Brought my son in on New Year’s Eve with a broken arm. I can only say the whole experience from check in to discharge was outstanding! We were in and out in 3hours and all doctors and nurses made our encounter so easy and caring. We were …
Took my husband to A&E and was so impressed and had my expectations exceeded in every way. He was having some kind of reaction and they took everything seriously right away. Even observed things after he had taken his first dose of meds …
Over a year ago, I gave birth to my son at Barnet Hospital,Victoria Ward. It was a long and hard night labour, but thanks to the kind and patient staff at the Barnet Birth Centre, I remember it as a beautiful memory. I would like to thank …
Took my wife for an appointment at the Barnet fracture clinic this afternoon. We allowed an extra hour as the hospital car park seems to suffer from a shortage of parking spaces. …
They are the worst hospital that anyone can ever go to. I took my daughter there the other day, they sent her home saying she has tonsillitis with nothing wrong with her tonsils then I take her to royal free and she has pneumonia. I went …
We had mixed experience during our visit for pregnancy delivery. For all the appointments for pregnancy you should use only the side entrance beside the bustop. All the patients and visitors are checked for temperature and all the entrances …
Waited over 5 hours with baby who has a rash that doesn’t disappear. Could be something serious but hasn’t been looked at yet. Another mother came in with a 5 month old baby completely unresponsive and clearly very I’ll. they took over 1 …
Called NHS 111 as my daughter was unwell. We were asked to go to the Barnet Urgent Care centre with an appointment of 830pm. …
Absolutely awful

A&E receptionist that I saw at 11:45am today was wonderful, registered me straight away. I was triaged pretty quickly,
My blood was taken after that and I had a cannula in my arm. …
Good caring staff but obviously they are understaffed and they all have tried their best to care for each patient admitted. The waiting time is long unless you face life threatening disease.
MINUS 5 STARS.
Attended A&E for severe pelvic pain & UTIs which has been going on since and operation I had in December. Was previously scanned after waiting 12 hours. This …
We have been today at the maternity unit and the only thing I can say, it was an absolute disgrace. It seems like no one of the members of staff give a flying f2ck regards the patient wellbeing. Been sitting with an 8 months pregnant for 8 …
Visited A&E for difficulty breathing and chest pain, so called Dr Mehrdad Abuakbar just brushed me off and was so rude, he said that my problem is not his problem and refused to take the needle out of my arm after taking blood, stating that …
My 98 year old mother was taken to A and E. When I tried to find out information in the coming days, the rudeness I experienced on the telephone was unbelievable. Not only to me but also to my partner and to my mother’s care home staff. …
What a shambles. First and last visit. Please avoid and visit another A&E. Arrived on a Tuesday at A&E at 3pm with piercing pains in right side and did not see a doctor for 7.5 hours. I was then told bloods would be half an hour by the …
Was in severe abdominal pain. Spent 12 hours waiting from 8pm and finally left at 8am. I missed all my medications which are a must to take everyday at correct times. All I had done was bloods and xray, still have no idea what happened with …
Very Shameful. For children we have to wait 8 hours are you serious but proven that is serious. Only 1 Dr available for 30 children and that Dr badly wasting time sitting here and there talking personal with their colleagues hardly 2 …
If I could give zero stars I would. The A and E service is disgusting. Not only is priority not given to patients with concussion and broken bones, but they are made to sit for 7 hours without updates whilst people who just need …
4 weeks ago my daughter went to A&E requiring emergency treatment.
I just would like to say her treatment has been fantastic. A&E staff , Orthopaedic Dr’s .Fracture clinic staff ,theatre staff , recovery nurses , physio. …
Good medical services – BUT diabolical car park issues!!!! Be prepared for 20 minutes of frustration chasing a space… Whoever woefully underestimated the car park capacity when the hospital was designed and built needs medication for their lack of foresight….
Your security are a joke as are your rules.
My wife is pregnant and is waiting with my daughter to see a DR in a&e. Your rules state only one parent which is a joke, where is the other parent meant to go? …
Staff were polite and friendly, A&E reception was efficient, healthcare was amazing, food was delicious and hygiene standard was excellent. All staff including reception, medical, cleaning, food prep, porters and CT scan team are professional, caring and clearly dedicated and hardworking in the A&E, X-Ray and AAU.
Nurses in A&E and in the wards are lazy liars, rude, have no compassion and no sympathy.
Doctors are liars and cannot communicate well. …
My GP Doctor referred me to A&E in Barnet Hospital, and wrote a personal letter about my condition and attached my ecg results. I arrived at the Hospital 13:45pm and left 12:00am. I stayed there over 10 hours and finally decided to leave …
I was admitted to A&E to rule out Cauda equina syndrome. The waiting area was packed with people standing not ideal in my situation. I arrived circa 6pm and spent 18 hours there. A doctor told me that I would be kept in overnight …
Made to wait for hours for every little thing. In ward, asked if I want breakfast, options – bread or cornflakes, seriously, what happened to breakfast, bread or cornflakes what a joke. I always remember being in hospital and getting a …
I take no joy in posting what you are about to read but hopefully the person responsible may feel guilty that this “incident” is out there. March 2023, Rainbow ward. An elderly relative that was a patient was having hearing issues with …
Writing this while I am still in ward.
