ve had a quicker result with the NHS and I’m paying almost £1000 per month for private healthcare. I don’t quite know how to get them to call me back I might have to just physically go in and see them.

My partner clearly needed assistance and I wasn’t allowed in the building with him without prior authorisation due to Covid restrictions which I understand but still not good. No one explained to us that ‘authorisation’ would be needed and no effort was made to see if it was possible to meet the need for me to be with him.

During the last few years this hospital has nose dived from patient-focused excellence to shabby, uncaring shambles. Endless waiting, staff standing around chatting and laughing, patients struggling. Spire Parkway it is not.
