Write a ReviewVery helpful staff, however what I required said in stock online, but when I went to the store it was in stock at the supplier and had to be delivered, said free delivery but once in basket an extra £7.00 delivery charge was added and no …
I have been to Wickes a few times over the past week – it is our local large DIY store. It stocks the majority of the items and things I have wanted. The store is located with other businesses. There is plenty of parking. There are trollies …
Initial consultation was great, and good front end customer service. However, now we’ve gone through the process of fitting a new bathroom once, we realise that there’s a lot of redundant pricing and will look to manage future projects on …
Wickes is handy for me as is quite close but I always come away slightly disappointed.
Never much choice and the last visit didn’t have any trolleys! …
Not easy to find someone to help you but good range of products and well laid out store.
Not bad store with easy parking, they didn’t have the product I wanted on shelf and couldn’t get new ones from the back of store as not booked in. Rang up 2 hours later same story even though it said online they had one in store. Lesson learned ring up first to check !
Had kitchen fitted in late 2020 which began to fall apart in 2021. Despite being under warranty, customer service just couldn’t care less. It’s all ‘it’s being looked into’ or ‘someone will phone you back’ but no one ever does. Its been …
Good stock good prices friendly staff
Went looking for new Kitchen ideas, surprising range available in a smaller store.
Yard staff extremely helpful and very polite whilst making my delivery health and safety 100% everybody happy . Fork truck driver was amazing she knows her job
Very difficult to manoeuvre through the store. Every aisle had obstacles that made it difficult to get past with a trolley. And once outside of the shop the wilted flowers displays were strategically placed to make it difficult to get back into the car park
On arriving at Wickes Fareham today my 2 year old had fallen asleep. I called up the store and told them.that I really needed a product but my son was asleep. The man who answered very kindly explained that if I did a click and collect he …
Not very busy but large queue for tills as servers were few and slow. Spent longer in payment queue than selecting item wanted. Also charged more than expected as item was placed with wrong price on shelf.
Waited in a queue for 30 mins to get in. Was asked twice by staff outside what I’d come for – wood. When I finally got inside I found the shop nearly completely empty of timber. Could have told me!!?
Good but a very dirty branch of wickes
Had a bathroom installed through them, floor broke after 6 months. Despite being under warrantee it took 6months to get them to agree to replace it and more than a year later they still haven’t replaced it. In store people really helpful, installation manager just refuses to communicate with us and seems to be just ignoring this case.
Absolutely shocking customer service. It seems like they make a habit of designing bathrooms, ordinary wrongly and then ripping you off in the process. Aboif getting your bathroom and kitchen designed unless you wish to never hear from them again and get blamed for everythibg the moment you sign
Made an attractive gravel path between flower borders. Bags are a bit flimsy and two out of the four on display had been re-bagged in plastic sacks but didn’t seem to have lost anything. Without prompting from me I was given a 50% discount on the split bags. Can’t argue with that! I’ll be back!
3rd July 2020 @ 11.20am.
Click & collect order of sharp sand & cement, had to use this store as sharp …
Had a very expensive bathroom fitted, big mistake! Parts missing, parts unavailable. Tiles were applied with corners missing , grout was patchy and wrong colour to what was agreed. Had to choose a toilet 4 times as no stock ! Finally get …
Avoid like the plague. Do not get a bathroom installed by wickes at any cost. Their management and aftercare are extremely bad so expect to be out of pocket.
Still operates like an old fashioned Builders Merchants. I popped in to buy a roll of duct tape but probably due to just having come out of lockdown I spent longer at the checkout than I did buying. Even though the store was not crowded the …
Excellent social distancing arrangements. We went for a kitchen consultation. The shop assistant listened to our ideas and complimented them with his own expertise, without being pushy. An all round positive experience.
Excellent help from Brett Jones kitchen design consultant. He visited my property to discuss a new kitchen and gave me a lot of his time. Professional, knowledgeable, helpful and no sales pressure. Unfortunately I did not buy a kitchen from …
Staff are friendly and helpful. Well stocked (check online before you go though) and plenty of parking.