I wish I could give 0 star.
One of the horrible hospital I have been in my life , most of the nurses are …
Good hospital
No parking problem
Very good staff …
Parking awful, insufficient, and no information of nearby parking. Phlebotomy receptionist is very rude, raised her voice to a number of patients, she should not be patient facing.
What a credit to Barnet Hospital and the NHS the team in the ultrasound department are. Without going into too much detail, the treatment I received today was exemplary, with the staff going above and beyond in order to diagnose my ailment. Thank you all!
Would give it nil, waited 12 hours in A&E With Severe breathing problems which needed immediate attention. The Doctor I eventually saw was ill qualified and not English literate who refused to prescribe anti biotic with my steroid …
Traumatic a and e experience. Security guard certainly busy and they readily throw you out cause your having a panic attack. I had an infection yet they didn’t give me antibiotics. Kept forgetting I was there. 8 hrs later just rehydrated me …
Neighbour in Barnet Hospital for a week with respiratory problems. Sent home to empty cold house with oxygen level 89. On a Friday morning this ward kicks people out.even if unfit. Neighbours had to call ambulance and poor man had to be returned to hosp. Disgraceful.
Had a blood test on floor 0 and Donna the receptionist is extremely rude, patronising and has a very bad attitude. She’s very unprofessional and shouldn’t be hired by the NHS, all she does is yell and belittle people that know less than her.
Doesn’t even deserve one star. Went for blood test and the woman was so rude. How can she work with people??? I warned her I faint sometimes and she told me if you faint so you fall on the floor. She doesn’t care. It’s hard to write this …
I was admitted to the fracture clinic with a broken arm. The treatment so far has been good. I just wish they stuck to the appointment they give you. As it’s appointment-only I don’t understand how I’m consistently seen 2 hours later than …
Visited A&E with my 7months old baby, waited over 7hrs as there was only one DR working. They wanted a urine simple as my baby was not feeding, vomiting and had diarrhoea for the past few days. After a long wait my baby was examined on my …
Whilst the medical treatment of our teenage son was slow it was thorough. The reason for the 1 star rating is due to the exceptionally rude security guards who spoke to us and other patients like sub humans including an elderly couple who …
Terrible service. Just left their a&e with my little one after waiting 4 hours. They could have told me within the first hour that the result had come back and I could take him to an urgent care in the morning as the worst was over but just didn’t bother until I asked. Go somewhere else if your child needs help!
Amazing experience. My GP sent me to A&E after a blood test with alarming levels. I was seen within 5 minutes. A cannula was fitted immediately pain free & bloods taken. Within an hour I had chest x-ray and scan with dye. A wonderful doctor …
I had a sudden severe stomach pain and called ambulance whom refused to come so I called a neighbor to take me to a&e Barnet. I had never been ill before… So admission was done whilst I was in agony within seemed to be few minutes and …
Went with my mum, she has massive lower back and lower tummy pain for about 2 months. They did blood tests and urine tests, nothing. They did xray, still nothing. Physio recommended to her GP, but still went to a private chiropractor …
Amazing experience. Thank you NHS. Amazing nurses, HCAs, physics and doctors. A family member attended the Juniper ward, and was looked after very well by all the staff, who are bona fide heroes. They deserve the pay rise they are asking for!
An other awful NHS experience at A&E paediatric visit, Georgie was incredibly rude to us, and she surely isn’t someone who should be working with people, but with plants. I’m not even mentioning anymore, my 4 month old been referred to A&E …
Writing this while still waiting for my teen daughter who was admitted to a&e (“Rapid”assessment) almost four hours ago! I have had to wait outside for her the whole time without any updates as to what’s going on except from herself by …
We used the barnet hospital a few times, but I never saw so many unqualified doctors. They have no idea about anything. Compare to Germany or Switzerland they are absolutely useless.
My husband became ill and had to attend A&E twice in a week, the staff on both occasions were outstanding. He was admitted to Maple ward and the staff, to name a few Shelji, Precious, Anthony and Rizza were amazing, we honestly cannot thank the team enough for the amazing care and support everyone here has given.
Amazing experience best hospital for birth doctor excellent and midwife and other staff superb. My baby born on 28 December 2022 at 2am best doctor and staff.
I would give zero star if I could. Some of the midwives at barnet hospital are like murders (exp: Ms.Patel ….) . In Saturday it took 6 hours for me to see GP of barnet hospital although i was 5 months pregnant and was in pain. Due to poor …
I would like to highlight Dr Saroj Gautam in the trauma & Orthopaedics department as being one of the most friendly, professional and most knowledgeable doctors I have ever met. He is an asset the your hospital.
Long waiting time no communication with patients and blood test result need to wait long time, no proper process to treat patient.. Can’t even give Calpol on time for 3 year old baby 9hrs still waiting… wasting the time of the patients.. never again… they don’t even deserve one star..
