Always had good experiences in children’s A&E. Doctors and nurses have been so helpful. It’s a shame so many people are negative about a service that is free. If there are long waiting times it’s because the staff are overstretched and there are far too many people going there for non-urgent reasons.

Going through a horrible time with bowel surgery, I´m glad that I ended up here. One of my worst experiences but taken care of by amazing people. I have nothing but praise for the staff at Whipps, they’re under great pressure but still managing to do a great job – Recently I spent five days in there with pneumonia; they saved my life & the food was good too – On the negative side, I did notice some of the patients in the respiratory ward I was in seemed ungrateful and ungracious.

One required medication, and insisted on sending it to the outpatients’ pharmacy rather than my local pharmacy. I went for an oral surgery consult, the service was excellent and really fast, I was seen before my appointment time, sent for X-ray (twice) which was much less uncomfortable than the X-ray machines in the dentists and the overall experience and result was very good, with all staff lovely.
