Write a ReviewThanks so much for the booster jab volunteers to make the process so much easier. The waiting was well planned and the queue wasn’t that long either. Very organised and sanitary measures in place. The staff who vaccinated me was wearing …
The prime example of the utopia we would be living in the UK, would all the NHS have proper funding. It is the best hospital you can wish for, from the exceptional staff, to the processes, the attentive care you receive and the stellar …
I had to take my two year old son here twice on holiday. The nurses and doctors were exceptional. I am forever grateful to the nurses who blew bubbles and read to my son to distract him while they took his vitals. A nurse also brought him a …
I had to come here to have a cyst lanced. Had to go to the imaging dept where they ultrascaned my cyst watching what they were doing with a steroid needle.Very interesting to watch! Not too painful, and the radiologist was kind and cheerful …
I attended A&E with a head injury overnight and end to end was there for 7 hours. Took 4.5 hours to be seen (despite the fact had a deep wound and needed a CT scan). Receptionists rude and uninterested but that seems to be a standard in A&E …
Incredibly satisfied with my procedure in the Day Surgery Unit 😊 The whole team (nurses, consultants, anaesthetists) were absolutely fantastic and the whole morning was so well organised. I felt extremely well cared for so thank you so …
Arrived by ambulance with a dislocated hip. Took 4 hours to give me pain relief. Each time it ran out they had to find a doctor to sign off for more. Told my nurse that I needed to pee, she went on a break and didn’t reappear for 90 mins. I …
I gave birth and had all the pregnancy appointments here. Honestly, I really had a bad time.
Most of the staff ignored me a lot and they were quite rude. Had a severe bruise …
I want to thank you all the staff there starting A&E, on the 7th floor and doctors who are very professional. The hospital was very clean, good attention to the patient with moral support. I has have a surgery which makes me feel broken, but the good staff support there was really helpful to pass this moments.
Early pregnancy unit staff including consultants are terrible. Very unprofessional and very rude.
But …
Except for the odd few staff members and doctors we’ve met that have actually been lovely, 90% of the staff here are rude as hell. One time my partner was left waiting for the receptionist to finish her personal chat for nearly 10 minutes. …
Visited A&E to have my cast removed (broken wrist). I arrived at 6:40am on a bank holiday monday and was seen to very quickly. (X-ray, cast off and split provided) I left by 7:30am. Really friendly and helpful staff. Thank you!
This is the worst hospital like any other hospital from NHS. They are totally understaffed. The staff are extremely rude and abusive. They won’t treat you if they don’t like you. We need to get rid of the NHS and start privatising our …
The A&E department honestly have the worst customer service you can imagine.
Rude staff who seem to not bother with providing any updates, answers to any member of the Public. …
I do not get why this hospital deserved so many one-star feedbacks. Maybe because people became more selfish and forgot to be grateful that we are lucky someone else would sacrifice their own health, family even well-being to save our …
Had to attend due to concussion first day or junior doctor strikes- was preparing to wait 12+ hours – was actually seen/ had a CT scan and sent home within 3 hours. All the staff were so kind and efficient- so grateful for the NHS at these difficult times. Thank you UCLH A&E staff!!!
I had to go to A&E last night, understanding the crisis the NHS is going through with the lack of support from the government I was ready for a long wait. But surprisingly I was seen by two doctors, had two x-rays and a ecg within two …
I came to UCH on Friday 14th April 2023 to see my orthopaedic surgeon Mr Witt. The staff in the X-ray department are very friendly and made sure I was at ease. Even though they had cancelled my appointment due to the junior doctors strike, …
This hospital is 1st class and I consider myself privileged to be a patient of Mr Markakis and his amazing team. My bariatric surgery exceeded my expectations and I felt like I was in a private hospital. Everybody I encountered was friendly …
Wish I could give less than one star. Staff were disgustingly rude and absolutely no help whatsoever. Nurse didn’t even ask me about my symptoms before deciding she knew what was wrong and patronising me that I should just go home and take …
Just a small thing but do your receptionist get any training customer care? – I think not. I arrived at reception in chemo. Smiled said good morning gave my name and date of birth and time of appointment No response no eye contact. Kept …
Came over on Wednesday evening for a meniscus issus.
Indeed my right one had been removed in 2014 and now that’s the left one’s turn. …
Great service! The nurses Emma and Andrea were both lovely and caring. I brought my laptop and books expecting to be there for hours but the process (consultation, sample analysis and treatment) was surprisingly fast. Thank you 🙂
It was my pleasure to have been seen by an extremely lovely, kind, patient and professional clinician today – Mr Christopher GRIFFITHS. UCH hospital, staff and patients are very lucky to have a person as wonderful as Mr Griffiths.