Have had the best experience with the whole birthing team at Barnet Hospital, five star service. Excellent aftercare particularly with a student midwife named Samantha S, who helped my wife with breastfeeding. She was very knowledgeable and so patient with us. She will go far 🙂
My daughter has been in Barnet Hospital since October….the staff are wonderful and caring and we visit very regularly but the Hospital Car Park is a nightmare for parking and the machines for payment are regularly faulty
Highly recommend the hospital! Had an amazing labour and delivery experience. The staff were very calm, helpful and and supportive including the student midwifes! Food was exceptional and delicious.. recovery rooms were clean and quiet. …
People are rude and they made me wait 6h and still not been seen!! 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻 they told me at 3am that there are 6 people before me and after 3h they told me the same. And I strongly believe that my problem it’s was quite urgent …
I was with my son at Barnet Hospital with a high temperature and waiting almost 9 hours for a doctor to come and see him, very poor staff with no experence , same with the GP as well, very rabish country and medical side usless 0
I have just spent 4 nights in the Rainbow Ward – bay 6 I think but it was the bay with beds 16 to 2.0 and I was in bed 16
I have to say that the medical treatment I received was excellent. The nursing …
My dad was hospitalized here for 7 nights and we are appalled by the experience and they didn’t do anything to help him and he’s now been moved to another hospital who can help. Leaving him there for 7 days without doctors or any treatment has worsened my dads condition! Very poor hospital
The A&E staff and all the service offered was horrible! A very bad experience with my toddler. The doctor was nice and friendly though. Lack of things that a hospital should have especially on a children area. Rude nurses and endless waiting hours. It’s my 4th bad experience with this hospital. Hope are others luckier then us.
Ridiculous. Thank You NHS! For -> Nothing! wasted time .. mine and many other patients. Shame on all of you lazy ‘freaks. To all Staff at the hospital doing nothing .. i hope you get punished for not taking your job seriously . Of course …
Easy to access by public transport. Limited car parking spaces, you will be lucky if you get one. All staff are friendly.
Excellent service from the A&E got checked super quickly as soon as I got there. Came with an open wound on my upper lip and I needed to be stitch out. Just want to thanks to the doctor Joshua Lopez for his amazing job, super professional, calm and supportive through all the process. Couldn’t had been on better hands. Thanks Josh !!
Had worst experience in this hospital. Had to take my daughter with epoxy brain injury as a matter of emergency to their a&e. That evening we spent 21hours in a&e waiting. We only managed to see a doctor six hours after our arrival. Blood …
Easily one of the Best A&E Teams, we arrived after 9pm, the A&E waiting area was unbelievably chocker with people. Yet the staff were so organised that we were registered quickly. Then directed to another treatment unit which was also full …
Ridiculous day time security at A&E! Came in with my wife at 4am, been waiting there all these time with an occasional a cigarette break for myself. Had another cigarette break at 9 am but the security would not let me back in, he said …
Would honestly rate 0 stars if I could! AVOID AT ALL COST, would rather die then attend this hospital. The staff were very rude and unhelpful especially the nurses. …
NOT 5 STAR…. JUST SO YOU SEE IT.
My mum wasn’t allowed in with me, even after having a very bad panic attack and …
My dad was hospitalised here for 3 days and we are appalled by the experience. Arrived at a&e at 17:45 on Wednesday and despite being told it was a 6 hour wait to see a Dr my dad was not seen for 13 hours and all the while I stayed in the …
Had terrible tachycardia and presented at Barnet. It was incredibly rammed with four and five hour waits.
But clearly prioritisation works and I got seen within 30 minutes. Then was …
I recently gave birth to twin girls at Barnet hospital and I cannot fault the maternity department in any way! Our midwives were absolutely amazing – real life angels (Mina, Dami, Serena and Katie) they were so supportive, reassuring, …
One single picture that means a lot to me. I just want to say a big thank you to all people involved in the Barnet Maternity who help me and my wife to get to this moment. Nurses, midwifes, Doctors, etc. …
Shigi on utc so unprofessional and rude she needs to get some training how to handle the patients 😑 and her salary is coming from our wages. …
Will not go to Barnet A&E or the UTC again. Took my daughter there under a suspected hernia. Rude rude security staff. Receptionist clueless about what’s going on. Was there for 5hours for a 5 minute check up! …
At the delivery suite there was a midwife who was looking after me for 12 hours on her shift on the 23rd of October. Unfortunately I don’t remember for her name, but I remember she mentioned she is from Lebanon. I can’t tell how thankful I am for her, she was doing everything above and beyond to help me.
This is the best hospital in Enfield council. They’ve treated me and other family members with so much care and kindness over the years. Thank you to all the staff at the barnet hospital.
Security staff are really nice as are the check in staff. Unfortunately, I had to leave after six hours having had no bloods or scan. Just checked in with triage. Very disappointing. Maybe the whole notion of barnet hospital should be …
I was treated very well, I can’t express my gratitudine feeling towards the doctors and nurses and all the others staff during my one night stay in hospital. Thank you again for what you have fone to me.
