Write a ReviewWent to the urgent care centre today. The woman on Reception is SO rude. If PALS is reading this she needs to go on a Customer Services course. My sister had been sent there via 111 and had booked an appointment for her but the rude …
I had been booked in for tests and a scan .The staff were amazing and as soon as l arrived they got to work, scan blood test and consultant and results all within 3 hours.
Well done NHS staff .
I have had quite a few appointments for my children either at the childrens outpatients for bloods or with ENT and I’ve always been very satisfied with the service and short waiting time. Today my son had a tonsillectomy surgery and all …
Arrived at 4:00
I spoke to my GP and gave her my symptoms like blurred vision ongoing cloudy vision, upper sharp abdominal pain, loss of appetite or feeling hungry immediately …
Feb 2023
Ophthalmology outpatient appointment. Did not have to wait more than a couple of minutes, which was very good. All staff kind and helpful. Not too busy in …
I had my tonsils removed here in December 2019. The only reason I’ve given them 2 stars instead of one is because whilst I was there, the staff were friendly and helpful and everything was clean and comfortable. I was very nervous before …
My father had surgery here and received excellent care; a great comfort to know he was in the good hands from the moment he was admitted to when he was discharged.
I went for an iron infusion in the MuDAS unit. The staff are so friendly, kind, and talk to you. They spend time with you and check in on you regularly so you feel safe and secure. …
Put the wrong time on appointment card and yet again a waste of diesel money and no cashiers in to refund it even though i am on esa bk again and redrive all that way in 2wks. Toilets r vile
I waited to be seen by a doctor for my 4 years old I waited more than 3 hours. Not sure exactly what priority kids get. I am really saddened by the service. I absolutely appreciate what they do but for a 4 years old to wait for more than 3 …
An admin assistant cancelled my patient transport ambulance booking so I was then unable to get to my urgent lung capacity test appointment. This assistant didnt let me know. I found out just an hour before my appointment when I rang the …
Attended for a CT scan today and found every employee to be polite, helpful and positive. A refreshing experience thanks.
I visited the Phlebotomy department today. The staff are brilliant. Great service. The facilities have improved significantly and the process is slick. Well done Team NHS Wycombe!
Nurses very kind, doctors always willing to discuss. We feel very fortunate mum went to this hospital.
Building 2/10, Catering 2/10, Ward 2A Cardiac 10/10. From the ground up this facility must be hard to beat, the consultants are spot on but the nursing staff have to be seen in action to be fully appreciated, every single member is …
Its simply just rubbish! The whole building itself and calling its self a hospital is absolutely pointless. For all the incidents iv been here for both myself, friends and family we have always had to travel else where to the likes of …
Getting in with Cardiology has been a pain, but once in with them and under their care, they are very good, the Dr’s are very good and Dr Qureshi spent around 30 minutes talking to me on an NHS appointment. Secretaries are busy but good and mostly compassionate. I would rate 5 stars if the waiting times were not so long.
Quite literally the worst place I have ever been to receive care. The main priority seems to be to no care if possible. I’ve been 3 times, twice after calling 111 and being told to ask to see GP as I’d recently moved to the area, all to no …
Staff at the urgent treatment desk with red and black hair is extremely rude and has such attitude when talking to you. My sister was fainted and she didn’t seem at all bothered.
Gyn department is wonderful.
Thank you for your care.
Just had my routine mammogram at Wycombe hospital and it was all so efficient. Greeted on arrival at reception and directed to waiting area. Within 5 minutes, I was called through for my mammogram. Saw an absolutely lovely mammographer, …
I have just had shoulder surgery as a day patient and cannot praise the staff enough. They were so caring and absolutely brilliant, so were the theatre staff. Thank you so much.
Outstanding hospital and staff members. I am impressed.
Excellent service by the staff that were seeing a 94 year old man that I had taken to discuss his loss of hearing
We had a paediatric appointment for our one year old daughter that proved to be disappointing in many ways.
Firstly, the Hospital is 20 miles away from our place, but we took it anyway as …
The nurse who delt with my problem was very friendly and helpful. Thank you.
Review based on waiting time, not service.
I was a walk-in patient, after brief chat with nurse was advised to get back in 2 hours for the appointment with doctor. Up to the time of appointment was in …
This occured in January but I’ve only really started to think about the care I recieved with my first baby. Firstly, the black lady (best description, apologies if this offends anyone) who sits on reception is incredibly rude and not very …
Wycombe children’s outpatients ward were absolutely unfaultable and amazing today. Did my daughters bloods for the first time and although it took a few goes due to being dehydrated they were fab. Daughter left smiling and mum left a lot less stressed.
