A few months ago, I took my elderly mother to the A&E because of her sudden angina on an emergency at 6.30pm. The paramedics who came in were absolutely brilliant. They did what they had to do and advised that since her BP was not …
Poor care experienced by my husband, in fact a lack of care, empathy & respect. Leaving a poorly cancer patient alone in A&E for 18.5 hrs without seeing a doctor & having to communicate with rude staff doesn’t help the worst scenario a family face. This certainly isn’t an outstanding hospital
Absolute joke…..
I went there 3 months ago to have a catheter removed as it was blocked and I could pass urine. 10 hour wait to then be told another 9 hours. I told them I was …
My nan was In Bevan Court 1 for a week before passing away. I cannot stress how brilliant all of the staff were from the way they cared for her and also the way they cared for us her family too. You do an amazing job and we cannot thank you enough!
Went to A&E with suspected Stroke. Fast tracked through A&E and had treatment and tests. Staff were amazing, competent and friendly, and kept me informed of all that was happening. Cannot thank them enough. Hospital is clean throughout and I can only award them 5 stars
Shocking level of care, nurses are barely competent, nobody talks to each other to say what’s been done/going on, kept a 10yo in hospital for a WEEK before even getting an MRI & then they scanned his legs?? He’s got a fractured elbow you meffs. If your kids ever need to go the hospital then just take them to Alder Hey
Despite the hospital being extremely busy the staff are lovely. I came in Saturday to a&e and all the staff are so kind and compassionate and very thourough. My nearest hospital is aintree but wouldn’t go there again as you are treated so …

From my admittance,to discharge ,four days later,I could not fault any aspect of my stay.
The friendliness and expertise of everybody made my stay bearable.
Staff and volunteers are helpful always plenty of parking for disabled and disabled are given free parking only downside is all the smokers outside the entrance
Poor poor hospital, discharged my 83 yo mum with water and chest infections causing her to be readmitted within 5 days with multiple organ failure. Nursing staff don’t seem to care at all. Hope I never have to go here again
Following on from surgery for an open fracture, I came to Whiston to have a split skin graft. Long story short, the whole procedure was done in a day, I was home by 7pm! Agata the surgeon, and the plastics team took good care of me and I …
Had to attend A&E last night with my sister and despite a packed waiting room and lengthy corridors, every individual member of staff, without fail, treated her with a calmness and respect she really needed. Thank you for your dedication and hard work under circumstances many of us would crumble.
Went for an ultra sound today and the young lady who did it was absolutely amazing . Such a kind , considerate lovely girl . I hope she sees this , even more so I hope her seniors see it .

What a disgrace Whiston hospital is from the patients smoking at the entrance to the nurses smoking around the corner of the building. I’m not sure if the lack of care is rife throughout the hospital but recent reviews would suggest that it …

Waiting time outrageous, I waited 12 hours in total to be seen last night (9pm – 9am). I was unwell, shattered and frustrated inside. Not good at all! Felt worse leaving through stress! It’s no fault of the staff they are over worked its just the government needs to sort the NHS out! It’s a shame!
