Thank you to all the staff at Westmorland General Hospital. Visiting from Australia and couldn’t have asked for better, more thorough care. Special thanks to Dr Sheppy (please excuse if my spelling is incorrect) I was given first class care when the staff were having a busy day yet not once did their dedication waver.

On holliday from Australia, I had doubts if my wife, who had fallen on her wrist, could be helped. I was very wrong. Every member of the staff there were friendly and extremely helpful. Could not have asked for more. My wife’s wrist was attended to and everything was explained to us. Congratulations to a terrific team.

Went with my husband who has Parkinsons. Saw Dr.Floyd. This is the first time since his diagnosis5 years ago that a doctor has taken so much time to explain things clearly to us. So patient and so empathetic. It felt the most productive hospital visit we have ever had.

Had to use the urgent treatment unit and xray dept. All staff fantastic and efficient. Great job guys.

Went today to Ward 7 for a procedure. What a pleasure all the staff were. Made you comfortable, kept the conversations upbeat with myself and the other patients on the ward. Professional and timely. In at 7.30am, tests and op done and finished by 10.30am and having a much needed cup of tea. Home with feet up at 3.30. Thanks all.

I arrived at 5.45pm on Saturday with my son who’d had a bad fall off his bmx. We were seen quickly, went through the X-ray process quickly and got patched up quickly. All staff were incredibly friendly, very knowledgeable and very caring. My son received 1st class care from an excellent service. Thank you!

Elective hospital, part of Morecambe Bay Health Trust. Attended Cardiology clinic with family who were very well looked after throughout their procedure.

I went for some stomach pains and the service was great, just a long waiting time. Had to wait 3 hours on a quiet day! Great service, just a tad disappointed in the wait time. Xx

Friendly staff, nurses on the pain management ward are caring and thoughtful. If you are unfortunate enough to need this service I recommend this hospital.

Was dreading attending but brilliant endoscopy team made it much less stressful. Bunch of helpful relaxed staff. Let me know what was happening throughout. Cystoscopy not recommended as a past time but if you have to have one I would highly recommend the team!

Whilst on holiday an emergency dentist was needed for myself. Alison was the best dentist I have ever had, she was so friendly and professional. I’ve been going to this hospital now for some time whilst having dialysis. I was scared about the going the first time but once I met the staff, all of whom are very dedicated and made the whole process less stressful. Excellent, caring, helpful staff. I would really appreciate being able to use my card to pay for parking rather than desperately scratching around for change in my purse, when I am upset and stressed.

My wife had torn ligaments in her wrist from a fall. Thier minor injuries unit, dealt with everything very promptly and efficiently, we were in and out within 3 hours, and that included x-rays (it was orthopaedic clinic day too!) so not so bad

I had to go and got dropped off early, the food available for visitors was lovely. The hospital was clean and tidy. I can see why so many choose to come here for treatment.

I went for a hearing test and they couldn’t have been more helpful when guiding me to different rooms. The staff were very kind and patient with me.

Parking is poorly thought out. Suggest a pay on exit. Otherwise it’s what you’d expect.

Nice bright building, friendly staff and lots of parking.