I went through the 111 process which was very quick and was referred to the Urgent Treatment Centre. An appointment was made by the 111 clinician and there were only 3 people in the waiting area to ensure distance. Seen very quickly, had …
Why is it that you are told to make an appointment that you have to rush to make. Only to be waiting over 30 over that time. All with someone unwell …
Yesterday I had my hip replaced by Dr Nicholas Beattie. The staff who assisted with the procedure ranging physiotherapy to bringing me the meals was 100 %. We are very fortunate to have the enviable NHS and it is imperative we look after all the staff. I would like to say a big thank you to everyone who looked after me xx
I was made an appointment by 111, for 4pm arrived on time but told I’d have to wait for an hour as they were behind.
What’s the point of appointments if they’re not adhered to. …
I would like to say a massive big THANK YOU, to Mr. Holford and the whole team, (including Alice and Shelley) for the wonderful care and attention I recieved when admitted for day surgery, also huge THANKS to ALL the day surgery unit …
Mixed experience but the good outweighs the lousy! Went in as directed by the Sainsbury’s pharmacist, to request for prescription for my asthma medicines. Was almost shown the door by a lady. But a very kind lady called Ms. Sue at the …
Unexpectedly, I needed cardiologist assessment last week at this ICU. I was touched by the kindness and care of the staff who looked after me. I felt in safe hands and experienced a lovely spirit of personal care from the nurses and …
I cannot express how absolutely amazing all the staff are at the Breast Unit. I was amazed at how kind everyone is and how the whole process just works. 10/10 for all your staff 👏 …
I had to go there yesterday and can honestly say the lady I saw was amazing! I wish I knew her name. I’ve had a severe reaction to insect bites and she was so helpful and gave the best advice thank you so much 😊 …
I think this is one of the best hospitals in the area. I have had operations in 3 different ones but high Wycombe is by far the best.
So clean and the staff are amazing. Sitting here now and an elderly woman is …
My mother is currently in Ward8/9 following a stroke, I cannot tell you how amazing the nursing staff have treated her, from the cleaning staff and Porters to the Nurses and Doctors they have always been professional and truly caring. I …
Doesn’t even deserve 1 star. The care that my grandad received in the stroke ward was absolutely disgusting! The worse hospital I know and the staff where rude and the neglect he recieved was vile! a Hospital that doesn’t care for people!
Surgeon and his staff were all lovely, ward 12A nurses however need to communicate more with other departments, carers, & patients. My mum sat an entire day after being discharged waiting for someone to get her transport home, she …
Had my gallbladder out here. The care as it always in the NHS was outstanding. The older I get the more I realise how blessed we are to have access to this amazing service and the amazing people who work every day to keep us healthy. Thank you NHS!
Staff are great. A&E closes 15 mins early at 7.45. Car park for A&E on right as you go in. Can get confusing if you go left…
The nurse I saw was lovely made me feel at ease….
Could not fault the treatment that I received in the Day Surgery Unit. From the moment I checked in until discharge I received professional, friendly care. I was kept informed of everything that was happening. My procedure was performed …
Had a minor stroke last week and I can’t praise all the staff at Wycombe Hospital Stroke Unit highly enough. I received immediate and exemplary service. Thank you all. This includes the two paramedics who got to me in 15 minutes and acted with efficient, friendly professionalism.
Slacking, Always go private if possible as NHS are making more and more mistakes as time goes by. Incompetent behaviour very unprofessional. Showing a lack of compassion, care, conscience and mercy. When you raise complaints and concerns …
I visit the outpatient department here about every six months because of a chronic condition. Clearly, the people are overworked here due to low staffing levels. However they will always do their best for you and are very compassionate …
Clean, very nice staff, but because of the shortage of staff, I think, long waiting time
I visited the breast clinic and was most impressed by the service. This is a ‘one stop shop’ that ensures that all tests required will be performed on the day of the appointment within 3-4hours. The staff were without exception very …
We came to see Dr Brar here who WRONGLY diagnosed and prescribed my 2 year old child. It could’ve been fatal if I hadn’t also contracted the same virus and was able to diagnose it based on the symptoms I had of which I caught from him. …
I wanted to congratulate all the staff who were recently involved in my day surgery. The admittance was efficient, the information given from the various members of the clinical team was first class as was the surgery performed by Mr …
I had laparoscopy surgery yesterday and was looked after from start to finish. Staff all very friendly and made me feel comfortable.
