I cannot thank the kind patient staff in audiology. I lost my hearing totally in one ear at the age of 19. I am now 70. I received my hearing aids for the first time (one being a cross over hearing aid for my deaf ear)and I am enjoying every single sound I hear thank you so much

Three months after my GPs referral to the ENT dept of this hospital for examination of my inner ears, I was rung up by a member of staff and this absurd and farcical telephone conversation has now been statistically recorded as a ‘hospital consultation’ and I have been discharged without ever having been seen! Utter dishonesty.

I’ve always been looked after very well here whatever I’ve been for. Being epileptic the neurology is always a good department. I’d certainly recommend the hospital to anyone. However, it may be my drugs or natural I’ve lately lost my hearing – anyone tell me why my appointments are by telephone?

I was there to visit my father in law but the ward would only allow 1visitor per day. I have never seen the hospital as quiet as this. The parking charges are quite steep, if you are a minute over the time the charge increases steeply I.e. £2.00 for the first hour and £3.00 for 61 minutes. Staff are helpful. V. clean.