A&E night team is a well oiled machine, calm, professional, everyone from the receptionist, triage nurse, staff and charge nurses, security, porters, cleaners, doctors,. radiographers, every interaction (stabed in chest/broken hand) was …
Came to A&E with my father as his disk herniated therefore he couldn’t sit, go to the toilet and his nerves were damaged. He sat for more than two hours in the waiting area. Everyone who came after him have already been checked and are …
Waiting time is ridiculous with people not having where to sit
No privacy. When you register for admission, it’s in almost public. You are just a number they don’t give you a chance to speak …
Great hospital. Been under the care of Professor Haddad and his team for over 20 years. Caring empathetic and down to earth. Great surgeon and a lovely person. His secretary Miss Felix is always available and ready to help.

The maternity ward is a bloody disaster..worst place for a mother and newborn to be. The midwives are highly inexperienced and have the worst shameless attitude. They are criminals….always rude and incapable of providing any support to …
I am so shocked about the way I was treated in this hospital. Doctor martha was so professional and took my symptoms seriously! She went through my medical history and referred me to the right department to be checked. Usually when I go to …
We walked in off the street, following an emergency. We cannot thank the A&E Nurses, Doctors and Neurology Consultant enough. The treatment we were given was exceptional.
Not fit for perpose and displayed a complete lack of duty of care to its patients. The lack of intelligence of James Watson the on call GP was incredible. Displayed zero understanding of the situation and fraudulently filled out the nhs …
Not fit for purpose. James Watson if you didn’t want to work you shouldn’t have become a general practitioner. You have a duty of care. I went in with black and white fungus growing in my ear along with a 50% ruptured ear drum and a fungal …
Basement: Therapies/Physio Department.
Vanessa, an older black woman at reception has gone out of her way to be rude and antagonistic at every interaction. She sours both, first and last impression …
UCLH A&E used to be top notch, but today I’m horrified, my wife’s name was bastardized (Christina is way too complicated name to pronounce you see, doctors nowadays are illiterate) Christian was called and after 30min or so I’ve enquired …
Some excellent departments. Haematology, Mr. Raul Patel for knees. If you want orthotics then forget this place. …

Went to A&E for getting my ear infection checked
The staff were very polite and warm, and I got my prescription in less than an hour. …
The doctors and clinical staff are okay but otherwise everything else is in total disarray. You can never get through to a department because they don’t bother answering the phone. Many departments seem to have the do not disturb mode left on so calls always go immediately to voicemail.
My review is based on a recent visit to UCLH for an operation my son had. The staff (doctors, nurses, carers etc) were all very friendly. My son did not feel nervous or tense at all, mostly due to the kindness of the staff and the care they …
I have recently visited the A&E department of the UCHL, this Tuesday. I cannot have enough praising words for the whole medical staff who has so well taken care of me. I apologize for not remembering all the names, but Dr. Barbaros(I hope I …
Very professional and friendly staff. Doctor Galica from Emergency Department was super helpful and went extra mile to find the cause of my visit. Thank you!
Went to the emergency for my girlfriend because she had a infection on her eardrum. I knew she was in desperate need of antibiotics but they kept us waiting for over 6 hours without success…people with twisted ankles get more help over an infection over here…
Great staff and great hospital! Food is amazing and views from bedside are incredible. Care is excellent!
Came here for my partner. We’ve been treated very nice by everyone. First time we came to this hospital and I can say that is a very big difference between this one and the previous we went. All the staff was very happy to help and did not wait very long to be seen by a doctor.
Nurses and Doctors did my fathers operation were fantastic. However, after that point it went down hill. My mother was told she would be called after my father finished having his operation which was due to finish around 2/3 pm. Nobody …

Arrived at A&E with my daughter having swollen, painful, infected big toe and foot, barely able to walk. Only 10 minute wait for triage nurse then 30 minute wait for treatment with one of the most entertaining nurses we have ever met. Her …
Friendly reception staff, triaged promptly & politely. Waited for a couple of hours to see a Doctor. Seemed well organised, clean and calm given all of the chaos with high priority cases given priority
A huge shout out to the UCH A&E. I had a bad fall, hitting my head on concrete. I was taken to the UCH, had a CT scan, ECG, X-rays, and was monitored for 12 hours to assure I did not have concussion. The doctor and the nurse who took care …
Went to A&E and all staff were patient and very friendly. Thank you for all of your amazing work to everyone who works here!
The staff there is awesome and waiting time was minimal! I came in to a&e with a suspected rib fracture, in less than 2.5 hours they registered me in, nurse took notes of my symptoms, a doctor saw me, got the radiologist to run an X Ray, and gave the diagnosis. Was expecting long hours just to get visited.
I was with my grandchildren when we found out they had ring worms, and we took them to the emergency room. IT WAS HORRIBLE, kids couldn’t even go outside and eat anything, we spent about 6-7 hours in the emergency room just so they could …
I gave birth 2nd time at UCLH and this had been the worst experience ever! It happened during the covid restriction in 2021 and I was eventually taken in for emergency c section after not dilating enough. Labour ward staff were amazing but …