Customer service is the worst I’ve ever had, bought a bag of sand they sold as soiled goods cheep for the driveway but was wrong sand I took it back but they wouldn’t accept the return as they said it was sold as soiled, it’s not about the …
managing to find a space can be rubbish due to Vauxhall taking over the large side car park..expect to be underwhelmed by the lack of customer service / help ..this place and staff have gone down hill..I go elsewhere now and they are far better on all levels
SHAME I COULDN’T RANK IT WITH A ZERO – All we hear about is everyone going online for their shopping and shops as a result are closing down. Well here is the reason – went in for a product Wickes advertise on their website, there were none …
We added to our kitchen supplies in 2014. The 3 cupboards and new sink were installed by the engineer in a very efficient and professional manner. All at a reasonable price. Thanks to Graham and the Wickes sales team.
Do not buy “joinery grade” timber here. You will be sold a bunch of bananas, and you will have to return the items at your expense and inconvenience in order to get a refund. Customer services a waste of time.
Click and collect awful. They picked shopping when you arrive despite a text informing order is ready to collect. After 20 mins wait, they brought me out a box full of broken tiles, so had to wait another 10 mins for them to swap it. Should never have ordered online, waste of time
Poor range of silicon sealants, no staff on the floor to help customers, very long queue to pay without manning all the tills. A nice lady staff member let us in so we didnt have to stand in the rain too long with my kid. Went to homebase instead.
Has most of what you need for household DIY
Called in to buy a bag of Tarmac patch, all is well until coming to pay, despite 4 pay points there is at least a dozen waiting. No one acknowledged us, apologised and left us all standing waiting. A more senior staff member complete with …
Very disappointing….. asked for some advice in the Kitchen dept.. 1 man and 1 woman designing on computers… I asked for advice and didnt get the service that I would expect.. didnt even get out of his chair just pointed and said you …
It’s wickes a solid supplier, a little expensive overall. fareham’s has good location and parking with average food van. And with impressive opening times of 0700 till 2000 that’s good access. …
Good place to shop. Had what I needed. Staff were friendly and it wasn’t too busy
While first in queue for till holding roll of felt 25kg plus nails, a member of staff brought a woman forward for a long discussion. Surely a supervisor could be seen. Save a queue of customers moaning of previous visits.
Had to queue to get in, slight pain not end of world, about 15 minutes. Had what needed, returned item at the same time. Painless and swiftly out to fit.
Got what I needed quickly. Some staff stood around chatting as I struggled with a heavy load (yes, I should have got a trolley but hadn’tplanned on getting much initially) but they could have asked if I needed help.
Went to Wickes today looking for some garden products. Looking at some fence stain and I asked a member of staff for some advice and he was very helpful advising in different products I was really impressed he took me to another area to …
There were only a handful of people there, in and out in minutes as they are only allowing a few, and I mean a few as in almost single numbers, of people in. Like everywhere else they will go to click and collect in the future, they may as …
Useless as usual. Completely unhelpful. Don’t trust stock levels. Managers won’t even come and assist you when you need them. A disgraceful show towards customers. Avoid.
A good store, well laid out. I was pleased to find the staff extremely helpful and pleasant; this was not the case a few years ago. …
So. After spending £12000—£13000 on a kitchen from Wickes 2 years ago, we are still left with a hippo bag on our property and a plug socket hanging from the wall. Not to mention the original rushed job (still have photos) as well as other …
Great place with plenty of parking, and a good variety of stock
Served by nice helpful Yong lady who helped me find some brackets I needed. And nice polite girl on the cheek out.
Ordered some gate online, told between 8.00 and 18.00.
Had text saying between 8.00 and 13.00
Phoned wicks 15.00 as not arrived and told on its way and shouldn’t have got …
Wickes are what they are. Generally pretty good value for a wide range of products. This particular store in Fareham has a slightly confusing entry system due to the Covid restrictions but everything in the store was fine and fairly swift
Click & collect. Worked like a dream. In and out in less than 5 minutes.