just had surgery and received perfect care in high Wycombe 12 a ward. I must admit that kitchen didn’t impressed me whatsoever, but it is not restaurant after all – isn’t it? Special thanks to Miss. Renata, who I found specially helpful …

Not good . Had a ENT appointment 2 years ago . They cancelled and didn’t tell me . Received another appointment ,was cancelled due to covid was meant to have telephone consultation , that never happened. Now 2 years on just got an appointment !
I had a fall and lost my balance so they thought I had had a heart attack . Cause I had one heart beat missing so Aylesbury hospital sent me to Wycombe hospital check over nothing wrong . I found this place was lovely to visit the nurse and doctor went out of there way to help me it was spotless clean . Mad me feel at home.
Not a beautiful building but when you need them they are there and offer a first class service. Yes you have to wait but that is to be expected. I don’t mind waiting at all and have found their consultants to be excellent.
I’ve just returned from my 6-week check up with Mr Hagana. As usual, he was efficient and encouraging, not showing a hint of the busy life he leads.
I first saw him when I had a very painful knee which, after an x-ray, showed I …
A third world shack, over staffed, liberal on the truth!
Had to travel over 20 miles for a simple 10 minute apointment which only went over a diagnosis given 2 months earlier and did not carry out the treatment …
Terrible experience arrived at 2:15 with a broken finger, I was not seen by anyone until 7:20. Also after waiting five hours the nurses came out and apologised that they were due to finish there shift so asked if we could come back the next day as they were not going to be able to see us. What has our wonderful NHS come too.
Once you know the layout and where to park it’s easy But it can be a very confusing layout on a first visit. The staff have always treated me brilliantly.
I have just had day surgery to remove my gall bladder at WGH; the operation was performed by the lovely Mr Shaun Appleton. All in all my experience was very good. The Day Surgery unit is extremely organized and well run. Plenty of …
My husband went in for plastic surgery after cancer removal on his face they took good care of him and made him feel as comfortable as you can be at a hospital. Staff friendly enough always there and very helpful.
The X Ray department were very kind to me after a mix up with an appointment – my fault, not theirs!
Staff at Wycombe Hospital are kind, considerate and caring; a compassionate environment. I have visited the Cardiac and Stroke Receiving Unit and Loakes Theatres and I am confident to say that I would recommend these services to a friend or family.
My God 3 hours of wait for a 5 mins check up and diagnosis. Even then had to wait for another 39 mins for xray to arrive.
Not sure if this public healthcare model is working. The waiting times are worse …
I was seen quickly and was very well treated when I went to the Outpatient department to see Mr. Lintott the vascular surgeon. The scan was done in a very professional way and the staff communicated with me brilliantly I would highly recommended this department to anyone seeking excellent treatment.
At minor injuries unit….Kept us waiting for an hour and a half without any information about skipping the queue! Because of we are not British?!? Those who came later, but been called before us! When we asked the reception about this, she …
Don’t bother to book a blood test appointment. You’ll end up in a long queue with all other patients without booking.
Had a procedure in plastics today with no complaints. Staff were very nice and accommodating and couldn’t ask for more .. Thankyou
Very old hospital. Good staff. Needs replacing really. Obviously built a long time ago. Good cardiology and for general outpatient clinics. No A & E but a minor injury drop in clinic.
Thank you to the amazing staff at ward 8 for taking such good care of my father. We are forever indebted to you all and truly recognise your efforts and hard work. Thank you. …
The NHS doesnt always get the best Press but today I had an MRI scan I was truly scared of having as I extremely Chlostrophobic. The two nurses running the facility put me totally at ease and talked to me during the time I was in the tube …
Was there for day surgery after the care was ok but known it to be better in the past probably because covid 19 procedure has a lot to do with the preparation before and after surgery
Recently had a surgery in the hospital and I was very pleased with the entire procedure. The staff and doctors are really nice. We are Lucky to have the NHS in the UK.
Dr Hameed is one of the worst doctors i have ever met, not sure where he got his qualifications but was no use whatsoever!
Staff & day inpatient treatment excellent but need a bit more thought on more comprehensive signs. Early morning admissions for Trauma & Orthopaedics has no signs & there is no receptionist