Vicious circle – Jan 2023 – today I had an appt at Rhinology who were prompt, friendly and efficient. The problem is I saw them nearly 2 years ago and they referred me to Sleep Clinic in May 2021. I have not seen a single doctor at Sleep …
What a fantastic experience. From reception, to the nursing staff and the x-ray department, compassionate, QUICK and very friendly. For the first time in my life I’ve had a such a good experience with A&E.
I waited in the emergency department for over 4 hours and a doctor will see me. I had a dislocated ankle…. I had a pain, no one was interested if I needed anything for pain. Arrogant people at the reception. People were called to the …
The triage nurse said wait time is at least 2 hours. (Hint: that means between 2 hours and infinity.) I’ve waited 4 hours and nothing is moving. NHS guidelines say that 4 hours should never be exceeded. Well, here, a wait of 12 hours is …
Worst service, worst hospital, worst experience, worst everything, been waiting for 9 hours just to see the doctor. The staff was very rude and mean. Literally one of the worst experiences. The dr was good he could help me but i think this doctor is working in the wrong place
I love food at UCH, fresh and looks really appetising, only cost £5.30, for meatballs in sauce, jacket pktato and cauliflower, great !
Absolutely amazing care from nurses to sugerons
From beginning to end of my surgrey!
Thank you everyone!
Although the waiting times were very difficult to bear and my surgery was 24 hours after it was supposed to be, the nurses and doctors were fantastic. They were empathetic and one of the midwives who was also an anaesthetist was so sweet to …
This hospital is a decent place, I was born here. The cleanliness of the children’s ward is not good, there were crumbs on the floor and it didn’t look clean. I do like that u get seen rather quick. The scenery is nice and relaxing as there is a sensory wall will rainbow bubbles flowing. The staff are nice.
London worst hospital I’ve experienced, treatment and appointment problems,
What I experienced is too much to …
After visiting Newham hospital and after having a bad experience I should say, the service I received in University college hospital is exceptional. Quick and very satisfying. Thankyou so much.
Such an amazing hospital. Been to both x-Ray and fracture departments recently, staff are absolutely amazing and I was seen really quickly both times. Even through a+e. We are so lucky to have the NHS ❤️
My daughter had her adenoids and tonsils removed here and I could say this is by far the best hospital . The staff and doctors are so professional. The hospital is super clean and the environment is so friendly. An Extended thanks to The …
I’m no longer under UCLH care now but wanted to express thanks for their relentless support for me in A&E, intensive care, resus and ambulatory care units. Their kindness and care helped me keep going. One wonderful nurse in particular with …
The waiting time was far too long!!! I checked in at 5pm and I was finally seen by a doctor at 1am and then after she had consulted about my case with other doctors, at 2.30am. I only left the hospital at 3am. So in total, I was in A&E for …
Arrived at the emergency at before 12pm at night, the waiting time is more than 6 hours. There is no such thing called efficiency.
Thank you for the great care that I received,13/02/2023, after been brought in by Ambulance, from Holborn tube station, could not have been in better hand’s,even though I was seen by different health professionals,I am truly great full.Thank you again.
This place has caused me so much suffering. Refused to help me when I was 8. Won’t take responsibilty and it’s made life in work and education a nightmare. Please demolish place, put the “managers” on summary criminal trials and build something for the people by the people.
I went in with tonsillitis to the AnE it was very quick I was seen by the nurse working an hour. The staff was lovely very kind and accommodating I felt very looked after
Absolutely awful experience with one of your receptionists. Will not name and shame on here but no empathy whatsoever, no name badge and would not give us her name when asked. Extremely rude and impolite from the off when we approached …
I don’t know why it has just 3.2 stars, I have been seen today and all went so smoothly, receptionist very nice, I waited only 1 hour and a half- in other hospitals 1-2 years ago I waited 6-8 hours.I looked on Google and it appears that …
Absolutely disgusting behaviour from staff that treated my daughter for abdominal pains. Get your staff training. They obviously do not no how to talk or treat people.I will make sure that everyone I no here’s about it. And make them aware of your staff’s behaviour before they choose to attend.
