Write a ReviewThis Waterstones was really nice and offered the perfect backdrop for an author talk event! We wandered downstairs to an area filled with seats. The view wasn’t the best from all seats but the sound system worked well! They had a great bar …
Always a great pleasure, treated with excellent customer service. I have been to a few branch and everywhere I did go I was never disappointed. There is a book for everyone, perfect gift for book lovers. They have some stationary, wrapping paper and cards.
Great book shop with a coffee bar downstairs. Always worth a visit and a fantastic place for gifts.
Nice store with a good atmosphere. The Coffeeshop in the basement was a big plus for weary walkers (tourists). They have a good selection of regular history books, but the section on wwii was below par. Insanely biased shelf, not a dissenting view in sight. I guess that’s how the brits like it
Attended a book launch in the basement. Good venue, bit on the warm side but buzzy atmosphere & could buy books so I stocked up
Such a lovely store with very friendly staff. The customer services person ( male, cannot recall his name ) at the reception was exceptional. Out of all the waterstones I have been, this was the best. Keep being awesome x
Great customer service and knowledgeable staff! Wide selection of books and if you feel the vibe of the cafeteria, it’s just wonderful!
A smart bookshop with cafe. Sometimes feel that staff could be more engaging. But this is London I guess, all retail staff see too much and get drained.
Nice store, clean and very well presented. I was there for an event and it was well hosted and I got to meet two great writers.
good place to go, lack of professional books
I am certainly not the only book lover who wish they could permanently live inside this bookshop. …
One of my favourite book stores in Central London. It’s always a treat to visit. They have all the latest releases near the entrance, the organisation of the shop is fantastic. Easy to find what I’m looking for! They have a great collection of board games at the back too.
Great bookstore, but the actual bar downstairs really got this 5th star 🌟 …
For what it’s worth this, smaller location Waterstones has had the copy of SULA and THE NIX that I was looking for that I could NOT for the life of me find at any of the other sexier bigger bookstores in town. This Waterstones has always come through and thusly earned it’s five stars!
It’s an amazing place and the staff are so nice and helpful. There are sofas and chairs where you can sit down and look through the books in peace. It has I believe 4 floors with elevators. It has great opening hours and also a cafe where you can enjoy a nice cup of coffee.
A gorgeous modern bookstore. Best of all is what goes on in the basement! Book events, pop up cinema, and there is even a bar. A great selection of books, along with friendly staff. …
Lovely small Waterstones.
Good selections of books (limited choice since this is a smaller one), lovely cafe and very friendly members of staff
Waterstones is known for books, but this branch has a hidden coffee place below that provides an amazing coffee. So do not just look at what options are available along the Tottenham Court Road, but just walk into this branch and go down the stairs to experience a hidden cafe.
It’s a bookshop. They have books here. I like to read. This is a good match. If it were a video store, then not so much.
Thanks so much to the girl with short brown hair! She helped me so much finding my book, now I can read “A brave new world”, she was so nice and gentle. Thank you so much again!
Good collection of titles. Favourite hangout place in Tottenham Court Rd. Near to UCL and SOAS.
Good range of stock and a peaceful browsing atmosphere. Can’t ask for anything more with a bookshop.
Just Amazing store, with coffee shop down stairs.
Great diversity of books, really nice place
An amazing place for students to hang out and find such an amazing collection of real books. The ideal space to switch off your phone and get lost in a book. And there are always ideal gifts for my family or friends.
Very nice book shop with good selection. For those who are looking for manga, they have a wide selection. Multiple volumes of different titles for reasonable prices. Worth checking out in my opinion.
The bookstore has a wide varitey of bestsellers and also lesser known books. Their true crime section certainly did not disappoint. Staff as helpful and friendly as well
Super exciting place, great books awesome atmosphere 😀 …
Visited basement cafè and bar. Enjoyed the pot of tea that has 3 serving and the carrot cake. Code to use unisex washroom on receipt.
Surprisingly quiet and cozy despite its location. Doesn’t offer as much variety of books as other branches even though the interior is massive. Bonus points for the lovely coffee shop on the lower ground floor.
Lovely bookshop with quiet café downstairs.
Conveniently situated amongst other shops near Tottenham court Road station. Bright ( not overbearing though )& welcoming. Table arrangements of current promotions are easy for everyone to navigate to reach main shelving area which as you …
Lovely staff, big bookshop with a downstairs as well for events. No faults 💜 …
Good place but toilets need refurbishing.
Extremely comfortable chairs 4/5
Wonderful range of books & games, just that bit extra compared to other Waterstones
This is a large branch of the Waterstones bookstore chain. It has a very good selection of books of all genres and for all ages. It also offers a variety of other goods, such as magazines, stationery, small decorations and souvenirs, board games, etc. It is an excellent bookstore and certainly worth a visit when you are in the vicinity
Popped into for a coffee. The coffee shop is in the basement, where there are the toilets (currently out of the order), free wifi and the coffee shop. They sell sandwiches, pastries & cakes, wine and also coffee, with plenty of sitting down …
Staff are nice and helpful. Plenty of chairs and tables downstairs. Downside there was not a wide selection of books unfortunately
Book shop is nice as usual but the cafe downstairs is a real gem. I’ve been here twice this week and the staff have been polite, warm and smiley. They also have soft muffins which they warmed for me and scrummy carrot cake which they …
Very good prices, better than Bucharest 🫣 …
Went to the cafe downstairs to have a look at their travel books and enjoy a great cup of matcha latte. …
Beautiful place for the books lovers❤️
We visited three bookshops within walking distance of eachother on the same day, so we were in a good position to compare them. The stock in this branch of Waterstones was nowhere near as good as Hatchards or the Gower Street Waterstones. …
Big book shop , we found a book that was not in other shops!
