YDH is a credit to the NHS.
Even at the must difficult of times the compassion and professionalism shown is beyond reproach. You can even park easily now!!
We’ve had 2 A&E experiences, and 1 maternity experience at Yeovil. Every time we’ve been, the staff have been friendly, genuinely caring, and very efficient in their roles. Don’t have a fault to make. Thank you all
Went to YDH A&E they failed yet again and ended up going to musgrove the attitude and care from YDH is way below par sadly if you require safe care take the trip to musgrove

Yes, we had to wait our time for our son to be seen in A&E but considering the number of people these guys have to deal with, even on a mid-week evening, is beyond what we might comprehend. Big-up to all of you for what you do and a …
I was referred by my GP today with a curiously painful knee. From the moment I hobbled in through the A&E doors, the service I received could not have been better – anywhere. It was busy, not hectic, but everyone; receptionists, triage …
Visited the Emergency 1 week ago, arrived at 11.30am, and had to wait there until 19pm to get the results and consultation to a doctor.Otherwise, after all, my issues was solved. Thanks all.
Went to day theatre on the 28th May. Helpful and professional staff, put me at my ease and throughout the whole experience I could not fault them. Posting because I have heard negative comments about this hospital; my experience was quite the opposite and all the staff I came across are a credit to our NHS.

We had a long wait, but that’s because the Neurologist is very thorough & when it was our appointment ( 50 minutes late) he didn’t rush, he had all the time for us he’d bestowed on those patients before, so can’t grumble.
Staff from greeting, to nurses are all very friendly.
Fantastic staff from the moment you walk in. The doctors and nurses in 8 B and 7 A were so kind and attentive at all times. Morale throughout the hospital is really high. Congratulations to all.
I cannot speak too highly of this hospital. My husband, who suffers with dementia, was brought in to A & E and from the moment he arrived, with barely a wait, to the time he was discharged almost a fortnight later he was treated with kindness, compassion and care. Excellent treatment. Thank you.
On 16th April I had to go into Day Surgery for a transesophageal echocardiogram. If I could award six stars I would. The staff were friendly, kind, thoughtful and very professional; and I felt absolutely safe and in very good hands. They …

In to A&E on Monday with what turned out to be a torn tendon in my shoulder. A faultless level of care, diagnosis and demeanour from all five wonderful staff who tended to me. Very proud that we have such outstanding professionals in the NHS there on call 24/7. Thank you.

Absolutely disgusting. I have DNAR on my records and someone resuscitated me and now they are trying to change the paperwork lying to cover their backs legally.
Just come out of Yeovil hospital after a 5 day stay. The nurses were great and felt well cared for. The only let down I felt was being kept informed of what was going on As I was given 3.different leaving days. A 5 minute chat each day about medication and what’s going on would be great
My dad was in hospital from Monday – Friday. It didnt look like he’d been washed properly or assisted to be shaved. Now i know you’re short staffed but this is pure neglect. My dad has always been a well kept man and when we saw him this …

Would like to share that everybody was fantastic during my visit on Sunday. The moment I got to A&E my details were taken and I was seen within 20 minutes. From then on everything was fast moving and each doctor/nurse I saw were extremely friendly and useful. Thank you for sorting me out!
The nurses and staff were amazing, put me at ease and even had a laugh. The place was busy with plenty to do but everyone had time for me, no rush just professionals, very impressed, especially with some EU staff, first class.
Dirty
Unhelpful reception staff
Medical professionals are better but not by much. …
I have had 2 gastroscopies in the Endoscopy Department. The staff were totally professional but also so sympathetic and understanding during what is not an entirely comfortable experience. I cannot praise them highly enough. We even managed a laugh or two. This is the NHS at its very best.
I was taken to YDH yesterday (29/10/18) morning after falling from my horse and I could not have received better or more prompt attention. I was seen straightaway and scans and x-rays followed soon thereafter. When so much criticism is levelled at our remarkable NHS we should hear more of the Good News stories.
A huge thank you to the staff today after my colonoscopy. Excellent care from the moment I arrived , through the procedure and my after care
Great A and E team at Yeovil really kind and caring the whole way through. More funding needed for NHS !