Busy queue, cashier also asked if I wanted to donate to a charity which felt really forced upon. Overall a good shop though
Good range of stock for your DIY jobs, got what I wanted, but thanks to CV the queue to get in is too long, best to use click and collect if you can.
Total joke! Long queues of diyers. We are ment to still be in lockdown. Essential shopping only and shopping for trade. Wickes is just a shabby DIY store now. Over priced low quality products. No wonder Travis Perkins are selling them off. I’m off to Covers in Gosport.
Good range of DIY goods. Staff helpful. Couldn’t find one particular item. Staff member helped me look. Went and checked stock. Offered alternatives. Even suggested that Screwfix nearby may be able to help. Excellent.
Click and collect awesome! In out sorted
Had a kitchen design, which I had a budget for and they tried selling me a kitchen 3 times my budget and was quite arrogant with me about it , telling me a new kitchen small kitchen would cost me near 16 grand wothout fitting which is …
Can get most diy stuff here. Free carpark with annoying speedbumps. Do their own range of products which seems to be on a par with the big names. My main shop for paints etc.
Local diy/builders merchants. Store has just had a much needed revamp making the store brighter with lots more natural light.
Staff have been working here for years and have a good rapport with the …
I tend to use Wickes branches quite frequently and needed some 19×32 battens of which there were supposed to be 12 packs (8’s) available at this branch in Fareham. I’d checked this online about 30 minutes beforehand. What a shock to go into …
Highly rate this store for anyone who is undertaking refurbishment to their property, brilliant selection of top grade materials at very competitive prices. Go try it you won’t be disappointed.
It’s a great store but the lack of enthusiasm from staff is evident with long queues and one poor bloke by himself. Come on wickes sort your nonsense out
Picked up some bargain stock that was sold out everywhere else in the country. Drove a few miles to get here because my local wickes couldn’t supply the same items. Staff were efficient.
Store us brilliant although new speed bumps in car park ridiculous, it isolutates many shoppers esp with how harsh they are. Wickes will need to start giving discount on cars suspension
I’ve used Wickes since moving to Fareham in 2001, and had normally been very satisfied. But today’s visit was a disaster! They have installed the most vicious speed bumps I have ever encountered, and my little car objected almost as much as me. I shall not be able to return.
Was looking for a bathroom light and chanced a look at Wickes even though the website didn’t have what I wanted on it. To my surprise they had a different range that was perfect so well pleased.
Good selection at good prices.
New speed bumps, simple solution park around the side by the disabled bays. …
Went to collect some timber and glue, both of which they had in stock just like it said on their website, very happy.
Visited Wickes today and given I have used the store since ‘day’one. I asked at front desk for “Jumbo” bags which used to be at the front. I was told isle1. Walked to isle but could not see any. A member of staff said they are at the front. …
No longer sell the tile we required
Generally very good with helpful staff. Some stock is unavailable but I guess that’s due to the current situation.
Good selection of DIY and trade goods on offer, i usually find what im looking for, and if not the staff are very helpful in pointing me in the right direction. Ample parking.
Excellent service from the kitchen dept. Everything explained well and Emma, who created our kitchen plan, couldn’t have been more helpful.
made me push half a ton of sand on a trolley because they couldn’t be bothered to get a pump truck
Long queue to get in
Not enough trolleys because they are all being used for click and collect
Hard to move round shop because of all the trolleys will click and collect goods on them
Friendly, helpful staff who answered all our questions on kitchens. Their excellent customer service has convinced us to order from them.
Had a dilemma over paint colours every colour I wanted only had Matt finally found the colour with help from one of your lovely girls unfortunately didn’t get her name.
Needed some wood, checked on internet for stock and it said they had that size in stock, drove over and nothing, half hour journey each way, waste of time.
Very rude store assistants and checkout couldn’t be bothered or interested plus showing stock online but when you get to the store to collect none in stock , won’t be going again
Evo Stick contact adhesive 500ml shown on the net as having 9 in stock, but none on the shelf, another wasted journy
I had a very nice lady on the phone, she went and checked to see if they had a certain paint. Then she held it by for me.