Toilet are not free tho.
Like all Waterstones, this store is as comfortable and welcoming as a fireplace in the winter. The best part is the adorable bar/cafe on the bottom floor! Great place to study, and the espresso martini I was served was nice and smooth. Special thanks to the blue-haired and ginger baristas- you were both fantastic!
if you have a problem with people taking pictures maybe put a sign up. because how is this suspicious/offensive when I clearly took pictures only of 2 wall decorations? I clearly didn’t push my camera in someone’s face for it to be …
I purchased my diary from there and I can assure you that you will face the most kind staff at Waterstones. They are really helpful with any book request.
Good happy, I purchased few things on my visit
The staff at this store are the most lovely people, I left my daughters favourite bag there and they looked after it after finding it and have sent it back to me at their own expense. I am so grateful to them! Not to mention it is a lovely store and my daughters love the books they chose there.
Pretty good book shop,
I click and collected a book here via the Waterstones app, the whole process was very straight forward. …
Excellent place for a quiet browse. One of my favorite places London. Can get lost browsing well stocked shelves of books on every topic.
A bookstore is quite the rarity of today and this one will not disappoint. Set over three floors, with a nice homely cafe in the basement. I could spend hours in there – actually I do!
What an amazing collection of books! I love this place
My favourite place to go on a friday afternoon!
Delightful store with staff who are actually ‘Booksellers’. They’re interested and eager to assist when you want help finding a particular title/ genre.
Lovely basement Café selling Barista coffee/ snacks with a calm ambience for …
Foyles used to be my go-to bookshop, until a bad experience with a bookseller forced me to look elsewhere for my literary fix. I ventured further up the road and discovered this gem along Tottenham Court Road. It’s been five years and I …
Really nice shop. Great selection.
Me and my friend were literally running while being late to something while passing this store but it caught our eye
Looked around , my friend bought a book he’s been meaning to for a long time …
Always a good range of books at Waterstones, the bigger stores obviously have a larger range though. Good to see the chain surviving inspire of so much online competition.
Nice space downstairs. Good selection of books. If you are near TCR or Goodge Street definitely stop by.
It’s a small Waterstones so it has a very limited range. Nowhere to sit if you want to browse. Downstairs floor was closed on my visit so I do not know how much better the range is down there and, come to that, seating.
I did a click and collect and it went like clickwork! The staff were so friendly, it was a pleasure to make the purchase. I saw one of the staff being so kind to an elderly lady who was getting a little confused. You don’t get that on Amazon! Long live the high street book shop!
I mostly read mainstream romance books, haven’t been able to find any in the two stores I’ve been by. Honestly pretty disappointed by this since I was excited to visit Waterstones while in England
Spent a few days in London so had to visit. The size of the shop and selection available is much larger than my local branch so I was like a child in a sweet shop. Or me in a sweet shop 😀. Friendly & knowledgeable staff who obviously love …
Always a refreshing experience walking into or through a WaterStones
If you need some work papers , it’s a wrong destination.
Breathtaking book store. My friends and I spent hours here and we felt like we did not even scratch the surface of what this Waterstones could offer. I feel like a day trip may be in order!
Went to the bar in the basement where the service is truly dreadful.Went at 6pm Fri 27/01 & the female on duty was rude .
Nice place to find the peace and drink coffee.
Amazing selections of books. And i had help from a very nice young man at the counter. Found the book very quick. Great customer service !
Very helpful staff who went out of her way to find the book we wanted. It was the last copy in the shop and in the wrong place, what a star
Lovely bookshop.
I like the way it has been arranged giving different focus in all aspects of the modern books shop. …
Nice store on Tottenham Court Road. Has a lovely entrance and selection of books in many genres across 3 floors.
One of the smaller Waterstones branches but the more the merrier for me. Excellent service by willing staff. Clean, warm, comfortable shop in which people are encouraged to browse at their leisure.
Nice arrangement and assortment of books, albeit an interesting way to display them. Very fun, though, if you’re into browsing for hours on end!
Great placey with friendly staff. Clean and laid out efficiently.
Gorgeous bookshop with a lovely cafe in the basement which serves up coffees, cakes and savoury dishes, including soup. They even do cocktails, which look amazing! It’s in a great location just seconds from Tottenham Court Road Tube station. The staff are really friendly and go out of their way to help customers.
Really friendly and helpful staff. Great selection of books that you could be tempted to browse for hours. Watch out though, not all Waterstones have the same offers on books, but if you find a good manager, they will match the offer of another branch.
Nipped into this store around 9pm to pick up a travel guide as I’m going away on holiday in a few days time, I had intended to rush in and out as I was sure they would be closing soon. I headed downstairs where a few of the store assistants …
The site is bigger than it looks with a downstairs (basement) containing a sitting area and coffee shop.
A great selection of books and very well organised. …
